I now hate Peugeot even more for not producing this car. They would have been a very different company now if they did, probably even more performance based than Renault. Gonna add this to my favourite cars list.
@@mihanivazn2373 Did you seriously listen and understood the video? This thing literally is a 24 hours LeMans prototype, which have been converted to a super car road legal version. 24 hours of LeMans is the most challenging race in the world, the most difficult, and this engine was built for it. I really want to see this car in either Gran Turismo or Forza now ;D... I do like how despite being a supercar it still has that typical Peugeot look like a 405 or 306... Really disappointed now that Peugeot never released this..
I'm saddened the Oxia never went into production exactly like what happened with the Prodrive P2 last decade. I think the Oxia could easily be one of the most iconic supercars of the 80's, 90's, or even one of the most iconic of all time, if only Peugeot had put this car into production.
@@stickerzazaofficial1154 Yeah true, literally this engine is capable of 900+ HP, it kinda reminds me the power of the first hypercars. Just add it a modern hybrid system, and this thing was already an hypercar, before the hypercar Era.
This video surprised me the most in the unsung hero list. I would never imagine that Peugeot made such a car. The 80s are my youth and I never heard of it. But then I didn't know anything about Pikes Peak. Only Le Mans and the original Paris Dakar where the car events to look for. I was so in love with the Lamborghini Countach and Diablo and when I see this car I wish I heard from this car before. But that's why unsung hero is for. A history lesson of cars 👍
Theirs also the quassar 1984 with 600hp from the 205t16 1.8 4cly and the proxima with 600hp from 1986 with similar engine to this. Moving forward theirs the onyx with 680hp using hybrid and 908 lmp1 v8 diesel and the 907 which had 2 x 3litre v6s effectively creating a v12 with 500hp na. So theirs a few.

Man this thing is so simple & aggressive looking. Peugeot has always been known to cut it's nose off in spite of its face. They have done it so many times. That's like GM bringing the Holden Commodore to the states & calling it the SS. Nevermind many in the states absolutely loved the Ute derivative of the Commodore, & it would have sold well.
