Hopefully they will hold up. I have sent my K16i and K318i for minor repairs, and I don’t exactly run them hard. I am a huge fan of the new S&B 6-36. FOV may be smaller but the glass is very clear.
I destroyed a Kahles with only 40 rds..got in touch with them, they gave me a "IF we deem it defective, we will fix it". Packed it up, called the store I bought it from, explained the issue (a bunch of crap inside the glass and didn't hold zero or dialed properly) and they let me exchange it for a Razor Gen 2 and have been satisfied with it. I use Tangent Thetas and ATACRs now which have not let me down. I wouldn't pay $500 for ANY Kahles and I gave them a piece of my mind at Shot Show a couple years ago. Funny how in person things are different. They wanted all my info and wanted to see if I would give them a second chance. I told them that I didn't have to, the first time told me all I needed to know about them as a company. I now recommend NF and Tangent. Yes, Tangent's are more expensive, but when you're jumping to this price range, what is $1500 more? It was worth it to me.
@@dreauxmire Garbage when I tried to use them a couple years ago and I still have the emails between us. At the time I had to send it to Austria as well..screw that. I had an issue with a Minox ZP5 and they responded quickly, no questions asked and sent a pre paid shipping label, took 3 months to get it back, but it was fixed. It was also my fault. Gorilla hands, if I can't break it, no one can. The Kahles was not my fault, it got eaten up by a Scar17 with a good mount. I used the Minox, Razor and NF on that same Scar17 and now on a Scar20 and no issues with those optics. Stay away from Kahles..might be good on the pretty, little PRS cartidges, but not on magnums or on heavy forward slamming bolts.
@area419 I have a few of your standard block mounts for my ZCOs. How much further forward should I expect to move the mount compared to a zco? Just planning ahead to see if I need new mounts
Should not be a lot different than the new 36mm tube options from ZCO. Probably needs to be pushed a bit further forward because of the longer ocular housing, but not dramatically. Maybe 1 more pic slot? 2 at most.
@@prone_wolf8871 Kahles has the best parallax system of any scope IMO, great FOV....it has it's up sides (decent glass, OK reticles...nothing spectacular) this scope should be about $1,200 less.

Don't care what's wrong with it or what's right with it. It costs too damn much!!!! I don't care how "impressed" you were with it. Stop trying to sucker people out of their hard earned dough and tricking them into thinking that they HAVE TO HAVE this overly expensive crap!!!
You realize that just because you saw it on the internet doesn't mean that you're required to actually purchase it, right? It won't be 419's fault when someone's not happy with their 4000 dollar glass.
Well at least this Kahles has a decent fov on the low end. The 3.5-18×50 Kahles has such a shit fov on the low end it might as well been a 5.5x. If the reticles work it looks pretty awesome actually
I too was wrong about Kahles optics. I thought that I could afford one, but I was mistaken.😅
Used one in the King of Coal Canyon PRS match. It’s a great optic

How was the customer service regarding the repairs?
Also wanting the 6x36 Schmidt as my next upgrade

@@piro2k Thanks for the info! Looks for something compact for my OBR and pull the Razor off. The K318 was on my list, not so much now.
How forgiving is the parallax on these for 22matches?
Looking at this and have a zco527 10 mil already

I want one! Can't justify the price , for my use 😅
Definitely it is worth trying
Still not worth MORE than a Zco. That's looney
If only the zco...could pass cdoes tracking test in his basement.......

Why should a scope that is overall better than a Zco cost less or the same as a Zco?
