There is a third-party firmware upgrade that allows Launchpad Pro to function as a 32 step sequencer, that works like the Circuit sequencer, but I've not been brave enough to flash my device with it. Obviously LP Pro also has a midi out, so it works with any hardware or software. ruclips.net/video/F1gPLTqKO34/видео.html
The LP X has nothing over the LP Pro. Likewise, the LP Mini MK3 has less functionality than the Mini MK2 (except RGB lights). Much better option to either buy the LP Pro or even the normal LP MK2 (not Mini) as that already has RGB lights and more functionality than the Mini MK3 but is about the same price.
Does the Mini MK3 have velocity and Pressure sensitivity on the pads? One retailer’s add says “Drums are also super easy to program in Drum mode, and to make it all as expressive as possible, Novation gave the Launchpad Mini mk3 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads that support polyphonic aftertouch. How cool is that?”
try shorter cable/ original cable, that woould be a quick solution if applicable. the best long term solution is the correct adapter/dongle which connects to your ipad and then has 2 ports, one for oyur device and one for the charging cable, this provides more power to your external device and charges your ipad at the same time. while third party ones might work, i recommend the original apple dongle for a hassle free experience.
I own a Launchpad but I was never able to make it work. There is always a problem with the USB connection under Win7. Either Windows won't identify the device at all, or if it does (once in a life time, after de- and reinstalling the novation drivers and rebooting) it works but then only for a couple of seconds. I remember the USB connection always being the problem, the slightest movement on the USB cable was enough to loose the connection. Totally worthless.
@@Dovitate I agree. I have 2 launchpad mk2s and 1 mk1 and the mk1 never once gave me a problem, but I had many issues with the mk2. Sometimes during a performance if it gets bumped, I'll look my connection and have a hiccup. Can be very frustrating at times.
@@swaroopa1965 I just don't like the size of the push... If you're just trying to do things where you are only playing one instrument at a time, it probably will be ok, but if you're trying to do multiple things or trying not to have to constant switch modes to do everything, it's not quite a good. Plus having to fly with those things is a bit of a pain in the ass. Just the Push + audio interface+ laptop will take up most of the room in the bag. This is fine for folks that are all in the box, but once you think about adding external devices like a synth, it's too big.
@@boothbuster I owned one of those for a while, nice controller, too big to carry on a flight with other gear in a backpack. Ended up selling it within 4 months.
I'm not an Ableton Live user... But if they did a standalone sequencer with that form factor and functionality... I would buy it in a heartbeat

This works with a Launchpad Mk1, Mk2 and has a version that works with the pro.
They must of listened to you because launchpad pro 3 has a sequencer built in now lol
I really like the design somehow. Looks so minimalist and sleek.
Where's the launchpad x pro???
Awesome demo! Looks great. WIDGETS!
Would be great if MK4 has the option to have text display on the keys if you want.
The slow transformation into a stream deck would be way too funny
Does the scale widget and faders work when controlling an external hardware synth? Or is this compatible only with a DAW?
Hi, is there a possibility that we can have the launchpad and launchkey ios apps back? They were amazing!
The keyboard reminds me of the piano mode in mat1jaczyyys custom launchpad pro firmware...🤔
can we get this keyboard type midi layout on the launchpad pro ?
i mean can we get the full control of the pro with components with a driver/hardware upgrade ?
Right?... That’d be dope.

does the mini mk3 not have a mixer control mode?
No sequencer? Very sad....

Hey Caz …I bought a launchpad mini mk3 to use with my iPad but it says it’s drawing too much power … Any idea on how to get it working ? Thank you

That's just a Launchpad MKII problem lol

You could also like... Not be on Win 7 in 2019/2020.
Just get a push 2
£400 more ?
Way more functional and it’s worth the money... If you are using Ableton, just get the push...

mubalicious consider NI Jam then, it’s an excellent Live controller also.
