- Today we went offshore fishing in Steinhatchee with no plan other than to catch fish. We loaded up the baitwell with Pinfish and headed offshore in search of whatever giants wanted to bite. We didn't know Kingfish were running this time of the year in Steinhatchee, otherwise we'd of spent a little bit more time searching for them, but we were rewarded with a lot of Gag Groupers and also a lot of Amberjacks, which always wear us out.

great day on the water, I'm still stuck in Alabama cleaning up the farm, Hope to be down first of June.
Man when you come down in June let's hook up for some grouper! I'm planning on taking some time off when Gag season opens and also when Red Snapper season starts!!!
@@NickeeGee you got it, looking forward to it
Headed there June 5 I'm ready
We have the week of June 7th off! We can't wait! If you see us don't be afraid to come say hey!
Heading there June 5 I'm ready
Hopefully the weather cooperates!
@@NickeeGee I hope so was in pcb in April it was cold
Looks like great time! About how far offshore do you need to go and depth? Were you fishing around any structure? Thanks for any help, heading there soon.
Thanks for commenting! It was about 50-60' feet deep, around 30 miles offshore. I believe this day was at buckeye reef which is actually a public reef you can look up!
@@NickeeGee thank you for the info, we don't get to fish much so want it to be productive..
@@jollyfolly3980 I highly suggest using chum, AND if you can find live pinfish, those are golden !!!
I caught one of those weird red fish at the cubes off horseshoe a few weeks ago. I wonder what they are. Never saw one before.
I caught three that day and have no clue what they are! If I find out what they are I'll let you know!!!
Wore me out!
You and me both!
Nice grouper right at the end!! Cant wait till june, how far out were you?
Me neither! June will be here soon enough! We were out at Buckeye(30 miles) while we were trolling! Actually had a few kings cut us off too!
What year is that boat? I’m look at getting one.
It's a 2020, been really good to us!
Nice work Nick! What lure were you trolling when you picked up that Grouper?
Thanks Gary!! We were using a Manns stretch 30, it's a deep diving plug that goes down about 30' and they were surprisingly well for group!!!
What reel are you using
I am using a Penn Slammer 3 6500.
Tell me ya need someone to go with ya in steinhatchee this week i could definitely pay my share?
Shoot brother I won't be fishing this week actually going out of town for a few days! Where ya headed from??
