Welcome to TDL DIY
In my videos I will be showing lots of stuff from Vehicles to Vacuums. This is a DIY channel and as such I would like to show every day people how to do some repairs or maintenance to things they have around the house. Some tips and tricks I have found that work, and of course passed projects I have done. If there is anything you would like to see feel free to leave comments on my videos.

I try a different head light restoration kit this time I am using an 3M kit. Last time I used a Cerakote which was easy to use and looked really good but only lasted a year. Time will tell if this kit will last longer!

Installing Thinkware U1000 2 Ch 4k Dash Cam
Ok listen up l, changed the same exact switch on my 06 Honda civic sadan LX, when I pushed the new switch into place i heard a click click sound and to my shock i was unable to turn the key anymore, did some research and it turns out that the intermediate shaft inside the module moved forward or towards the key putting it out of position and therefore locking the key in place, i had to take the whole complete ignition module off the steering column and fiddle with it, I found that you can unlock the key again by depressing the steering lock blade ( that little sort of rectangular steel peace on top where the module contacts the steering column) and turning the key at the same time, then I figured out that if you turn the key to the on position and then install the switch or push the new switch into position the shaft can't move, but when the key was in the off position the shaft could move out of position, so i would advise you to leave the key turned to the on position and leave it there while installing a new switch, otherwise
Is it the same for the non skyactive ?

Hi. Great video. The DS front door handle on my 2012 Mazda3 is kaput. Can the door handle be removed & replaced without actually removing the whole panel?

Good God! I thought my blower might not be working as it should - I just bought a 2010 3. There is no way I will try to tackle this. As a matter of fact, I will go the winter without heat if it comes to that.
That's an awful lot of work for a blower motor. Mazda needs to give their head a shake. Thanks for your detailed videos.
This video was a great help. Thank you.

Why does everybody do it with the car door open. It blocks the sounds we’re checking for.
@@ivannparker4073 Sorry if it was hard to hear. I re-watched the video with headphones and it probably helps with being able to hear that buzzing noise i was mentioning in the video.
Seems the protectant is missing in this, big improvement when used.
Thanks for the video. Had the same issue with mine and this was easy to fix with your guidance. I did notice that the wiring clips on the switches have a little push button section of the tip of the shoe that make them much easier to remove without breaking the wiring.
@@jasonbirch123 Thats great to hear thank you for watching. I am glad you found it helpful! Thanks for the additional tip for others if the attempt to do the work themselves.
On CX3's it's not that the nuts are loose. It's that the rubber pads under the spoiler that contact the window are too thin, don't create enough tension between the spoiler and glass, and leave a space between them that cause the rattle when they contact each other. Mazda has issued a TSB (aka recall) on it and will fix it by installing new thicker rubber pads. My GF's CX3 has this issue, but when I tried removing the nuts, one can't be removed because the bolt/post just keeps spinning inside the interior of the spoiler as I'm trying to turn the bolt. static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10186912-9999.pdf

Bro this is the EXACT PROBLEM I had in my 06 civic and I paid the mechanic about $300 to put a new starter when in fact thanks to your video the ignition switch was the main problem now I have to go and pay for the ignition switch too😭🤦♂️
@@youngboyh3067 I am glad my video was able to help you out! To bad it was only after you had spent 300.00 to replace the starter. Luckily the ignition switch is much cheaper then a starter and it's something you can do yourself. Which should save you some money in labour. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
do you know if the 2013 Mazda 3 GS-Skyactiv brake pads and rotors are the same as the other trims of the same year/generation?
@@TDK2K I am not 100% sure. When I did the search from rockauto I put make, model, year, and engine size. I typically haven't had an issue yet. I hope this answers your question.

It does not come close to the 2010 Mazda Cx7 I own. Thank you.
You're just a jerk. You did not point out that the screw from the white plastic part is reverse, which if you work with a drill 100% you will cause a stripped screw. And you did that on purpose so that people would ask you questions. Watch out for karma.
Got my part just now gonna install the switch now good luck to me guys !
How did you find the process changing it out?
How do you borrow glue? When do you give it back?
Where did you get the mount for the gas can?
i am gonna try to replace that ingition switch some time this week that is what i am going through right now with my 2006 honda civic too it makes that darn buzzing sound too when i try to turn it and it won't turn on unless i give it 3-4 times really hard turn then it will finnally turn the engine on..i hate it so i hope this will work for me i'll keep ya updated if it works or not for me just order the part online will come this week ..prays it works.
Did this solve your issue? I hope it worked out, and I am curious of your experience replacing the switch.
Thanks!
Try applying a graphene ceramic coating after buffing. Then after it settles down, you can go to a detailing shop for a nano ceramic clear tint for an added life span.

Now 69.99 (Sep 23, 2024) at Princess Auto. Still worth it IMO. Yes, you can fight and struggle using a vice and tire spoons etc but this makes things a lot easier.

I'm pretty sure I have a leaf or something of the sort in the blower motor area, so I only need to take it apart to pull out the debris in there. What is the name of the long screwdriver bit you used to reach that screw so that I may look it up and buy myself?
I did this and now I am having "HEAVY" light flashing ....there was some water in the dishwasher not sure if its detecting leak...any suggestions how to fix it.
@@AjayGuPta-eq3gb I did a quick google search it says your dishwasher has too much water in it and is in flood mode. Possible solution (googled): When the dishwasher won't turn off, the leak sensor is usually the cause. If the sensor detects moisture, the sensor will try to perpetually drain the dishwasher which prevents it from turning off. You can fix this by selecting a different cycle, looking for error codes, or checking for leaks. They say the moister sensor is on the bottom of the dishwasher and it won't reset until it's dry. Which might involve remove the dishwasher manually drying the sensor with paper towels. If the error still occurs it might be due to a fault sensor. I would see if you can drain water out of the dishwasher if possible and proceed to drying out the sensor. I hope this helps.

@@OKnotOK09 Yes, it's fairly simple. That sounds like a possible reason for the window not work bolts could've gotten lose for the window regulator, or something else to do with the regulator. Curious to know what's is the cause. Good luck with repair.
