Looks like they improved the animations for this years edition and for people wanting PS4 footage now; if gameplay comes out now then you're just going to be more anxious for a game that comes out in 2 months.
Quick counts I've got mixed feelings about, but I'll give the benefit of doubt until I try it, if there is a concrete rhyme and reason to it, it will be great for those long summer games. Player lock sounds great.
It's not done yet. It's scheduled to come out in May. The PS3 version is coming out first because the graphics are a copy and paste with some new animations and gameplay elements. They maxed the game out in MLB13.
Game developers don't max out a consoles capabilities until late in its lifestyle because of sales purposes. They design games so each game that they release becomes better and better through out the years so people will buy them. If you max out the games right away, then the next year's game will just be the same unless new features are added. A lot of the sports games depend on graphic changes every year due to the gameplay being the same almost every year, maybe a few different features. That's really the only reason people buy sports games each year only because of graphic changes and sometimes it's not that big enough of a difference so a lot of people (including myself) do it every few years. For example, the last MLB game I bought was The Show 10 and before I got Madden 13, I only had Madden 09. BUT all these include other types of games as well.
I don't think I'd honestly ever use quick count. I mean the first pitch is when I usually guess location/pitch and if I don't get it I usually take the pitch. Sometimes with lesser players I take more and more pitches. Seems cool and I'll probably get some usage out of it. I like the new camera when you're hitting. I think they borrowed that from 2K, one of the few things they could've and it be successful.

Maybe i am old fashioned but im not feeling the quick counts setting. I actually like playing the whole game and seeing pitches so i can see how it looks coming out of their hand...like playing baseball for real. i won't be using this but it is pretty cool i guess if you wanna play fast games
Problem for me is the amount of time and effort I have invested in 13 , there would have to be some major upgrades in order for me to upgrade. Probably hold out for the PS4 version if not the 15 game. Not that I feel that this game won't be spectacular but 13 is damn near perfect already.
forget the dumb little features! we all play this game for Road to the show! we want to see more character options! choosing your characters play style, more face options, more hair styles, tattoo options, chewing tobacco options, the ability to shape your characters body (similar to MVP), how about more entertaining ways to train your player, batting cage sessions, 40 yard dashes, long tossing! HOW ABOUT more clubhouse connections. being able to walk around the clubhouse before a game, maybe the ability to make friends with team mates and shoot pool, raise the morale of the team to win. or go down to the feild and take bp whenever you want. this is what the game needs! its the net gen for christ sake

I was hoping for more meat for RTTS it becomes so repetitive. I would love an story aspect like we get in NBA 2k14 with a few voice actors maybe. I wouldn't have to be Last of Us quality story but just something to spice it up you know.

what i would really love is not being traded from the team i choose to be on in road to the show when im in the minors lol and can we please please change the mandatory 6 seasons i must go through on a team before i can test free agency...nothing is worse then being on a team you hate for what seems like forever lol

instead of trying to go into the majors on road to the show, ill create a player sign him on my favorite team play franchise mode and use player lock on him!! That Easy!

The PS4 version is being built completely from the ground-up. The scrapped all the PS3 animations and stadium builds and it's suppose to run at 1080p 60 fps. It's your choice but the PS4 version looks phenomenal.

Not necessarily, they did say theyd be interested in reviving it, but only if they have an A+ team to make it. So im guessing they want the best people possible. Either way Xbox players need a game that is just as good as the show. Im so desperate to play baseball im getting MLB 2k13 off amazon just so I can play something.

How can you feel right about playing with generated pitch counts? Terrible idea! If you want a quicker game,make a 6 inning game for those that don't have the time for 9 innings. What's next? Start the inning with one or two outs?
Is it true the MLB is going to be doing the virtual currency like NBA2k? I like the NBA game, but the virtual currency makes it so hard to level up my skills; unless I want to drop $50 more.

they're working on them. most of the games that are going to be created specifically for the ps4 will not be coming out until the end of the year if not early 2015.

There is going to be a new mode for RTTS. You start in a college or university for 1-4 years and make your way to the minor leagues then MLB.
