As a german I appreciate the good work you put into the translation, plain translation is "easy", but keeping it poetic and even make it rhyme when at the same time keeping it close to the original in words and meaning.. that's some true talent to have and work to do. I am impressed. This is completely underrated.

This song cuts me to the core. I’ve shed many of tears. Hearing this song made me want to get a guitar and sing this to my wife. There has been much trauma, depression that had been a burden. My wife of 30 years has loved me with mine, body and soul, yet the reflection of her looking at me I see sorrow and pain, that perhaps she would be better off and happier without me. Your singing no doubt is angelic. I thank you and Rammstein for the power of lyrical meaning. Words are everything! More importantly songs sing with pure intent can change an inner soul.

I love ohne dich, probably one of my favorite rammstein songs, along with sonne and puppe. Who would have thought that the lyrics would be so beautiful, didn’t think till had a soft side! I like it. Trying to learn German just cause of rammstein but it’s not easy.

That translation process must be incredibly difficult. Props to you. I never see people doing that (unless they’re doing a 1:1 translation, which tends not to sound good). Even Rammstein’s own English version of Du Hast was kinda lame.

Incredibly bittersweet. I do know a little German and Japanese, too. Not nearly enough to understand almost all songs those people make. In English, this hits pretty hard.
EPIC. Being an amatuer writer, this has me imagine a tale of a medieval warrior of epically earned honor, but, he begins to have strange breathing problems and gradually dies within a year- his family of three and a wife come to grips with the village healer being completely unable to help the epic man. Like some distantly similar version of 'Brian's Song'.
