Those flashing rear end devices sense air pressure on the rear of the train, and can be used by the engineer to initiate an emergency brake application if needed. The information transmitted by this device is monitored through a communications box on the lead locomotive.

ILSX 1381 was experiencing mechanical problems. They were having difficulties keeping it running.
ILSX 1381 is currently sitting on a siding in Middle River waiting out it's fate.

@@CVisionProductions1due to impassable bridge couldn't secure funding to fix it and their big contract up there ADM closed it's ethanol facility
