  • I would like to see several aspects of the national history, federal constitution and the Rukunegara become a rebuilding force and not a destructive one. In the national history, it is important to inculcate the idea that all of us fought and built this country together and that the past kingdoms of Sri Vijaya, Langkasuka, Chi Tiu and many many more were the original foundation and not just the Islamic Malay tradition. For the Federal Constitution, it is important to understand that the measure of the dignity of each citizen is painstakingly designed and not just to show preference to one particular race in perpetuity. For the Rukunegara, it should be highlighted that the preamble gives the idea of a liberal, progressive and democratic society rather than the five authoritarian principles professed in the outcome. Finally there should be a 50%-50% participants on Bumiputera and Non-Bumiputera on the candidates and the facilitator sides.

Hello Prof Tajuddin, the Madani Module Training is good. May I ask Prof Tajuddin about what the govt provide for retirees aged 60 & above who are still able to work but there are no options provided by the govt for senior citizens who are still healthy to work. In Singapore, the govt has work that are suitable for senior citizens. I hope Prof Tajuddin will come up with a module which the govt can work on & implement work so that senior citizens can apply to work & contribute to society. With your vast experience & knowledge please think of something that can help senior citizens come back to the workforce . As the life span of senior citizens are prolonged, the govt should start to think of providing jobs for senior citizen who think they can still work & contribute to society instead of staying home & retired at age 60. I hope Prof Tajuddin will start to work on this as a project for the senior citizens.

Thank you Prof for yr insights. I am sorry to say from what i observe it serves to divide us further. The actions and thoughts of inclusion at this moment in time is based on individuals not collectively as a nation. From my observation, we are so divided that the sentiment of race occurs strongly in every aspect of our daily lives, from the micro to the macro. This is my opinion.

  • @rajasingammuthusamy959

My observation on the Madani Training Module must be based on mutual mandatory Malay bumi policy and non-Malay policy. An example of employment must be based on racial ratio based on the local residence so, Kelantan can have 99% bumis whilst Sarawak has only Sarawakians and Perak has 40% non-bumi. Another example would be for PDRM and other federal government agencies can have a racial mixture based on 60% bumis & 40% non-Malays. This concept can undo the existing monopoly system eradicate abuse of power and eradicate corruption and poverty amongst fellow Malaysians.

Apology for my naivety, the belief that innately people are good, and behave and act based on moral values. The pursue of noble values and to act benevolently and sacrificially is the core reason people adhere to religion and people-centred philosophy. Malaysia should not allow the nobility and virtuosity of religion be hijacked for suppression and oppression of people, or worst, for more heinous and cruel act of killing. We all should act magnanimously to break the vicious cycle of hatred and revenge. HIDUP MALAYSIA! MALAYSIA PENJANA DUNIA AMAN!

As usual a pleasure to hear your talk.
However, two issues might be clarified.
Let us say that everyone of us likes to eat fish. But you like the fish with bones whilst i like filet. Now should the society decide how my family eats fish? Of course not, nothing gets better with such a system. My food intake is entirely private. Would it likewise not be preferable to leave all other beliefs, unlesss harmful for society , outside the jurisdiction of society?
Society's role should ensure the framework but leave the picture to individuals with maximal possible freedom. History shows that this system has been most successful.
Secondly i understood, perhaps wrongly, that appointments in edjucation should be filled on a 50/50 basis. I would have thought that the most suitable person should always be filling a vacancy for a successful society. Anything else is detrimental to a society in a competitive world.
You would not pick a spare part for your mercedes based on where it's made but rather the "best".

The gov should pause the rollout and seek out a non partial organization to offer critics on the contents. The content of Madani should offer a fair and concise for all without putting more weight on one race or ethinic group....malaysia is like kuih lapis, colors, temperature, density, flavors etc. Everyone contributed since thousands years ago, echoing what the Prof chimed here like the contribution of Hindu Kingdoms, 1st religion of then old Malaya, after that acceptance to Arab and Indian Muslim traders lead conversion of rulers. It was similar wave happened to entire southeast kingdoms Indonesia is one good example.
Just like the mindset is quite different betwen east and west penisula, even looking at Borneo we can admit uniqueness between penisula vs borneo bumis/religion/openminded attitudes.
If the narrative to pick a period in history to elevate a group's contribution to the making of malaysia., then the idea is flawed and tax $$ wasted.

Malaysia politics is juggling between communism and socialism in the context of 3R. Government is simply to big with policies affecting people's daily lives. You can't use kampong community ways of life (communism) to manage a nation of different races. Developed countries can afford to implement socialism but not those that practice social engineering or nicely put, wealth redistribution that is basically C&S policies. Just look at China under Mao. Under such system you control and distort market price using subsidies instead of free market system as practised by capitalism.

Learn how Indonesia Indonesian are running the government, there are Muslim, Christian and others are running to performances their whole human relations among the thousand ethnicities... Trust they will be better off than us if we are still running based of ethnic and religion... So sad our once a great happy nation will be taken over by our neighbours...
