Using the red and green as a background really surprised me! Adding the top layers just made it so beautiful and soft and subtle. What fun to see the transformation of all these colors and waxes. GOOD JOB!!
Such a lovely piece of furniture, and so beautifully done. So interesting to see the pigment powder used with the wax like that - opens up a whole lot of possibilities for my meager stock of old furniture that I am continually working on. Thank you so much for sharing. Also, your tutorials are so relaxing to watch in these weird and crazy times.😊💕
Hey BJ 💜 Absolutely love this video, the project piece, and all the techniques you shared. Also enjoyed seeing how you can bring furniture on the train…never thought about that dynamic. Thank you for demonstrating the making powder, had no idea what is was or how to use it. And your use of waxes, clear, then white, then black…very informative and helpful. You are a fabulous artist and content creator. Can’t wait for the next video and project!
Thank you so much Shirlene. I appreciate your kind words. I’ve had to get creative with pick ups not having a car. And as for the making powders- this was my first time using them. I think I’ll be using them more for sure.
I always trust your process even when it makes no sense to me at first. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of yours. Your artistry blows me away.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one!! Have saved and will re-watch - sooo many wonderful tips to really push me out of my comfort zone and into my creative curiosity. Thank you so much!
IM SO SO HAPPY TO HEAR FROM YOU LADY!!!! YOU ARE A MOZART!! I GOT GOOSEBUMPS WHEN I SAW THE STAMP OVER THE NATURAL WOOD!!!! 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 !!!!! Ok...caps off now... I just love your creative mind!!! I wish we were friends...😊😊 I hope you are doing well...
I had no idea. Are you happy with this move? You seemed to have a fun time in Copenhagen? I love your style of painting and strange enough when my anxiety is out of control I watch your videos and it brings me back to almost normal SO CONTINUE painting because you are helping me big time. Hugs 🤗
Copenhagen was never a permanent move. My husband’s work assignment there was only for three years. I would love to have stayed longer but that wasn’t possible. I absolutely loved my time there despite the challenges. I’m so sorry you have challenges but I’m glad my videos provide you with some relief. My own anxiety often prevents me from making them.
Awesome finish. I know it’s just paint BUT whenever I try it I fail miserably 😢. Love your piece to no end. I want it lol 😂 it’s totally me. Thanks for the video 👍🤗🥰👏🏼♥️♥️♥️
There’s no such thing as failing miserably! Every failure is a learning experience. Knowing what NOT to do is as important as knowing what to do. I’ve been painting furniture for about 25 years, the past 12 years as a business… trust me…I’ve had a lot of “failures”.
I agree I’m just not sure what to do, I guess. I painted an armoire which I wanted like an off white with other colours peaking through. It’s now navy blue the opposite of what I wanted. Thanks 🙏 for your advice it’s appreciated 👍😘👏🏼♥️
Really beautiful what you create. I enjoy watching . I have to turn off the volume as I find the music much too loud and irritating. You do not need it ☺️

It kinda surprised me too. I had moments of doubt for sure. Thanks for your support.

I love how your layered finishes look in the end product, and you make it look so easy 🥰
Thank you. It’s not hard. I’ve just had a lot of practice.

Wow. Thanks. Full disclosure- it doesn’t make sense to me a lot either. It’s why I silent repeat “trust yourself” while I’m working.

Girl, you never stop amazing me with your color choices! You are my #1 person to go to when I'm stumped for color ideas! She is gorgeous! 💜💜💜👀🙂👏

I didn’t keep it. I sold it. There was only so much I could bring back from Copenhagen. And I did bring back several pieces of furniture for our home.
Oh wow! Are you back in the States? I had no idea 🤷♀️
Yes. We moved back to the US in the summer of 2022
