I got to meet Michael at a concert once... he was backstage, trading knives, as he is a collector. I forget which band he was playing with... that was about 30 yrs. ago. I think he was all of about.. 8 at the time.
While Michael is always absolutely always amazing, the mandolin player was also awesome and deserves a lot of props. An album of these two guys together would be a must-buy from me...

I'm more familiar with guitar, but he tops any guitar player I have ever heard in terms of lick tastiness, phrasing, aggression and raw speed. I'm a huge fan of SRV and Dimebag, 2 very different players that I love for different reasons, he combines what I love about both of them but plays fiddle.
