Those acoustic panels behind your towers, do they work? Looking for something for my towers, and if they do, where can I find them at, thanks. Nice setup also
I don't believe I can tell much of a difference. If I had to do it over again, instead of defuser panels I would would go with sound absorption panels. But I will say the bass response seems a little better and cleaner since I put the diffusion panels up, but again not a big difference
I got polk es55 towers and es10 satellite. I love them. Would have went for es60 but doesn't ship to my area. Regardless i am very happy regarding music and movies. Paired with Yamaha vx 673 because upconversion of analog video and Klipsch r52c center because the deal was 100 new due to the new model coming out.
Sorry for the late reply but my surrounds were mounted close to the ceiling and I noticed most professional installs had them 4-5 feet high, so I moved mine to 5 feet and did notice an overall improvement. Ideally, you want all your speakers to be close to ear level but I do prefer my surrounds speakers a bit higher.
@@NaveedKhan-bs1scwhat are you trying to accomplish ? R900 is technically a height module speaker for people who cannot install in ceilings atmos speakers. Its not equivalent but it’s available for that purpose.
Nice setup. I'm curious, I have a similar size room, does the R400 still sound good to someone sitting off-axis kind of toward the side of the couch? Like how far off-axis could you go without the soundstage falling apart in a 12' room?
It's funny you ask that. I was really wanting to like the r400, but to your point the off axis response on that speaker was horrible so I went from a 2 way to a 3 way center channel and that fixed the problem.I need to post a new video because I made a few changes.
@petekutheis3822 My new center channel is a wharfadale 4.c it's in the Evo line and I love it. it is a little more expensive but money well spent. and the speakers huge which I like.
You can technically run those speakers with a 105 W but if this is a receiver they usually underrate them. So just know that you won't get the full performance of the speakers until you get a dedicated amp to power them.
@induction7895 I have replaced the R400 which of course is a 2 way speaker, to a three-way speaker. The on axis of the speaker sounded great but off axis was terrible. So again, going to a three-way design helped tremendously.
The receiver is a Yamaha RXA 2080.It's a couple years old now but it does a good job.But I have a Sherbourn amplifier that I use on my 3 front channels and 2 surrounds and the receiver handles the rest.
That is a good question. The R700s hundreds were too much for my room. I couldn't get the base under control. I've actually sent those back to clutchfield and replaced them with something else. I need to post a video soon. But if you have a small room, I would definitely recommend the R600s which suit a smaller room. I would save the R700s for a larger space.
@hulk,,,- i agree . i have the L600 in a space similar to the room in the video . i went for the overwhelm the room theory 😂when room conditioning is not practical and the results are spectacular . I'm using a Marantz model 30 which puts out 200 w at 4 ohms . This allows me to play at low volumes but still bet a big full and deep sound without remodeling my house . And , i don't play the " it could be better " game . thats a sure fire way of ruining the joy of listening to music .

I love these speakers in my bedroom. R700 rock. No need for a subwoofer or surround
Nice set up love the Yamaha av receiver.

Love your setup. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
ugh, i love those speakers
Great setup.
Thank you!
i have the Polk XT60s and XT20s + XT12 woofer for my home theater, but i would really love to own the R700s
Great system! How did you decide on the mounting height of the wall speakers? Is that a recommended height? Thanks!

Are the height of the tweeters on the r700 a tad high from the listening position?
@@JasonVandenDriesen You are right.I've actually changed a lot of my setup and I'll be posting a video soon
great narrative🎉❤
Nice setup!
@@ryangonyer9498 thank you!
Beautiful setup
How are you liking the r900 for side surround? Are they powerful enough with that 3/4 tweeter and 4inch driver. ?
I keep them crossed over at 80hz and no problems at all.
I can only set the r900s on top of the r700 towers. Would this be a waste.

am i right, did you have Focals first ? if so how did they compare ?
Sorry, never had Focals
Do you think I can get by 105 watts x2 for the Polk r700 and later add a power amp.

I have q for u....R700 its not to big for thats small room?!... I need to know because... i will buy polks r600 vs r700.. thx
no such concept!! you buy the biggest the most the best you can afford!!-- room size matters none!!
