@J B discovered them yrs ago on “pandora.” Fell in love with the sound and it lead me to other great guitar driven music from Mali; Ali Farka, his son, Boubacar troupe, Bombino Mostar etc. I think u feel me. I don’t know too many ppl that actually know about them.

Rogie and Amadou and Mariam, they are a bit light-hearted by comparison but fantastic in their own right! S.E. Rogies album "Dead men don't smoke marijuana" is excellent!!

I’m Ethiopian, my wife Eritrean, we love Tinarewin, been to their shows since 2011 when they stop in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, their music close to the Horn of Africa, they are coming to LA, in June 2023 we are happy to see them again. They earned Grammy few years ago in LA, they made Africa proud with their unique guitar and percussion beat.
