It's HILARIOUS that you guys panned the scene where he falls and fingertip arrests his fall in the ventilation shaft. This was actually done by a stuntman, he did accidentally fall and he did catch the next ledge with his fingertips. They originally thought it was a wasted take but it looked so good they kept it.
The stuntman absolutely did not catch the next ledge. That is impossible.
@@philipabelanet5476 Actually he did catch the next ledge and no its not impossible.
I'm not going to waste any more time on this. It is an unequivocal fact that the stuntman, or any human being, could not have done what you described. But if you people want to believe impossible things, you go right ahead. But if you want to convince people, cite your source.
@@philipabelanet5476 The Stunt man was Keii Johnston, go look up his career, he talks about his fall down the shaft.
You truly missed the story. The stuntman fell. True. He did not save himself by grabbing the ledge with his fingertips. Those are two different shots. His body bounces off off the side and he is pushed away. You’re adding to the story or believing a Hollywood lie. That’s the business they’re in.
Okay, I laughed my ass off watching this reaction. "It's a GLASS DOOR!" "This dickhead calls up the Batmobile and drives it all across town and then finds the only guard rail in a GLASS BUILDING". I can't stop laughing. Love it. Thanks for the reaction.
"Now I have a machine gun. Ho, ho, ho" is the best line from a Christmas movie ever.
I must say, I love all of yall. Being a disabled vet and having some shit days always gets exponentially better watching your videos! The hilarity that ensues is just amazing, lmao. Thanks for all of the hard work you all put in-your expertise as well.
Let them titties, titty. 💯
wow thanks bro! really appreciate the support!
@@FNGACADEMY I didn't even expect a response! Keep the positivity rolling my Army brothers!
8:11 You’re right, it is Die Hard 3 and it does have Samuel L. Jackson and gold.
My Mexican friend used to tell me that the only thing they got to unwrap for Christmas was tamales.
It's definitely an underrated Christmas movie - Die Hard 2 as well! I also forgot the first Lethal Weapon is a Christmas movie as well.
Dude how is it underrated?
Everybody knows it is one, and they like show it on TV every Christmas even here in Mordor where I live. I kid you not, this and the second one are regularly run on Christmas/new year's eve here.
Die Hard is to me as an adult what Home Alone was to me as a child.
The SWAT member who pricks his hand on the rose thorn is actually Richard Pryor. One of the best and most unexpected cameos in any movie.
Ha! Never noticed that in all the times watched.
The swat officer that cut his hand really cut his hand and they left it in to add humor
How did I know you were gunna do the best Christmas movie of all time today. Lmao good stuff boys
A man of culture I see 😂❤️
To this day there are disbelievers that blaspheme Die Hard is not a Christmas movie. What a sad existence.
@@rogerwood5228 may they change their ways, may they embrace the wonderful adventures, of jolly old yippie ki-yay
Merry Christmas to all my fellow FNG's. Im happy and proud to be a subscriber to this channel and i can assume everyone watching this channel is a cool individual so merry xmas to all of ya.
Merry xmas to you as well!
Merry Christmas fam!
I saw this when it was in its first run in theaters. At the time I had serious issues with "willing suspension of disbelief." My background was Marine Corps and military communications. I had limited experience with explosives and was the M60 gunner in my platoon. Urban combat was making a comeback in military training. It was almost as if the film makers had never worked in a tall building. The movie LAPD and FBI made the Keystone Kops look like skilled professionals. All of that real-world experience kept taking me out of the moment.
Especially the radio work. They ain't telephones--can't receive while transmitting, different frequencies, different frequency bands, different modulation--John McClain wouldn't have been able to talk to anybody. Plus--all that steel would have fouled up radio work among the "terrorists" when they became separated by several floors, depending on power output (four watts max) and frequencies. Then there's radio battery power--depending on which power pack is used, there'd be between 90 minutes and 12 hours of receive time, with transmit time reducing that considerably. Yes, some radio batteries are only good for a couple of hours because of either bad design or poor battery maintenance.
Tactics? I'd better not go there. Police and terrorists both had some serious shortcomings.
Alan it's hollywierd dramatizes the movies to get audience attention, also it was the 80's the decade that created the standard for action films.
Large buildings have repeaters that transmit radio signal throughout the structure. This building (the Fox building in Century City) is no different. As for tactics, Die Hard is a timeless classic. The people that put it into production received awards, career success, and lots of money. People who work tactics for the police department don't get anything except for a bi-weekly paycheck and maybe a pension if they stick it out for 22 years. Movies are for entertainment. Die Hard isn't a documentary or an instructional video on how to take over a tall building. Compare a film like Die Hard to a RUclipsr who does room-clearing videos. The latter needs Patreon to pay for groceries.
Sam Jackson was in the 3rd Die Hard movie. And the villain was the older brother of the villain from the first movie. Also it was Samuel Irons, so he's the voice of Scar from Lion King.
It's Jeremy Irons and he's an icon. Man in the Iron Mask, Hook, Kingdom of Heaven, and a lot of theatre performances.
This antique Marine would love to see you guys react to Bruce Willis's movie "Tears of the sun". Hope you and yours are having a wonderful Christmas
Here you go: ruclips.net/video/lgVFFT-ZF08/видео.html
They have already did that movie
they have, just thought id tell you
On the subject that the bad guys should have had smaller AT4 rockets, bear in mind that this was 1988. I think the AT4 system was only barely out of development at the time.
Good episode haha. The part that makes me cringe the most is the FBI hero thinking his gunship will save the hostages. It isn't a Merry Christmas until Hans Gruber falls off the Nakatomi Plaza
you two guys are great - Merry Christmas from Germany - and yes of course - its Die Hard 3 with Samuel....
First of all, as a German I can tell you (@ Buck) that your German accent was quite impressive. And yes, you are absolutely right. Being a Teenager in the 80's, the Century of true Tiddies, was just awesome. :-')
It'd also be a great Beers & Break Downs to havw you guys go over Kevin's defensive moves & tactics plus his offensive moves in Home Alone & Home Alone 2
Man I love this channel. Merry Christmas to you all!
Awesome and I love the Christmas action theme. Of this episode of beers and breakdowns.
Just discovered you guys today. Best and only Christmas present I got lol
FK yeah its the FNG Academy on Christmas Day!..Wishing you guys was about to show yourselves..This made my day from the UK..
Thanks for love guys and keep doing your thing. Oh just one question, have you guys reacted to the first 'Lethal Weapon' movie?. I reckon it would be FNG comical seeing your take on it, . Much love from England, UK
Samuel Jackson is in the third Die Hard movie, Die Hard With a Vengeance.
Which is the second best Die Hard movie on my opinion
@@rafaelalodio5116 *in
I've watched this movie a thousand times, it's one of my favorites. I have never thought about the glass door breach until now. A sledgehammer would've gotten them through in a second.
“Violent Night” is my new favorite Christmas movie, it’s basically Rambo, die hard, and home alone all mixed together. It’s awesome!
Merry Christmas FNG Team ❤
Merry Christmas!! Hope you and your families have a great day! Die Hard movies are absolutely classics! Should review/breakdown Jack Ryan season 3 now that it just released!
Easily one of the greatest action movies ever made and the best Christmas films of all time. Had no idea you would be reviewing this one? Lol
The BEST Christmas movie 😂 idc if it’s been memed to oblivion
The best Christmas movie ever! Thanks Gents! Merry Christmas to you & yours from me & mine!
Merry Christmas Jay!
@@AbelHernandezguitar Merry Christmas Abel!
Only Christmas movie that matters
I think this one is the most entertaining breakdown I’ve seen you guys do. I got my buddies hooked on watching these and we were all going on about this one all day. High praise fellas. 🤙🏼
I want these guys to react to Sabotage because I wanna hear Buck's opinion on the room clearings in that movie
Damn buck is in real mood today lolololol
Watched it last night (Christmas Eve)! Great Christmas Movie.
I too called a LAW an AT4 once.
That SWAT guy and the rose bush! 👉🤣
I remember riding my bike home from school in the fifth grade. I went through the woods behind the school and my left hand and handlebar went through some brush. I got home and saw blood running down my arm and dripping on my leg, looked at my hand and there was a huge ass thorn still stuck in it. FIFTH grade and I I never went "OW!" 🤣🤣🤣
Oh my God dude when you did that German accent I started crying so hard that is most hilarious thing I’ve heard in a long time
Watched this for my Christmas movie with my family and thought about how hilarious it would be if you all did a breakdown. Amazing Christmas gift when I saw this. New Segment Idea: Drunk Sean tries ____
19:05 On February 12, 1941, a 43-year old policeman, Albert Alexander, became the first recipient of the Oxford penicillin. He had scratched the side of his mouth while pruning roses, and had developed a life-threatening infection with huge abscesses affecting his eyes, face, and lungs. Dr Alexander Flemming noticed that the patient was getting better, but then they ran out of Penicillin and Alexander unfortunately died of sepsis.
So Flemming went to America and asked little known chemical company Pfizer to make as much penicillin as possible, just in time for WW2. The rest is history.
Merry Chrysler
BEST MOVIE EVER, THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS❤❤
At this point, I'm just here for the bantering. Love you guys, Merry Christmas ⛄🎄 🎅
Merry Christmas guys!
The exact term for a 'wife beater ' is an A frame or Tank. Wife beater came from people watching the show 'COPS' and in the beginning episodes it seemed like everyone who wore one was getting arrested for beating his wife!
Wife beater came from 1947 a Detroit man beat his wife and a picture was posted in the newspaper of him wearing the shirt
Merry Christmas Sean, Kurt, and Abel!
Merry Christmas 🙏
I've been saying this for the past 17 years, Die Hard is a X-mas movie !!!
Need to do a mini series reviewing all of Generation Kill. Would be great insight!
Don Johnson was first pick for John McClain BUT at the time Universal Studios wouldn't give him the usual summer time off to make any movies . MIAMI VICE was shooting more than 10 months a year .
3 minutes in and this is one of the best videos ive seen im mary poppins yall
My father figures was Carl Winslow the dad from different strokes, cliff huxtable (Cosby show), Mr mathews boy meets world and my favorite Red Foreman
25:22 AT-4 only started entering service in 1987. Just a year before Die Hard movie came out. Maybe the film makers didn't know about it existence at that time.
I always thought that the point of the SWAT sticking his hand with a thorn is a 'dig', saying that the SWAT team didn't know anything and was incompetent.
I always thought it was comic relief, as well as a way to make it more realistic. You don't think about little things like that happening In a movie but they sure do in real life.
The main theme of the movie individual vs the large organizations. John is the lone cowboy of westerns movies and the LA police, swat, FBI, and media are the incompetent organizations that get everything wrong.
@@petercofrancesco9812 ohhhhh.... Don't know what's more disparaging.... The fact You believe your comment means something.... Or the fact that you don't know RUclips has ghosted your comment.
Merrry Christmas and thank you for this. Yes Die hard is a christmas movie and a good one at that
Best episode ever, Merry Christmas y'all
My favorite Christmas family movie
The perfect Christmas movie
You guys made my day. Hope you had a Merry Christmas. 😄😅🤣
7:50 this was the most mildly sober thing ive seen in a while
i bet he is thinking of Pulp Fiction...where Bruce Willies and Samuel L. Jackson is also running around in a city.... :)
To be honest, if Samuel L Jackson WAS in Die Hard as the cop instead of the dad from Family Matters, probably would have been more of a classic.
hahahqahah the scene where hes flying around vents and shit was pretty funny
Thats Die hard 3 with Sam Jackson, definitely the best movie of the series besides the original.
Love the breakdown. Have you done a breakdown of Platoon? It was the first military movie I've ever seen, and still is my favorite to this day
I don't think it makes sense to criticize the room clearing technique in this movie. Nobody said (?) the bad guys are ex-special forces or something. They are just bad guys with guns and nice hair. They are not supposed to know. It makes sense to criticize 12 Strong for the lack of tactical precision, those guys should know. Not these ones in Die Hard.
Carl Winslow and Uncle Phil were two of the best TV dads hands down. Can't leave out Al Bundy though, that show was hilarious.
Yeah. People might remember, shooting out the lock was a marketing thing for Masterlock padlocks. You basically can't do it. Well, maybe you could if you had a high powered rifle and all the time in the world. But someone pulling out a 9mm with 400 foot pounds of muzzle energy... the magic 8-ball says signs point to no.
RUSS SAID THAT BAR LOL YOUR A LEGEND FOR THIS EPISODE 😂😂
You've got to do a react to " Violent Night"
Check out "The Unknown Soldier (2017)" it's an amazing Finnish war film based in the second world war. That also explores the homefront side of the war.
Glass doooooor! Love it. 😆 Next up: Amazon's "Jack Ryan"? Yes yes? 🙏
Hilarious! It is glass building with glass doors, breachers
yup
love all your videos guys , greetings from Egypt
Hello from Ontario Canada and yes the movie with Bruce Willis and Samuel Jackson you are thinking of is called Die hard with a vengeance it also stars Jeremy Irons .
I agree with you M Fer's all the time. Some of this stuff is FOS than a Christmas Goose.
Yes
I think this movie nailed their depiction of the FBI
Showing my age, saw this in San Diego the night it came out. Just finished boot camp. It is a Christmas movie no matter what people say.
1. Tinny Tim was crippled 😆
Alright; hear me out…
Everyone knows Carl Winslow; but many don’t know that after the events of Nakitomi he was assigned to desk duty do to the injuries sustained. Shortly there after during the Chicago attack I. Die Hard 2 it was apparent that the Germans found out his true identity in LA. So he leaves; changes him name and moves to Chicago with his wife and his yet unborn son (who is later Named Eddie). Meanwhile the same German terrorists who are hunting and sealing revenge on McClane and Powell are also targeting another LAPD duo who were investigating the nakitomi incident. Detectives Briggs and Murtaugh. Fearing for his family Murtaugh contacts the FBI: the same agents that dealt with Powell, and place him in witsec; where he’s moved to Chicago as well to become; now Carl Winslow’s (aka Al Powell) LT in the Chicago PD. Their checkered past and Murtaugh’s refusal to accept a new name; leads to a tumultuous relationship; which is spoken of in…. Family Matters.
They’re called frangible rounds 15:45
Die Hard With A Vengeance aka Die Hard 3, you're absolutely correct. I know multiple people have probably already commented this, but just wanted to confirm. Have a great a holiday weekend/New Year.
Congratulations, you’ve been chosen as a winner of my give-away,get in touch for package!
Have you guys done a beers and breakdown of Starship Troopers? That'd be cool lol
That's die hard 3 bro
Merry Christmas and Yippy Ki-Yay! 🎄🇺🇸🎁 80’s action movies are pure comedy.
I have an idea for next year. I know this is gonna sound like a bad idea, but I think you should do Home Alone. There are a lot of things that seem tactical. But it's your call.
Hesperia, Victorville, Phelan!!! The IE
Merry Christmas 👌
Die hard with a Vengeance is the one with the gold. That bad guy(jeremy irons) was Hans Gruber's(Snape) brother.
Bruce Willis he played the expendables 1and2 and gi Joe retaliation
I never really realized any of this until now. Lol
Samuel L. Jackson was in Die Hard 3 Die With a Vengeance (1995).
Die hard with a vengeance my guy. Buck need to brush up on that skeet skeet brother lol. Love ya Buck!
Die Hard 3 has Samuel Jackson- this is the second Die Hard
Samuel L Jackson is in
Die Hard 3 ..
Samuel L Jackson is in Die Hard, it's just the third one called Die Hard With A Vengence!
Anyone that wouldn't want Buck on the show can piss off. I watch anything that has Buck on it he always gets me to laugh and with my job that's hard to do. With Buck being ex PD he would understand what I'm saying. Some jobs don't have many good days but at least Buck can get me to laugh for a minute
