Back in the 80's a friend of my mom faced the same fate. Her coat got caught in the doors and the driver pulled off. Ppl on the bus were screaming. For the driver to stop. He eventually did but she died. Her children sued the bus company. They won tons of money. I was very young back then. But I remember how much that tragedy affected me. Rip "Miss Boobie" 💔

They blame the passenger for it some claim they have to deal with it everyday which I can understand and witness bullshit but Damm they don't greet you as you enter the bus recently I was on njt bus 25 and a guy waking so slow across the street in front of the bus and I made a comment the driver thought I was talking him and yelled out if you don't like my driving report it I'm sick of Damm job

Some of them bus driver has no option but to be mean to keep control, it's not a easy job dealing with the public because I deal with them everyday at work and the customer is not always right.
@@thehuntx I drove buses for 9 years. And I have to disagree. I never had any problem. I also noticed from my experience that in most situations the bus driver sets the tone for their bus. If the bus driver gives off a ride and unfriendly energy the people react to it.

Bus and train conductors do this all the time. Slamming doors shut on you with half your body being stuck in between the doors. This is sad my prayers are with this family.
It's like they enjoy doing it too! It happened to me before in Dwntwn L.A. They also love driving off while ppl chase after the bus. Tht could be the last bus of the night and they don't care if they leave ppl stranded, far away. Smh. I refuse to chase after a bus 'though.
I'd rather wait for the next and keep my dignity, but if it's the last one and I can't afford a Lyft or my phone's dead to book a ride, I would have to run after them. Lol.

@@mayaroberts4275 That's bullshit. I live in Philly and if it's busy enough, for example Monday mornings SEPTA allows passengers to board through both doors. Even if he entered through the back door, mass transit operators have a higher obligation to the passengers safety. The fact she tried to run back to Trinidad is a pretty strong indicator that she knew she was neglectful. You're right she doesn't have a lawsuit, she has a hefty settlement.

Even if he went through the back door, when the other passengers were screaming for her to stop, that's where her problem lies. When I lived in Buffalo, NY the bus drivers used to pull off so fast forcing passengers to jog in order not to fall and the elderly used to tumble and all the passengers would have to reach out to help and everyone would be yelling "hey" but the driver would ignore them and take the corners fast almost tilting the bus over. It was crazy

I still thank and praise God for the car because the car was able to get me to work , and I never slept on a bench or street, and it took a while , but now with not making much money- I live in a brand new apartment just built - that cost more than the house I lost. So - although I’m no longer in that big expensive condo - I lost because my parents names were on it and she got mad and wouldn’t help me when I needed help with the mortgage- now my rent costing more - but without her!! God has had his hand in it and it’s by his grace. Proof that when people turn their back on you, God won’t and he will make ways even when you don’t qualify kc ronn- my rent is 1245.00$ a month for a 1 bedroom apt, prior to me moving last month it was 990.00$ this doesn’t include utilities , food , gas, car payment, etc! I was making 13.50 an hour and now up to 16.13$- I still don’t qualify to have lived in either place but God has made a way. When the rent went up I got a 2.00$ raise out of nowhere that next week or so. Bonuses on job. Enough to where at one point I worked 2 jobs and was able to pay a few months ahead. God willing this week I will be doing the same- paying the 1171.00- (that should be 1245.00 but I get discount due to two things, ) 2 months in advance. I work 4 10s but I go in on my off day for ot every week and still have weekends off. So my point being - God will pay your bills , please look to him because that’s the worst feeling- to feel like you can’t pay your rent
That’s a real class act right there, leaving the scene of an accident and most importantly, the injured man on the road who you just dragged with the bus because of your negligent driving. Apparently that wasn’t enough since she tried to up the ante by attempting to flee the jurisdiction before she could be arrested. As a side note, had she been successful and gotten away, authorities would only have needed a photo showing her elf ears.

Wow, in some other localities, especially Milwaukee, bus drivers have been lauded for stopping to help children who they saw wandering in the street. Thank goodness there are good bus drivers out there too!

Some drivers get joy out of seeing a passenger running after the bus. Because they have the power to let you on or leave you in the dust. One time two years ago a nj transit bus driver in road rage ran me off the road and kept going. I tried making a complaint but it was like rocket science getting to the source of authority. So I gave up.

As bus drivers we develop it because we HAVE to. While you may be nice, not everyone else is. So its more of a defense mechanism for us as drivers to literally just drive the bus and go home.
