Jess you really look at home with the animals, you will miss all these interactions.I can see Chris is going to be busy when you get back home building fences for all your new friends that you want.

Them Highland Coo's, stole the show once again. Your children will benefit all their lives with all their interactions with animals and nature in their early years.
Ray, I agree with you, dear friend! We have so many memories, and we're so thankful to be able to share with you all. We truly love and appreciate your support! Also, thank you for the generous, Super Thanks! 🤍 Jess & family x
Hiya Jess, Chris, Colette and Shane, thank you for another wonderful animal content adventure 😊. You braved storm Ashley which crossed the UK on Sunday so total respect and thanks for braving the conditions. The hands on grooming was a beautiful way to end this day out. 😊. Your videos are the highlights of my week. Have a lovely sunny Thursday my friends . xx❤ 🇬🇧🇺🇸☀️
Hiya Stephen, We're so tickled that you enjoyed the video. We all had such a wonderful day out. A little weather will not stop us from having a beautiful day. We all smiled the entire day and laughed so much. We all left talking about what animals we wanted to have on our farm. We all are great at daydreaming. Our family really appreciates that you spend your time with us! It's truly our pleasure. We hope you are having a lovely week so far, friend! 🤍 Jess & family x
That was a lovely day out with your wonderful family. I am wary of horned animals although I love them. I put my arm over the bar to stroke one, as you do, when it flicked its head bringing the horn down, trapping my arm. Fortunately, the horn didn't travel too far or it would have broken my arm. I love the way that they stick their tongues out. Jaywalking is a big thing in the US so do you still feel strange being able to cross the roads here where you want to? Seeing you crossing the streets in Stowmarket made me wonder.
It was a lovely day. Oh, I completely understand to always be aware. I'm glad it didn't hurt you. I just walk now because it's so common here, which helps me feel more natural. I truly love getting out, walking around, and exploring. Thanks for coming along with us. 🤍 Jess x
Oh,thank you. We definitely are trying to help them see the world with open eyes. To see the beauty and appreciation for everything in life. We are very blessed and honored to be their parents to teach them that life is an adventure, get out, and explore. Thank you for your love and support! 🤍 Jess x
I agree live it and love the staff. You can tell when the staff and animals are cared for and appreciated it shows. Thank you for your kindness! 🤍 Jess x
It's so nice to see that interaction with those fantastic animals, and just watching the video it is absolutely clear that the whole family loved the experience. I always find that the fleeting relationship between myself and animals is, for some inexplicable reason, so beautiful - can't think of another word - and relaxing. Lovely video. Cheers! Sheffield South Yorkshire .
Thank you. I agree animals are just so wonderful, and we love and appreciate them. I can't wait to have a farm of my own one day! To share it on this channel with you all. Oh, how that would be a dream come true! Thank you for the support 🤍 Jess x
Those highland cattle stole the blog. Simple memories sometimes stay in your heart. I'll bet long after You've returned home. Those cows will still bring a smile to your face 😊
Friend, I most definitely agree. I'm happy for them to steal the show! They're some of my favorite animals, and we do smile. We appreciate your kindness and comment. 🤍 Jess x
Hi family , Thanks for letting us tag along , the first time I saw a Highland cow was in the Isle of skye Scotland back in the 90s , I was so fascinated by them nearly missed my coach back to England, the other passengers were not amused but it was well worth it 😊❤.
As Christmas seems to be hurtling towards us.,I would thoroughly recommend a visit to London for the Xmas lights. Been to most f the major European cities at Xmas time but none compare to the winter wonderland that is London at Christmas. Great video again chaps, keep it up. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Thanks for the tips! We will definitely look into making that happen. We really appreciate your time and all the helpful tips you share with us, friend! 🤍 Jess x
Hi Folks! I see a few people have commented on the "Berries" They are most likely to be Sloes, the fairly sour fruit of the blackthorn tree, which are members of the plum family. The other possibility is that they were Damsons, another plum, usually a little larger than sloes, and excellent for making jams and pies. (they could even be a cross) Keep on enjoying the UK countryside for as long as you can. Bye!
You braved storm Ashley to see the gorgeous animals again! They were all just delightful. Thanks for including us(I don't think you can fit a highland coo in your car btw) ;p
Most definitely all to visit with some beautiful animals. I wouldn't miss seeing the Highland Coos! I wish I could take them with me.. I just have to settle for purchasing my own when we return to the US. Thank you for coming along with us on our fun adventure. 🤍 Jess x
Your "blueberries" are blackthorn fruit, or Sloes, blackthorn is a common hedgerow species. It's an edible but not very sweet plum relative, most known as a flavouring to gin to make sloe gin. The BBC food recepie site appears to have several interesting recepies and culinary uses for sloes (other sites exist!). By the way, Stowmarket was always referred to as "Stow" when I grew up 6 miles north of the town, 40+ years ago (I've since "emigrated" to NE Essex!). It isn't the same now as then, and seems poorer for it, but maybe the new housing will breathe fresh life.
I'm sure the blueberry's Chris saw were sloe berries from the hawthorn bush. Taste from the tree direct are very bitter, but make a delicious sloe gin. Put half a litre of gin into a litre bottle. Add 150g sugar, top up to the neck with washed sloe berries, pricked or slit, and soak for two to three months, giving a gentle shake every few days. Drink neat as shots. Some say wait till the first frost to pick, but I pop them in the freezer before making. 😛🍷🍷+🍷
p.s. after the berries have done their soaking, strain them off, mash them up, and mix with cream, butter and chocolate, roll into small balls and coat with more chocolate, to make sloe gin truffles.
Please come back and see us again soon. Try to see the Abbot's Bromley Horn Dance. The antlers they use have been carbon dated to more than a thousand years old.
We are so thankful we get to call this home for a while longer. I will look into checking that out. That sounds very intriguing! I have really enjoyed reading all your comments. Thank you for all them. 🤍 Jess x
We have Highland Cows round the corner in Nottinghamshire, just opposite the neighbouring village church, always enjoy walking past their field. Have been seriously considering setting up a small holding myself, focusing on a micro dairy side of things, but my health’s not so great these days so not sure if I’d be able to manage it too well. Another thoroughly enjoyable video as always.
Oh, I'm sure that's a wonderful treat to see on your walks. I would visit them daily. That would be such a lovely adventure. I'm sure you could find help to assist your operations to make your dream a real possibility. I love dreaming. Even if not all come true, maybe some are best to stay a dream. Thank you for your kindness! 🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBarndefinitely, I have been lucky to have always lived in the countryside - or with it right on the doorstep. Absolutely, I’m definitely a dreamer too and thankfully I’ve been able to make a few a reality and normally do when I want to do something enough - so hopefully will find a way to make it work or just adapt it 😊 Look forward to seeing more of your adventures on both sides of the Atlantic, although we’ll miss you here. Take care!
Highland cattle, as do most cattle scoop their food or eat grass by pulling it by the same method (with their tongue)can you imagine food being dropped down your throat without any control? I think we or our kids would probably choke. If you are not sure always ask. You can look at the method the farmer uses by looking to figure out is the feed in a trough on the ground or around chest/fence height in relation to the animal and not a human. Love you lots.xxx❤
Friend, we didn't put food down their throats. We drop the food on their tongue, like instructed by the farm. Also, I would never hurt an animal, nor would my family or this farm. I'm not sure if you have fed a cow by hand before this was how these cows were trained to expect food for their safety and the others. Appreciate your concern, but we would not have fed them if we felt it was in any way hurting the animal. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
