I know I've posted it before, but you give the best instruction on youtube! I'm a 55 year old man, and whenever I stray away from your channel and follow someone else's instruction, weird shit happens ( like sore wrists!). You are an excellent coach. I wish I lived in the area, I'd definitely join your club.
Thanks I got some great key tips here + I didn't know about knees straight after clean before jerk as a contest requirement. Health, Happiness & Success to you always!
I love watching your videos as much for the kettlebells as for a great role model. I live in Japan and believe me, it's hard finding such. Question...how many kg was this kettlebell? And more importantly, how much does it hurt when you rack the bell in the crook of your arm. I'm trying to do things right but it still hurts. I take it I just need to put more muscle on, no? Thanks. --- Barbara
Hi Barbara, thanks for watching! The kettlebell I'm using here weighs 12kg. There should be no pain in the rack position, although your forearm may be tender from the weight of the bell initially. You can use a wristguard to help. Once your technique is up to par, there should be no slamming of the bell onto the forearm when you come into the rack position.
Hello Britt, what do you do to drop kettlebell down from the rack position to swing? That first thing to get it into the move... Thank you for your help :)
Hi Alina, I use a little "bump" of my hips to knock the bell off the rack and into the backswing. You can see it more clearly here: ruclips.net/video/bOVdy2lIbGQ/видео.html
The best LC instruction I have seen, thank you!
Great to hear that :) You're welcome!
