I was born in the 70s and obviously lived the 80s .and it was a great time..I cant express that time in this short format..it would take to much time... it was just plain awesome for rock and roll
So bizarre. I was in the kitchen giving my dogies fresh water. Filling up their bowls, organizing the dishes for washing. Then out of the blue, this song popped into my head. I haven't heard Reason To Live in years. I graduated from high school in 1987. It was an intense time for me. I was playing in rock bands too. In fact I'm now a professional musician. I typed in the title here in the youtube world to go down memory lane and found your video and clicked on it instead of the official video for the song. I got a little choked up when you two started talking about the way things were in the 80's. Sigh... It was amazing. It was so great to see someone reacting to this song for the first time. I've been a KISS fan for years. They're part of the reason I became a professional musician. I guess you could say, they helped give me a "Reason To Live." See how I did that? Thank you gals. This really made me smile. Mission accomplished.
You Wanted the BEST... You Got the BEST !!! KISS has so many great songs... A few love ballads like this one... some pop/disco songs... and a huge catalog of ASS KICKERS >:)>:)>:) ...Here are some REACT REQUESTS that cover all the above --> "Black Diamond" / "Beth" / "Detroit Rock City" / "Shout It Out Loud" / "Love Gun" / "Hard Luck Woman" / "I Was Made For Lovin' You" / "Sure Know Something" / "I Love It Loud" / "Lick It Up" / "Heaven's On Fire" / "Uh!, All Night" / "Forever" / "Turn On The Night" / "Psycho Circus" / "Modern Day Delilah"
I'm not sure if you were aware of this fact. In 1984 drummer Rick Allen of Deaf Leppard lost his left arm in an almost fatal car accident. The band refused to go on tour until he was able to join them telling Rick he is their brother and won't perform without him on drums. Rick Allen plays drums for them to this day.
6:03 all those movements and gestures that they make are attributed to the style of that time that was the "GlamRock" bone, aesthetics, glamor, they were very posh on the cameras, something that the fans of those times liked ... greetings from Chile
Oh my lord.. you two are funny... 🤣🤣 Please tell me.. what are those dance moves from 4:25 - 4:45.. and the dramatic facial expressions are as good as the serious guy (bassist) in the video..👍🤣
I would suggest you go back to when they were wearing their makeup (THAT IS REALLY WHO KISS IS! Which will include the original band as well) in the 70s and start off with THAT KISS! 1. Detroit Rock City 2. Shout it out loud 3. Deuce Another GREAT SONG would be... I Was Made For Loving You.👍✌️
IDK if had anything to do with the theme of the video, but Paul's first wife took him to the cleaners in the divorce. They never signed the pre-nuptial agreement.
Ok I think all rock bands of the 80s mtv generation, especially hair metal bands, were coached and choreographed by the same group or at least with the same key clothing styles, guitar moves, dance moves, stage moves, camera looks , concert moves , etc... I personally loved it all and it’s so obvious after 30-40 years of watching videos but I’m a hair metal die hard fan. And I love KISS, Paul Stanley was hotter than the sun in the 80s, no makeup!!
I’m a KISS fan, but I always liked this song because of the late drummer, Eric Carr. He was replacing part of the original lineup, and passed away in his early 30s, but he played and sang the hell out of this song. Even when it zooms in on him, he is going for broke.
These two have ZERO idea the influence KISS has had on pop music and pop culture in general. Arguably one of the greatest rock and roll bands ever. And certainly, one of, if not the most influential rock band ever. And yes, you girls have HAD to have heard at least a few of their songs somewhere along the way...
The reason you two feel as though youve heard this before but cant quite put your finger on it is because its a classic 80's power ballad that used this same basic formula that every 80s band used. The passive aggressive music, heavy guitars and keyboards with the big chorus that is so easy to sing along with. Just about any 80's power ballad can have that, "Ive heard this but I dont know where", feel to it.
The intense look on Genes face is because hes supposed to be "The Demon". At least he was when in full makeup and costume. Now that they are unmasked in this era he still has to put on the face of angry bass player, haha!!
Hey girls, You've definately heard "I was made for loving you" before, that's a timeless rock classic, and also Gene Simmons, the bass player HATES this song I suggest you to check Black Diamond, live 1975, it's the kind of song and performance that made them super famous Take care \m/
Excelent. Forever, Every time at look at you and i still love you(mtv umplugged) are much better balads of Kiss. Saludos desde Argentina! Aguante Soda Stereo, Los Redondos y Maradona🤘❤🇦🇷🤘🤘💪👍💪🤟🇦🇷❤
Totally NOT indicative of KISS's normal sound..... Gotta look at Detroit Rock City, I love it loud, Love gun, lick it up, heaven's on fire. Youllget a much cleaner look at what they are REALLY about.
That's back when Kiss started to suck, music was too light for them and the shakin the ass and running the fingers through their hair, Blah! Early Kiss when they wore the face paint the songs were much better.
I was born in the 70s and obviously lived the 80s .and it was a great time..I cant express that time in this short format..it would take to much time... it was just plain awesome for rock and roll
Paul Stanleys voice in his prime was epic. One of the best in rock history . Beautiful tone and almost limitless range.
Other epic Kiss ballads: Forever, Everytime I Look At You, I Still Love You, Beth, God Gave Rock N Roll To You II, Hide Your Heart
God Gave Rock N Roll and Hide Your Heart r not ballads
@@dustzza123 I'd def count them to power-ballads. At least God Gave, It's undoubtedly one!
Hard luck woman is a favorite

You guys should react to "Beth" by KISS.

IDK if had anything to do with the theme of the video, but Paul's first wife took him to the cleaners in the divorce. They never signed the pre-nuptial agreement.
In the 80s, Visuals matter a lot. Would u rather someone stand & sing, or thow some poses & dance while singing.
Gojira- Global Warming live. It won’t disappoint.

80s KISS was so cringe hahaha... definitely do a reaction to their masked 70s era. Loads of classic songs to choose from
Warriors of the world united - MANOWAR
Che voce stupenda aveva Paul
Still a great song.🎸
You need to check out earlier Kiss. This is not their best work. 80's was ok but 70's was the best.
Anything from the Double platinum Album.
Since you two gorgeous women speak French, you would appreciate Gojira. They are a French metal band. Global Warning live in studio.
Unholy is a great song

Two donut filled girls laughing at music art from 30 years ago. It's great cuz we're laughing at them right now.

Hola chicas devin townsend please. Kingdom
Why didn you listen the song? Only laughing??
XDXDXDXDXDXD
Such disrespect for one of the greatest bands of all time, making fun of someone!!! U should read about a band before watching any videos
Do YOU smoke something ?
Really annoying with the constant stops and laughter
What a waste of time
