Thank you so much, Anthony! We do love D&I’s paint scheme. It’s very well designed. And they do a great job keeping their locomotives clean. We appreciate you watching and commenting.
Happy to hear that you enjoyed the video. Those older GPs were awesome. They held on for a long time. Thankfully, their replacements are pretty darn cool as well. As for the hot air balloons, they were definitely worth a shot, especially in that late evening light. Thanks for noticing those details in the video.
Such beautiful settings for these shots. I miss seeing solid consists of baby geeps on the north end, but the new EMD 645 based power sure looks good in that D&I paint! Very nice work, Chris!!!
Thank you so much! The D&I has a sharp paint scheme. It really stands out. No matter what era you look at on DAIR, they’ve always had an interesting fleet of locomotives. We appreciate you watching and commenting.
One time I saw a D&I locomotive on the mitchell sub at the Chancellor ethanol plant, To this day I still haven't found out why it was there, maybe dropped off by the local. very confusing event lol
Great to hear that they didn’t meet the torch after leaving DAIR! Those SD39s are very rare units, as you know. They’d be prime candidates for preservation.
The D&I is a neat operation. As for the track, much of it has been upgraded since our visits. They have made quite a bit of progress in recent years. Thanks for watching, Alex!
You’re correct on that, Brad. Quite a few of their original locomotives were former Milwaukee Road GP9s. Looking at their all-time roster, we also see former UP, BN, CNW, CRI&P, MP, SP, and CP units. Pretty neat.
I love the sound of a string of classic EMDs. It is like hearing an old song from high school.
Exactly how we think of it as well! Tough to beat that classic EMD sound…
I was thinking like a Patsy Cline song.
" Crazy, Im crazy bout
SD-40s.............
Excellent video, very nice.
Thank you for the kind words! We appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
Their colors remind me a bit of Milwaukee Roads🖤🧡(& a little like BNSFs lol..) & fantastic shot angles. Why…I love C-Vision🚂

I really like seeing these END workhorses at work in Siouxland! I have seen D&I units in person back in 2013!
Thanks for watching, MJ! Those sharp looking DAIR EMDs put on quite a show.
Snazzy emd power on a midwest short line. Brilliant!
Thank you, Arthur! We appreciate you watching.
Excellent video and South Dakota and Iowa is a great place to watch trains
Thank you very much! We agree wholeheartedly! Everyone at C. Vision loves spending time in that region.

Very interesting… Possibly leased to the ethanol plant as a switcher?
@@CVisionProductions1 As far as I remember, it was only there for 2-3 days.
Class, A railroad with no graffiti on its cars.
The D&I has a sharp paint scheme. The design and colors work very well. Thank you for the comment, Stephen.

@@CVisionProductions1 Yes sir

@@CVisionProductions1 Oh indeed
I have a idea for a Video
Fort Worth & Western RR Which Operates in Texas
That is an excellent idea! They are a neat railroad, for sure.
Love the D&I EMD'S Pulling loaded Rock Trains but the Track needs Fixing

I am actually working on make this roster in ho I love video pictures I love their units
Hopefully this video helps you with that project. Sounds like fun! They have a very interesting roster.
@@CVisionProductions1 yes this railroad I heard many different types units
Cant the D&I come up with their own paint scheme?
Really.
Similar to Union Pacific?
The D&I was born from the C.M.St.P.&P. hence the similar color scheme.
I always thought they had former Milwaukee Road power but it looks kind of like it could be U.P as well
