This is a 15 mm representation of the army that would have fought during the first and second Punic wars And fight against and with Rome all the way until the first century A.D. these figures are from the company forged in battle. Used for Wargaming purposes and battle re-creations.

Iberians are my favorites, and this army looks absolutely splendid! Congratulations!
Have you tried it out in battle yet? If so, did you do a video(s) on it?
Thanks so much for this inspiring video. I really love these guys!

@@dartmart9263 hi thank you for the nice message. I believe I did a battle report using Hannibal as an ancient rule set and used some of these figures. It was Carthage against Rome with Iberian and Numidian allies. In my playlist you can find it under battle reports.

Thanks Phil. I have so many more armies to do. Oh well three per month is good I think. Not trying to be popular or win a beauty contest.
Next army might be some 7 years war

Thank you. But I’ve decided I’m not quite done yet. It seems like I could do a little bit better on the shields. So I’m probably going to put them under the microscope again. But thank you for your comments and support.

Another great showcase video Kevin. I would be interested to see you creating a typical stand of these rather closely packed infantry (and cavalry), as to how you manage to pack them in and then apply foliage and flock, etc. I know how fiddly that can be, but you do seem to get some great results. Very nice army, and my 28mm Victrix Iberians are always a joy to paint.

Hi David, you are right it can be a bit tricky, but that’s why I mound everything on 80 mm frontage and 40 mm depth and on 15 mm. This is plenty of room in the front in the back to make a little dioramas. You have plenty of room to put grass, bushes, and tufts. I try not to over apply to terrain but to keep it balanced.. But thank you very much for watching my video and if you like, I can create a small video on how I create my units.

@@thekrausecollection15mmmin53 I think it's a very good idea. Kevin, you should listen @davidballantyne7431 and record a video showing how you make these big armies!

with high quality cavalry, excellent peltasts and renowned slingers they certainly made a name for themselves.

Iberia doesn't only refer to Spain, it refers to the entire peninsula where Portugal is a separate country, so is Andorra, and Gibraltar, Catalonia, Basque and Galicia might want a word on referring to everything as just Spain...

You’re right it was a very big territory with lots of different peoples and cultures. I think I just use the word Spain today because it kind of puts it into perspective for people who don’t have a grasp of history. But you’re right it also includes the entire peninsula and more even the Balearic islands. But I really enjoyed reading the history. I travel to Spain and Portugal a lot and I’m always amazed at the richness of its people. I think if I lived back in the Roman days I would’ve moved to Iberia 😂
