Could you possibly do a video about pricing - how much items have sold for vs how much you start the price of your item at, to allow for offers to likers, sales, etc? Love your videos. Thanks for the tips!
Mom Thrifter she answers this in this video. It depends on the choices you make in going through her 10 steps - she answers it in the first 2 minutes. Cheaper fast flips with low cost of goods and lower selling point vs designer inventory with higher cost of goods and higher price point. It all depends on comps she says. Have to do your own research based on what you choose to sell and the comps. Some people choose to list at the higher end of comps, some in the middle to move quicker. It’s all your choice and preference.
Other tips too: Also buying some Poly Mailers (I get mine on eBay) are great to have as well. Yes I def keep the free boxes from USPS instock! I get them online as well as in the store. Stick with the priority mail (Not the Flate rate...for folks looking to get some)

all things delightful I agree completely but please tell me what to do with plus size shirts and blouses (1X or 2X) that look ridiculous on a dress form that’s probably a size 8. Great video! I'm debating on transitioning to be a reseller, just been selling personal items to this point. Can you do a video on how to start and utilize Instagram for your business. Also, how to get started on RUclips for your business?
This is so helpful!! I started selling on Poshmark back in February and I've learned a ton about what brands to sell and what works in my closet. However, I'm still not making the sales I'd like to be making (at most I can make $100 in a month), and I'm fairly sure a big part of that is because I don't have the inventory volume that I need to to be selling on a more frequent basis. I do genuinely love doing it though, I've always loved thrifting and sourcing is my favorite part! Also, one other thing I like to do for research is look at the "sold" listings in each category at different price ranges so I can determine what can turn a higher profit. I'd definitely recommend everyone do this!
Waste of time. Think for a moment. Its a new app but yet its nearly impossible to sell anything. Making 200 a month is something you should do in a day two or three. I deleted it.
I have been obsessed with the THREDUP RESCUE hauls, specifically the COACH bags and handbags versions!!!! Please do a video on a thredup rescue box haul!!!!

I would love to hear where sellers usually buy their new brands of clothing, accessories, shoes, etc. Are there good online sites to buy new inventory?
I have 89 listings, lol I'm so close! Sold 5 over the weekend so I was even closer (not complaining). Step 1 sounded difficult - I have no idea how to figure out what I'm willing to spend on pieces, other than a gut reaction to a price and looking up the item quickly at the store.
Excellent advice. Thank you so much. I'm on month 3 of selling on Poshmark and have been quite successful. All of a sudden in the past two weeks business has REALLY SLOWED which is discouraging but I am going to take your advice and have an Instagram presence. So far I do all of your other tips. Theresa Helmer Poshmark is great for this. This is what I’m doing right now and I’m selling 5-6 items a week. I’m not making crazy great profits, but these are things I have no use for anymore. So it’s Free money in my opinion.

Hello. I have 63 listings. I have sold 3 items in 2 . 5 weeks. I have probably 100 more items I need to list....any suggestions. ??? Feeling a little down. How many listings will I see a change ??? Thanks.
Go to Walmart for boxes and tape. I tried to use priority boxes from the usps online store and they said I couldn’t use it with the label I had and would have to pay allot more extra.... luckily they had a NORMAL box 📦 on standby and let me take it and re package it in store and hand it in there. They were so nice about it but I felt kinda dumb re packing my things in the post office....
My question is....can you have both high end or semi high end pieces along with less expensive clothes, or would the less expensive items take away from the more pricey ones?
What is the fee scale for Posh? I'm a full time ebay reseller and I want to try doing some cross listing- I do well on ebay but I've picked up things- like amazing Alexander Wang Heels- and they've sold for HUNDREDS more on posh. Thank you so much for your content!
I love the videos. I also live in Arkansas and trying to find good outlets to buy from. Is there decent Goodwill outlets in Bentonville or do you drive to other states for your inventory?
Wrong! You can't use just any box from the post office. You cannot use flat rate boxes, you cannot use express mail boxes, you cannot use Regional box "A" or Regional box "B" boxes from the website and you can't use any flat rate envelopes.
@@danigrey442 any box WITHOUT the words "Flat Rate" "Regional" "express mail" or " Mili-pack", no flare rate envelopes either. Make sure you read the measurements some of the boxes are ok only 2 inch tall, even though they are big. You can't fit a jacket or coat in those. You can use retail boxes from Walmart too. At night they stock before they close. But stay away from food or frozen food boxes.
@@danigrey442 they are are all on the website. Post offices Never have them in stock unless someone brings them in if they ordered the wrong box or something. And when they do they put them with they flat rate boxes display usually. But they disappear fast.
@@danigrey442 I just looked on the website and their's only 3 practical boxes you can use the others are add sizes. The free boxes are really for eBay, because eBay let's you ship Flat Rate and Regional box rates.
Tara T look for your item then filter under sold, price it a little high so you have wiggle from for offers. As far as shipping you can use any Priority Mail box, Flat rate box/envelope or any box or poly mailer you might have :) one thing I do recommends is wrapping your sold item in a plastics bag before you wrap it up just Incase the box/poly bag gets wet to prevent damage.
Shipping cost is determined by weight. The standard labely get automatically with a sale is good up to 5 lbs! If your package is heavier you can easily go in and upgrade the label to a higher weight! Sorry if you already know the answer to this I'm just now seeing this video.
I am not familiar with a lot of the newer brands and even some vintage bands. I mean I know the large ones like Gucci, Versace, Chanel, Hermes, Prada etc but the new boutique brands I have no idea. I recently subscribed to Vogue magazine to learn some of the brands. But it would be nice to have a way to reference the top brands that sell the most on Poshmark. So when you are out sourcing you are not having to Google every single thing on your phone. Do you have a way to do this or is the information already out there?
A super beginner's for Poshmark video would be awesome!!! I've been selling on eBay for a long time and would love to cross post my items on Poshmark and learn more about that platform.
Hi there! New subscriber! Thank you for the information. Sharing my inventory as we speak! Is there a way to share your closet all at once instead of one item at a time?
THANK YOU for always sharing ideas. I want to better organize my closet. I saw another posher have “dividers”, ex; shoes, pants, blouses etc. then all those items were sorted by the dividers. How is this done? Could you do a video on this? Also, if I share my closest, will everything get scrambled? I have noticed that when I share my closet, all those items go to the top of my page. That is why I asked this question. I hope I made sense 😊❤️
Personally, I think dividing your closet is a lot of work and kind of pointless (and I know she doesn't do her closet that way either). People like seeing a variety when they click on a closet and you can also easily sort to see what you want so dividing it by type might look nice at first glance but it's a lot of extra work for nothing.
New to Poshmark...Finding this Nov. 2020...Here's the question...Every video about Poshmark states to "share your closet". But I don't know what this means and how to do it. What are the steps to sharing your closet please? Thank you.
I use all thrift stores. Goodwill is probably the worst as far as price unless you go to the bins. Value village/savers is great cause they offer coupons. Also garage sales are great.
@@sittinwithsissy7561 I know everyone's regional Goodwill is different, mine has a 1.99 tag on Fridays and offers a 25% Facebook Friday coupon. The 1.99 tag becomes a 99 cent tag Sunday and Monday. UTILIZE THE TAG SALES! Goodwill has gotten outrageous with their pricing, but on a 99 cent day I can pay almost outlet prices or even less if its shoes.
thisbtch ishungry I disagree about the prices at Goodwill. I only purchase items that are the color of the week which means those items are 50% off. I find some really good stuff. Every now and then I will pay full Goodwill price such as the time I found a men’s Ralph Lauren NWT suit. It was a $400 suit that I paid $13. What a fantastic flip that was.

Thank you. I'm the one who can't find my inventory so I have to cancel sales. It's so annoying. I'm gonna do this. 😊
So when you pay the $20 to become a boutique, does posh still take their percent of your sales? Thanks!
Wrong! You can't use just any box from the post office. You cannot use flat rate boxes, you cannot use express mail boxes, you cannot use Regional box "A" or Regional box "B" boxes from the website and you can't use any flat rate envelopes.
Ok so which boxes can you use?
@@viviansmith8036 awesome thanks for responding
How do you determine your prices? I’m still not sure about the shipping is the cost determined by the box size?
Where’s your jean jacket from? 😍
BBBE31392 B it is Blank NYC!
You need to share makeup tips...your makeup is so pretty and flawless :)
You did a great job hitting all the pitfalls.. I'm still looking for several pieces of inventory I listed. Thanks for the help
I love that denim jacket what brand is it?😍
A super beginner's for Poshmark video would be awesome!!! I've been selling on eBay for a long time and would love to cross post my items on Poshmark and learn more about that platform.
Can you actually package an item from start to finish?
Where do you find our inventory?
Can you please make a video on pricing in details . thanks so much!
I am new to the Poshmark community and this video definitely has great tips!! Thanks so much for the info (:
Hi there! New subscriber! Thank you for the information. Sharing my inventory as we speak! Is there a way to share your closet all at once instead of one item at a time?
How do you sell thrifted clothing on poshmark and not have the clothing look old or very very worn?
Is it a good idea to sell from 3 different apps? Just wondering
How do you get a faster flip on your inventory
Great video and so many good tips. I would like to see a video on how you get your inventory. Love you style also 😍
THANK YOU for always sharing ideas.
I loved your video! I am just getting started so I would love a Poshmark 101 for dummies!!
How does return policy work for you on Postmark and how do you handle it?
I would love for you to make a video about the ins and out of online sales
what light kit do people use?
New to Poshmark...Finding this Nov. 2020...Here's the question...Every video about Poshmark states to "share your closet". But I don't know what this means and how to do it. What are the steps to sharing your closet please? Thank you.
Can you ship in polymailers on Poshmark like eBay? or everything goes in a priority box?
I’d like to hear more about where to source products to sell...is it just the good will you use?
I use all thrift stores. Goodwill is probably the worst as far as price unless you go to the bins. Value village/savers is great cause they offer coupons. Also garage sales are great.
Behavior d
I've been using postmark for a month but I haven't made any sales
This was the most helpful video.
Straight to the point.
I've learned so much from you, I'm going to go practice how to curtsy now; because if I ever meet you, that's what I'm going to do !! Queen!!!
Do you use your phone to film too? For you tube that is?
