    I use small needle grouping because it makes it sharper and it saves me some time without having to switch cartridges.

    What voltage do you use to pack solid black
    & what mm thrust do you use or how far deep 3mm?

  • @lifteddreamz5871
    @lifteddreamz5871 11 месяцев назад +1

    When u say your just useing the tip are talking maybe .5mm? Also what's the reason or not going as deep? Wouldn't the ink fall out?

    Hey Daniel! When you are packing solid black with a mag and you are using a wired machine, would you switch over to the shader jack on the power supply or the liner jack?

    If I have a 1203RL and a 1205RM , how would I complete a tattoo using them? Also is the 1205RM considered the smallest shading needle?

    Hey Daniel? I’m an inspiring tattoo artist and I’ve been watching your videos which are a huge help.
    One question that I did have is when I’m lining, and my needle feels like it snags in the skin . What exactly does that mean? What’s going on here?

  • @brandirae1984

    What ink are you using? I use dynamic triple black.

    • @alfonsorodriguez3475
      @alfonsorodriguez3475 2 года назад

      He uses dynamic black on that piece… I love the dynamic black and also use solid ink black for bold lines that stay extremely saturated in one pass. also love their grey wash set (heals a bit smoother even when using standard needles instead of bugpins. Hs to be definitely cause when it saddles in it does like to disperse a tiny bit more than the dynamic. And that sh***t is black black)

    Hey so i have lots of very thin fake skin. Is there anyway i can use it to its max potential. Right now i just stack 2 on top of each other and have them sitting on more just for no vibrations.

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  9 месяцев назад +1

      I started on some very very cheap Amazon fake skins that were super tough to tattoo on. I mean I had to really drill those skins but I did learn a lot on them. I just used one layer and although it was super loud to tattoo because the vibration bounced back with my table I tattooed on.
      I would say just use them as you see fit. Try your learn about needle depth and hand speed to voltage. If you can get acquainted with these fundamentals early on it kind of sets the tone for our future. I never stacked fake skins on one another that I can remember but this maybe good for the reason you mentioned. Did you notice a drop in noise when you stacked 2 layers of fake skin?

    • @-Nikoli-
      @-Nikoli- 9 месяцев назад

      @DanielYuck yes it is quieter when I stack them. Even tho I don't try and go all the way through, I like to have the second skin under just in case because I reuse my needles on fake skin and whenever they hit the table they get dulled down alot. Thank you for your input.

    Hey Daniel whats the best needle type and size or needle count for packing colors and black solidly.
    I'm using Allegory Black Ink and Dynamic Black+ colors.
    I only have Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Black as my colors and i only have like 4 curved mags left for the month but i have a 50pk of 3RL, 5RL, 7RL, 9RL, 11RL assortment. They are all #12(0.35mm) guage and all are Wasp brand Needles like ive seem you use on your channel, the package has Honey comb polygon patterns on box and cartridge package.
    Been trying with Curved Mags 7CM to 13CM and 7RL's and it isnt going well after healing for 5-8 days.

    Just starting out here with tattooing. I invested in really high quality supplies including fake skin, but, I'm wondering something...
    I've watched tutorials about how to use vaseline to coat the fake skin, like you might with flesh, to make needle glide along skin better AND to help with clean up. I've watched countless tutorials about using paper towel to dab that vaseline up to clean up excess ink. But... my fake skin keeps getting stained, and full of smudges everywhere ( which makes it hard to distinguish what's shading/what's just stained.
    They say to press and not to swipe when tattooing fake skin as swiping will make me of a mess. But the only think that seems to clean not only the smudges everywhere, but the excess ink us taking vaseline, mixing it WITH the ink, then swiping. But when I do this, it lifts A LOT of the ink in my tattoo on the fake skin.
    So, either I get a bold fake sling tattoo with smudges everywhere and it looks so messy OR a clean skin but DULL tattoo...
    I watch the videos and see the technique being used but I cant quite seem to master it. My fake skin I bought from a tattoo supply shop and is almost 2$ for one skin.
    Can you make a very detailed video about that??
    Also, I have only lined and tried shading once. I have 05,07,09,11 and 15 mags. I have s lining coil machine and a shading machine. I understand the concept of whip shading and can do that. Again, I've watched countless videos on here and understand the concept and words but cant seem to understand how to shade using the oval-like repetition movement. Using the circular motion, do I have to cross hatch the movement? When do AI know flash, not fake skin, is over worked? I can color pack using the circular motions, but I'm not understanding how to shade with it. Should I use grey wash to do a gradient black and grey shading while using this technique?
    Also, I am a really good artist. But learn better hands on. How do I ask for an apprenticeship? Where does my skill level need to be with tattooing before asking? How many pieces of art should be in my portfolio? Should I have tattoo pieces in my portfolio? What are tattoo artists looking for in an apprentice?
    I know I have a lot of questions. I've NEVER been interested in Patreon, but I actually checked yours out. If these questions could be answered, I'll absolutely sign up if it means I can ask specific questions. I dig your channel and thanks for the help!

    When I’m using small needles they seem to get clogged pretty fast. They don’t fill up with ink anymore. Any advice with that?

    • @KristinahaileyPermanentMakeup
      @KristinahaileyPermanentMakeup 2 года назад +1

      Try wiping/cleaning the tip of the cartridge after you dip with a paper towel or baby wipe water based. I also have a cup of distilled water and I clean my needle/tube as my pen is running and then dry it on a paper towel as often as I need to. This empties the tube from the accumulated dry pigment inside of it. Hope this helps!
