"Earth gas" (natural gas emanating from decomposing materials in the earth) sucked up, scrubbed clean and then compressed... Sewage works at cities can produce enough for operating all their 750hp diesel/CNG combined fuelled (10% diesel/90% CNG) pumps to move sewage through the system. Also all their vehicles... This was all the rage in the 1980's in New Zealand... and the sewage gas still powers the sewage pumps at Christchurch works.... The whole city's rubbish collection (including townships within 30 miles) is dumped in a lined pit with gas offtakes. At present 6 gas turbines generate electicity fed into the national grid. When full, 10 turbines will run for the next 50 years from the NG produced by rotting rubbish...
Normal people, doing normal jobs with no attitude. I usually love the audits where Police 'Go rogue' but these interactions restore my faith that there are still genuine people in the UK. Thanks DJ.
These are exactly the type of people that people need to see where they represent themselves, their employers, and emerging technologies well and show and explain things for those new to it. I hope his bosses see this video and see they have decent approachable staff who represent their company so well.
Not only do I enjoy your videos because of your interactions within audits, but the education that is learnt through your videos are next to none!! Amazing video DJ and what a gent that driver was! That’s how interactions should be 👊🏼👏🏼
I just sat and watched a guy filling up his truck with fuel whilst eating my dinner. On paper that sounds so weird. I don't care, I really enjoyed watching that. Some top range human interaction in this video, that's what I liked, as well as learning about the fuel I had no idea about before. Campeys of Selby, send her victorious... what an absolutely lovely outlook they must have.
This is what I’m saying, he was talking to you like a human and didn’t even once ask about the camera what a top bloke and a great to see and even got a honk goodbye big up that man and DJ, pj will be so proud of his son 😂 😂 😂 😂
How nice is it to see someone representing there company in a good light this guy was professional, courteous, knowledgeable about the fuel really nice to see👍👍👍👍👍
What a great bloke great interaction so informative and friendly talk about good timing a true professional at work what a audit absolutely awesome DJ 👍 loved it this is how all interactions should go what a big thumbs up for the company and a great bloke who works for this company
Great Audit, we have a Bio Fuel company collecting restaurant waste from all the retail waste bins connected to my office building. So none of the food waste goes to landfill any more. What a pleasant driver, no fear of a camera and happy to chat away. Really Interesting video.
Proper nice guy and very decent of him show you👍 nice to see how the different fuel station works and seems alot cheaper than diesel with less fumes as well as been a quieter vehicle overall👍
Another good educational video with a very nice bloke that took the time to explain things to you. Credit to him and his company. More like this DJ if possible please.
I've got personal connections to this video. I lived in Newark for over 30 years. My wife comes from Ostrava in the Czech Republic where the old Vitkovice factory stands. It used to be an iron works, but it has probably now been re-purposed for producing these high-pressure gas cylinders. People here don't realise how much heavy industry exists over there - probably dating back to the pre-communist era. The Vitkovice Iron Works was established by one of the Rothschilds. I'll bet a lot of the Skoda and Tatra vehicles consist of steel that was manufactured there. The Skoda vehicles are awesomely well-built as well. It's a small world!
One of the reasons Hitler wanted Czechoslovakia was the huge industrial capacity and knowledge especially the Skoda works. Plenty of "German" tanks were Czech like the Pz38 based on Czech designs like the Hetzer or built by Skoda. I had a Skoda Felicia (post VW) and it was the best car I've ever owned. All the best.
Now that my friend is how its done! The way that driver conducted himself was first class. He showed professionalism. I'm sure any potential customers that see this wouldn't hesitate to use his company.
Another fantastic interaction, the guy was a star, really nice attitude, Your MOTHER & FATHER should be realy proud of you, I know your BOSS will be over the moon good publicly .
Respect to the driver of campeys for his politeness and information. Biomethane seems a good way to go..... please people leave a Google review for the man.
You can actually make biomethane at home using a DIY anaerobic digestor. Loads of examples on RUclips. the wood gas/syn gas process is also interesting to do at home.
Why can't all of the security guards, drivers, engineers etc .... be as polite and professional as this gentleman! Thank you for another great vlog , DJ! xxxxx
I don’t watch soaps or tv much. I like the things in life dj your now part of my daily life 3:30pm you’ll seek me getting ready to sit down and have a little nosey at where you have been today !
I have learned something new today. Great job delivering wideos with eclectic subject matter , DJ. Massive respect to Campeys driver. What a lovely, enthusiastic and approachable chap. His bosses should be proud to have such a star in their fleet.
@DJ Audit, In US, "methane" is a by-product of decomposing garbage, oil drilling, and other sources. Biomethane might just be another name for [low grade] gases. .... Thanks for these educational videos.
In Cyprus bio gas digesters made gas to run modified spark ignition diesel generators providing electricity. The main ingredient for the digesters was pig slurry, but almost any waste product could be used. Was involved in commissioning stand by boilers to heat up the slurry to start the process. The end product made good fertiliser when the digesters were emptied. 🇨🇾🇨🇾🇨🇾👍
We really need 1 of them filling stations in our beautiful Leicester. Seams a long way between Newark and Northampton. What a spot on chap, he should get some free stuff from the methane gas people, why isn't this in the news?? 🤔
Excellent DJ teaching the public about these operations. Well done to the driver and Campeys Selbys. He didn't have to go through all that with but what a great bloke credit to the company. Once again ordinary working folk with no delusions of grandeur.
What a fabulous video! Absolutely smashing bloke, a total gem. A credit to his company and to lorry drivers in general. He deserves all the recognition he's likely to get from being on your video. Top notch. Well done that man! And to you of course DJ for your superb timing!
The no mobile phone request at filling stations etc., is to avoid possible gas fume explosion by a possible ignition spark created by an electrical appliance. So the fact that your camera is not a mobile phone and has no sim-card makes no difference whatsoever to removing that risk factor. For an electrical appliance, including mobile phone or video camera etc., to be deemed safe in that situation it would have to be certified as 'intrinsically safe' - (ISA-RP12-6 defines intrinsically safe equipment as "equipment and wiring which is incapable of releasing sufficient electrical or thermal energy under normal or abnormal conditions to cause ignition of a specific hazardous atmospheric mixture in its most easily ignited concentration.") And any fuel for use in an internal combustion engine would need to be 'flammable' by definition.
This is the kinda programming ITV was putting out late at night in the mid 90's, to watch after the pub, which was glorious, but this is better. Great stuff :)
It is an unrealistic perspective as Diesel is heavily taxed, whilst Bio fuels are subsidised. This is just political manipulation of ignorance. As Diesel and Petrol consumption reduces, the Inland Revenue will need to refill the massive tax hole by starting to tax the new fuels ... exactly the same way that Gordon Brown lied about Diesel always remining cheaper than Petrol and keeping it taxed less ...
That was HANDS DOWN the best, most interesting and educational audit you've done!! Brilliant. I hope that Driver sees your video and lots of positive comments about how professional and well mannered he conducted himself. He couldn't have been more accommodating. A credit to his company. I wish you'd gotten his first name so we could ring them and give him praise to his boss. Cheers DJ !
Much prefer this type of content .. Than the confrontational ones... But you can only react to how someone interacts with you.... This guy was a great ambassador for his company.... Give that man a pay rise
What a fascinating audit. I like to learn new things and I have been educated by you today. Top marks to the driver, not being frightened by your camera and happy to share his knowledge with you. I hope his company is very proud of him, he should get a job training the police in how to deal with the public.

A lot of the Dumps in Australia have Methane Gas being processed from the decomposition taking place. Used to generate power.
Yet energy costs are still through the roof and climbing.
The professionalism and conviviality of this driver shows us just how all these interactions should be. What a nice bloke.
I'd also bet that his professional attitude crosses over into his driving - so well done him & his employer
What a decent, professional and charming driver. A credit to himself and his company.
Normal people, doing normal jobs with no attitude. I usually love the audits where Police 'Go rogue' but these interactions restore my faith that there are still genuine people in the UK. Thanks DJ.
Yeah, what he said!
yes, I love how these are well done and interesting enough without Audit Failures, I love this channel, a true test of auditing rights
This guy was awesome. The company must be beaming with the way he handled himself. Great interaction.
This guy got to be employee of the year. This fella has sold the idea of this fuel better any marketing manager could have done.
Being friendly doesn't cost a thing and he's getting great praise for it..
Really interesting and a good advert for CNG and Campey's well done to that driver for being so polite and an accet to the company 👍
Driver seemed like a top bloke - there still are some decent people left in the World!
These are exactly the type of people that people need to see where they represent themselves, their employers, and emerging technologies well and show and explain things for those new to it. Great driver, good for his company. Thanks for this vid I live about a mile from the one in Warrington and did not know what type of fuel it was.
The no mobile phone request at filling stations etc., is to avoid possible gas fume explosion by a possible ignition spark created by an electrical appliance. It was a pretty dumb comment that 'it's not a mobile phone, so it must be OK' ... A bit like saying it's a lighter, but not matches !
@@Jester-Riddle Aye, and the one that it must be flammable then! - engine fuel???
Mobile phone was switched on in left hand at start of filming
Represented his company excelently.
What a fantastic video, what a really pleasant guy.a great ambassador for his company
This is the kinda programming ITV was putting out late at night in the mid 90's, to watch after the pub, which was glorious, but this is better. Great stuff :)

Nice guy. Probably enjoys his job too.
I have just promoted your videos, I now Cast them and watch them on the big flat screen TV .
Interesting stuff.
a very good ambassador for the company and a realistic perspective on renewable fuels! well done.
It is an unrealistic perspective as Diesel is heavily taxed, whilst Bio fuels are subsidised. This is just political manipulation of ignorance.
