Thanks for posting this. I replaced blend door actuator on 2010 Mazda 3. The whole key is the extension to get at that third screw. Don’t want to know how much a dealer would charge for this. This video saved me a lot of money.
I changed my cabin air filters last week and a couple of days later the blower started making some noise, on every speed. I think something got stuck in there just hope I don't have to take everything apart. Looks like one heck of a job!!! Thanks for the videos just in case I need them.
I would recommend taking the filter out and trying cleaning out the area with a vacuum or possible compressed air. Then put filters back in see of that helps if not it might be your blower motor gone bad. or possible some debris in the fan. I hope this helps
The third screw to get the actuator housing out is an absolute nightmare. The trick of using a socket extension was great. It would be great if you can share what kind of socket extension you used? I am looking online for a socket extension and screw driver attachment, can't seem to make any sense of what I need.
Thanks for watching yes the low lighting didn't help it's was one of my first videos i have made. I am glad you still liked it and that it helped you out.
You have the patience of a god. I tried this on my 2006 mazda 3, I could not believe how infuriating and convoluted they designed all these plastic pieces. I tried to do it from both sides but could not get my hand up there like that with the column in the way. When attempting to remove the whole dash, everything is interlocking and impossible to to take apart. Thats what happens when mazda teams up with ford I suppose. To save my sanity I stopped and put it back together and am going to pay someone $600 to replace a $35 part. Absolutely ridiculous!! This has made me decide to possibly sell my 3, such a garbage design and not user friendly. Its interesting that when they redesigned the second generation, they just kept it the same way, F. everyone who hates how this is placed in there. Shows they just don't care, and design obsolescence into your car at 100k to 150k miles.

I can not, for the life of me feel for and find the tab on the retaining ring. What is it's orientation? I've hear, about 2 O'clock, but I can't seem to find it. I've got a 2010 Mazda 3 with automatic climate control. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
I think the tab if I can remember correctly is at near the bottom I want to say 7 o clock if not check from 8 o'clock to 4. in that general button.area. I believe my memory could be wrong.
its been a long time ago since i have done these, it should tell you in the video. i believe for the blower motor itself its about 3 screws on the passenger side you have a couple over there as well. I hope this answers your question. That amount doesnt include screws for other things around the blower motor or panles that need to be removed.
@@9mmhobbes This was over 2 days I think maybe total 6 or 8 hours. But it was my first time I think if I did it again soon after this I could've cut it down to 3 to 4 hours. It does take awhile.
I just did one on a Mazda 3 2006 and the only thing I did was take out the glove box and remove the gas pedal don't need to remove the battery or the brake pedal any of that stuff at all don't have to remove the driver's seat or the council. hour and a half I had it done and this is the first one I've ever done no lying just the facts. It help's though by working in domestic and foreign salvage yard's. 😎 Just saying.
Thanks for watching my video. I removed the brake pedal for more room, which needed me to remove the battery and tray. I have heard some people able to just remove the glove box. I found i needed a bit more room. Although there is a tool that is supposed to help in removal i am thinking about making one just like it. i guess it mainly for manual transmission cars. Thanks for sharing your experience.
What step are you missing because I have removed the 3 screws on the assembly that covers the fan under the passenger side and it will not come out. It feels like something on the top side is stuck where there is no way to see or feel anything on the top side. It’s not coming out
There is one screw at the top it is very hard to see and kinda hard to get at. I am guessing that is the one you forget as i did the same at first. Sorry for the late response some reason i am not get notification of all my msgs. I hope this helps
Are talking about the resistor for the blower motor? If so check out my video on how to replace it this will show you where it is. I hope this helps cheers and Thanks for watching. ruclips.net/video/ZYjBwNn2RVM/видео.html
@@cohegaming8069 Yes, the blower motor is a complete pain! There is a better place to put that fan. My pathfinder although a much bigger vehicle is behind the glove box which makes it so easy to get too.
This has to be the dumbest design I've ever seen... the blower in my 2011 mazda 3 just went, so I either have to do all this shit myself or find someone who can do it...

Thanks for the video it was super helpful. I can't wait till Part 3 comes out!
Donna Owen - I am glad you found this helpful. Part 3 will come next Friday.

Your welcome, I am glad it helped with your project. Yes I would imagine it would be fairly costly at the dealer.
Thanks for watching
Alldata calls for 8.5 hrs of labor time
$1100 was the estimate I guy for my 2012 Mazda 3
Doing this now. Super helpful. Thanks so much man

You did great job 👏, and The title for this video should be “ Don’t buy Mazda” 😅

Miss the days of just having to drop the glove box and undo some bolts to replace blower motors…
