I completely agree that this problem is out of control. Unfortunately, the government’s hands are tied. Laws prevent the deportation of individuals until their claims have been fully processed, and thanks to the Conservatives, there's now an enormous backlog of unprocessed cases. This is precisely why they’ve resorted to using hotels-legally, they have no other option until the claims are resolved. It's a really frustrating issue.

I live in Dover and hate how dilapidated it's become over the last 20 years. When I'm walking down the street I hear endless complaining and hardly any English. Along with being the focus point for immigration the overall feeling of the town is depressing; high street is dead and replaced with endless Turkish barbers (new one just opened), with some obviously shady shit going on, and some gambling joints to fit. Council doesn't care about Dover which is sad because it's such a historic town with a castle, WW2 tunnels and a napoleonic hill fort, and it honestly could be something so much better.
The town centre is real rough now, the retail park down near the seafront is okay. Obviously the white cliffs are nice but when you live here you only walk it once or twice a year. River is nice, same as hythe they’re still good places to live.

Again I am totally lost for words and so angry that this government is allowing and helping these people.....that local guy is doing a great job following the boats and the assistance given ..by us !!! I've lost my £300 winter fuel payment, but I'm tempted to go and buy a dingy and rock up on Dover beach...then get a nice warm hotel and 3 meals a day......no bills, no worries. ...............bastard government.

NO it is not the UKs responsibility, by helping them you are creating much longer term issues. It might be different if the UK was able to look after its own people, but these. Grants are taking priority over people born in this country. It must be stopped, if it isn’t already to late. It is not humane to allow a minority group to take advantage of the rest of the country while there are elderly, veterans and poor people who were born in the UK suffering. If the UK was a wealthy country where every citizen had a comfortable life it may be different, but it’s not. And the way the UK has fallen it is turning itself into a third world country.
I get zero help from the government and am unable to access any services my taxes are meant to be paying for. Can’t even use the main road near my house because it’s been flooded for 2 months, can’t get a gp appointment, can’t be seen by a doctor. It sucks.

That's nothing, what about the millions of 'legal' immigration that have come here, the ones who faked their visas with money, already starting on fraudulent terms to enter the UK like care worker and work permit visas? They come here to do 'care' work then do not even work in the care sector, they let their dependents work somewhere else instead. Effectively creating 2-3 more people who will be using the NHS instead of relieving it. On top of that they have no respect for our culture, throwing rubbish on the street, not speaking English, not assimilating, instead bringing their cultures here and want others to respect theirs... the list goes on.
Do you mean WW2 refugees? The United Nations 1951 convention on refugees was intended to prevent something like the ball we dropped by refusing to accept many because they weren't YET in serious trouble or because the state didn't know about it. That is why we cannot turn away flagrant abusers of that system, we have to essentially take their word for it.

Totally agree, Ive never seen the country in such a sorry state before. There are more and more areas that look like the Middle East and make you feel like a stranger in your own country. Its just too much for the UK to cope with.

Exactly why myself, and many British and even many legal migrants that worked in the UK for many years now are leaving. I mean I'm so angry. Our culture is down the drain. NO it is not the UKs responsibility, by helping them you are creating much longer term issues.
It might be different if the UK was able to look after its own people, but these. Grants are taking priority over people born in this country. It must be stopped, if it isn’t already to late. It is not humane to allow a minority group to take advantage of the rest of the country while there are elderly, veterans and poor people who were born in the UK suffering.
If the UK was a wealthy country where every citizen had a comfortable life it may be different, but it’s not. And the way the UK has fallen it is turning itself into a third world country.

I get zero help from the government and am unable to access any services my taxes are meant to be paying for. Can’t even use the main road near my house because it’s been flooded for 2 months, can’t get a gp appointment, can’t be seen by a doctor. It sucks.

That's nothing, what about the millions of 'legal' immigration that have come here, the ones who faked their visas with money, already starting on fraudulent terms to enter the UK like care worker and work permit visas? They come here to do 'care' work then do not even work in the care sector, they let their dependents work somewhere else instead. Effectively creating 2-3 more people who will be using the NHS instead of relieving it. On top of that they have no respect for our culture, throwing rubbish on the street, not speaking English, not assimilating, instead bringing their cultures here and want others to respect theirs... the list goes on.

Do you mean WW2 refugees? The United Nations 1951 convention on refugees was intended to prevent something like the ball we dropped by refusing to accept many because they weren't YET in serious trouble or because the state didn't know about it. That is why we cannot turn away flagrant abusers of that system, we have to essentially take their word for it.
