Okay, just got GFX 100 II, I am R5 user. Had a quick test in the store, and I will keep my R5 for wildlife. Eye focus in GFX 100 II is not so sticky as on R5 but it’s very good. I can tell GFX 100 II is much faster and snappier than 100s
Hey Marcus, great video Yannis saying hello again, my new trick with 100 S that I have is to use the Goddox continuous lighting 300 for a modelling lamp and in the darkest room where that was the only light that was I never missed a single shot, that’s on full power but of course you have to log around the big system of the 300 gods ox continuous video light, it can go off when the flash goes on, so it doesn’t give any contamination
I appreciate the video. I use a GFX 50SII, mostly for landscapes and cityscapes. If I start doing more portrait work, the GFX 100II might be a solution I will consider. I believe a GFX 100SII is going to be announced soon, and that would be a good step up from my current GFX camera.
Wow, this is a really good video. You did a great job showing the differences in bit rates. I finally did pick up a Fuji but not medium format. I went with the XH2 just to get my feet wet with the system. Now I'm looking at the GFX 100II, no thanks to you! Lol...keep up the great work man.
what are the file sizes options in RAW for the x100ii? Because I have the 50sii, and their size is probably my mac's limit that I would want my computer to handle...before it get's bogged down. Can you shoot 50MB files in Raw with the x100ii?
Wow, what a fantastic review! Made me laugh a couple of times too, when you described working with the 50S autofocus, lol! That's exactly me when I shoot dance on my 50R. My AF hit rate is maybe 50% at best, getting a shot in every 2 seconds? Kills the flow. I really want to use it more, but most of the time I have to grab my R5, just like you. But the files are just nowhere near as good. What a bummer: now I have to go figure out how to pay for a 100 Mk II. What do kidneys go for these days?
@@SNAPAVELI yeah I’m with you in the mind games. My friends on the x2d and im in the 100s. We both reluctantly have our a7rvs…just not an easy transition and having 2 main systems is just an unsettling feeling. But man….the gfx makes anything else look cheap and crusty….we don’t like compromising. I found using a camera stand in the studio and monopod outdoors really helps nail focus 90% of the time. Handheld the autofocus just doesn’t work well. I really felt what you meant when we have impatient models. Like it’s fine with new models but girls we’ve shot before, they’re like ‘what the hell dude hurry up’😂 Great work man. Awesome vids and photography though. Appreciate it

That’s incredible! Congratulations, I can’t wait to grab mine once I’m done with a few projects. Keeping my r5 as well for certain things
Whata the smallest raw file you can create in terms of MB? I assume 14 bit compressed?
Really appreciate the blackout testing, that was something I haven't seen elsewhere in reviews for this camera!
You are welcome! It’s much improved in faster burst rates

That’s pretty awesome! Thanks for sharing!

I’m definitely going to wait and see what the 100sii has to offer. Maybe it will have the same just in a smaller package
Thumbs up man really enjoyed this video. Thanks for taking the time to test this camera.
No problem! Thanks for watching
Marcus, I’ve wanting to try the 100S. For awhile… just to see for myself what the medium format is all about.
The 100s is really good! If you don’t need all the fps and video
Welcome back, Mark.
Thank you so much!

The xh2 is really awesome! lol you and me both! I’m currently saving for this one. I think it’s finally ready

I would tell you but I had to return the camera to Fuji. I know the raw files in full res are huge , 160 mb or more
Great vid! Are the raw files / colour that much better than the R5?
I’ll have that video next week! I’d tell you but I record them live so I give my honest reaction. Raw files will be included too
Thanks fella, look forward to it! @@SNAPAVELI
Yup. I'll use my GFX (50R) anytime I can get away with it because of this.
There's a 100s ii coming this spring... will be a cheaper, smaller version of this 100 ii
I keep hearing that! I might wait and see!
Great video snappervalli.
Thank you brother!!

Missed your videos buddy, hope you're doing well!
Thank you so much! Yes doing well just been really busy
If I bought a medium format camera it would have to be the Hasselblad X2D and the new 90 lens.
That’s a nice set up! Very expensive system though , lenses are very expensive
I got x1d cheap. But then bam yeah those Hasselblad lenses 3.5 k and above hot damn super expensive
360p gang! Gotta wait to watch 😆was wondering if you would get one!
I don’t think I can resist anymore!! Thank you brother!
Thanks for the review. Appreciate it. But now you make me having acute severe GAS 😁😁😁
lol yes I’m having it as well! I really need this upgrade
Af looks like a big improvement from my 100s. Ugh😂
I know…. The only bad thing with Fuji is, you never know when to buy in.
