The second scene says so much about these two. Mostly Colin. One: even when Colin is talking to someone else, he is thinking about and waiting for Penelope. Also, he has to compliment her when she enters the room. Squeals. Two: the looks they exchange and the “will you escort me out” made me swoon. He asks this so he can talk to her more and she is the only person he can confide in. Three: he respects her family and her friendship with Eloise even when asking to keep things secret. Four: her feeling guilty about her unloyalty to him due to her secret and I hope the show does this aspect justice and make it less trivial in the show than they did in the book. I can’t take it anymore. I need season 3 now.
The way he lingers a little after he bows to leave, just as if he'd wish to touch her and then remembers that Portia's there. I live for these little moments between them, truly and I also loved the expression on Portia's face, like she knows there is something there but can't quite point out what it is
I stopped watching Bridgerton after the lead actor who plays the Duke left the show but if I were to watch it again I'd watch it simply for Penelope & Luke

I'm scared for Penelope, she has suffered a lot for Colin. I think Colin will treat her very badly when he finds out that she is Lasy Whistledown... And it is not fair. First, She wrote about Marina's pregnancy to save Colin from her lies. And second, she wrote about Eloise to save her from the Queen. Pen deserves all the happiness, she's practically the heroine of the entire saga so far. Rather, Colin deserves her contempt for saying those things and hurting her a lot... I want Colin to suffer now and have a hard time being with her. And that there is a suitor for penelope, it would be fair... Come on Pen.
I think Colin would respect her for outing Marina, understanding that Marina holds no ill will for the revelation as she’s happy, and that her actions saved him from humiliation and ruin. I think he could also understand why she did what she did to Eloise, as he knew about Theo Sharp and was actively trying to dissuade her himself. He may also have been a shoulder Eloise cried on about the queen’s threats, so he would definitely see the logic in Pens actions
@@elizacarrie7433 I think Colin will be understanding too but If he does react badly, I hope Penelope stands up for herself and calls Colin out on his stupidity instead of taking Collin's bs like Book Penelope did most of the time. She saved him from being trapped by Mariana, he should be grateful to her for that. She published the situation in lady whistledown as a last resort, knowing it would blow back on her family as well, she loves the idiot that much. She also saved Eloise and the rest of the bridgerton family from far worse consequences from the queen after Eloise didn't listen to her or Colin. She even saved Daphne from being blackmailed into marrying Nigel Berbrooke (after Violet got the info against him like a bad ass mama bear) and it would have been Anthony's fault so she saved Anthony from causing his sister a lifetime of misery. The whole bridgeton family should be grateful to her and it would be nice to see them all stand by her in season 3.

I have a feeling Portia KNOWS. She knows and she will be the ship captain next season unlike the books. This portia is incredibly smart. Having her undermine her daughter would be detrimental to her character. So instead I think the show runner's will push for Portia knowing and scheming for her daughter's sake.

Anthony is a fan of Penelope, im so fucking sure of it! I was watching ep 101 and when pen glances at the bridgertons during her debut, its almost as if anthony looks over pen in approval, like she's the only good one out of all the other ladies of her family with her in that moment. Even here, look at his distaste with Lady featherington, but with Pen, it's not like that. He can see that she's genuine, unlike her mom. I can just see him being a Polin stan and being an older sibling to her, unlike her sisters ever were to her. Heck, she'll lose two trashy older sisters and a trash mom and gain two wonderful brother in laws and wonderful mother in law in their place 🥹🥹🥹
I´m sorry but when I watch this scene again the only thing that comes to my mind is this: height difference! I hope that in Season 3 they decide to use the clear height difference between Colin and Penelope to their advantage in...special scenes. If you know what I mean.
