Ridgid Octane Cordless Compact Router Review - R860443B

Having reviewed the Ridgid cordless trim router some time ago, we became intrigued when they released an updated model. The new Ridgid Octane Cordless Compact Router (R860443B) remains fully backward-compatible with all Ridgid 18V batteries. It does, however, offer some additional power when combined with new Ridgid Octane batteries.

PLEASE HELP! I have this router and the depth keeps drifting deeper as I'm routing. I can see the little wheel turning as I go and of course that is NOT GOOD for the job I'm doing! What the heck?!? Anybody had this issue? Suggestions?

The level you open when you adjust depth should have a screw, tighten just a bit so when you close the lever it will hold tighter

Any thoughts from RIGID for adding a Cordless String Trimmer with a "Combi Drive" to it's arsenal?
I "like" my WORX, but Id be MORE HAPPY with a RIGID system...
Especially since I currently own 4 4ah Batteries, along with their "FLASH CHARGER"!

Rigid doesn't seem to be getting into yard tools. However TTI is the company that makes Rigid, Ryobi, and Milwaukee. All good tools. You can purchase a rigid to ryobi battery conversion piece online and use your rigid batteries with Ryobi tools. Ryobi has a ton of lawn equipment
