The gameplay in 13 was amazing. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they took out all the front office aspects in franchise mode! Other than that, this game was a must have for baseball fans!
Same here, the first ever show game i played was 08 at a friend of mines house and i fell in love. But i had to put up with the 2k game up until 2011 and said good bye then.
I remember when 'Show 12 came out people were whining everywhere how hard it was to hit the ball and score, even though the game had several tweak options that could make the game stupid easy.
As far as the most realistic sports simulation, the Show is second to none. But with that being said, I'd like to see some tweaks and additions to RTTS and Franchise
Hands down, the best looking sport game on ANY platform. Once again, Sony delivers photo realism beyond what we thought was gorgous starting off on PS3 with MLB09. Now 4 years later, it just keeps looking more and more like a real TV broadcast almost. Hope this has cross buy for the Vita. I couldn't imagine how choked EA would be if Sony got licensing for NFL, NHL, and PGA Golf with what they did with MLB. Shocking.
There is no pitch tip off in guess pitch anymore. You never know whats coming or have time to react unless you guess the correct pitch type AND the correct location.
I'm glad that I have PS3 for this game. I can't wait till MLB 13 The Show. I just wish that I had 3D tv so that I can see what it is like. The graphics look great.

And in real baseball, if you swing perfectly, then you hit the ball well with solid contact. If you swing poorly, you don't hit well with solid contact. How well you swing is human error. This human error is already applied in the hitting mechanics of the game by both the contact circle and your timing. My point is simply that placing the contact circle in the right spot and having perfect timing (ie swinging perfectly) should result in solid contact, not also be judged by some random dice roll.
So someone explain the guess pitch types and why I have to guess BOTH the pitch and location for it to turn red. You used to be able to guess just one and it'd still blink for you.
i heard show 10, 2011,2012 are all good games but i dont wanna spend extra bucks for updated roster as ive seen price tag from $8-$27 at game store should i get 10,11 or 12?
For me the hitting got a lot worse when they brought in the analog hitting. Sure you can still use the buttons but the game has been geared towards analog. All pitchers throw mid 90's all game with a 70+% strike to ball ratio, and it's impossible to hit the hit the high fastball even when you know it's coming. Really hope this game is more realistic and more friendly towards the old button hitting system.
I once saw a fan reach over the wall for the rolling foul ball then MY HAND TO GOD it happen later in the game and the dude fell over the wall !!!! and that was in MLB the show 11 .
Just got it today. The animation is buggy. If you edit someone who has a 1-handed follow through as default, and give them a 2-handed follow through, they still end up with a 1-handed follow through.
Great job! The only question I have is I don't understand how to "influence" a fly ball. I thought if I pressed R2 and up on the Right stick this would influence a fly ball. What am I missing? Thanks a lot.

Not nessicarily. Sure for me it was fun as hell to beat up on teams ou dislike. But i would also find myself getting bored out of my mind wanting a challenge. Wanting tie games in the bottom of the nineth pressure type momments. Its gets your blood flowing!
This Swing/Hitting programming has been in MLB 2K since like 2K9......at least SCEA smartened up. Can't wait for The Show, this is going to be my first year getting The Show. Buh-bye 2K.

on allstar mode, my player is hitting 5.67 and reached the major league in 2 months(june,17 2013) plus power is 95
