    Not 1985...Baker left the Blue Grass Boys 10/12/1984. His onstage reunion with Monroe was in 1994 at Bean Blossom. 🎻

    Do you know what tuning and what capo position the banjo player uses for this tune on the Kenny Baker Plays Bill Monroe album?

      Yes, I’ve actually spent a good deal of time working on this. Noam Pikelny plays JR in standard G with no capo. Do you need help with it?

      On the recording mentioned above, I believe Bob Black capoed at the 2nd and tuned down the 2nd string a half step to make it an open A minor tuning.
