Mercedes claims they can’t replicate this problem despite it happening daily. No idea wtf to do, I’ve never spilled a drop. I’ve noticed once it completes an XM channel update, the problem goes away for the day.
Unplugged fixed the command shutting off but no audio now….
I have this same issue. Dealer wants to change the entire COMAND system. Did you get this fixed?
Great video. My wife has a 2014 E350 and we're having an issue where the command will randomly reboot or get stuck in a reboot loop. I have seen other videos or read threads suggesting to use a fiber loop to methodically "remove" each device or module from the fiber ring in the car (satellite radio reciever, disk changer, voice control module, etc.) and see if one of those components is the problem. In your video, you don't mention a fiber loop or any "dongle" that you might need to use to keep the fiber loop complete. I guess my basic question is this: Can you provide any guidance on troubleshooting on a 2014 Command system "reboot loop" situation? Thanks for the great video!
Hey maybe you got an answer for my problem. I put an after-market android display in my 2014 a45. After working on it for hours and getting everything to work it will say every 15sec "Command Unit shutting down". I disconnected the android display and removed aftermarket harness and it still will shut off. I am not sure what to do and next step would be diagnostic with mechanic and they told me already it will be complicated and expesnive and they recommend to get it solved myself...
