The modern car can be a bit silly alright Eric, but are we silly or do we just low them🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ I got side tracked Friday & will send that video tomorrow 😉😉
yourself and alan are some men to diagnoise a car... looking forward to part two to see the fix... chasing an airbag short to ground last two days, these things are sent to test us!"!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Lar 🙏🙏. We can only all do our best & I have to say this one was a little bit challenging with so many faults in so many modules. The modern motor car eh, modules everywhere 😤😤 Part 2 on the way 😉👍👍
Looking forward to part 2 Peter…very interesting…how more complicated can cars get before they just won’t work at all!!!??? You used the best and only tool for this job and fault finding…the good old noggin 👍🏻
I too am at a Merc the last few days Peter - happily the one I am at is a '96 Vario Bus that needs repairs to the front wheelarches & a load of fiberglass repairs to the body, :-) It's the size of a small house, but has next to no electronic gubbins what for doing my head in. Or if it does, they ain't my problem.. :-) Fair play to you for going at that ^^ ball of dung. :-) The kids down your way today at the horsey-racing, whatever meet is going on in The 'Ford today. No doubt your pubs will be drank dry tonight. :-)
We all have our own challenges James, I’d hate to be at that big bus 😬😬😬 But shor aren’t we all gluttons for punishment 😂😂 I hope the young lad done ok at the horses 🤞🤞
Well if chat gpt was any good we could type error codes into it and presto..all problems solved. So until AI can do that I'm not interested. Good show Peter. Doing oil and filter today on Mazda. It's going like a storm. Got new alloys for it too. Looking to change it for the BK 2.0 Mazda 3 petrol with 165bhp. Have to go to England for one though.👍😃👍😃😁😁
That will be a good car , pity you have to travel so far to get it though. And yes it would be great if only we could do as a fault code said, not much on these yokes that I’m not aware of at this point 😬😬 Cheers mate & by the way what is your name? Rather than me calling you bastogne 😊
I have fixed now, but the can low was an issue and didn’t just come back to what I expected straight away. Only after replacing the module, coding it & clearing faults did it come back to 2,5v being pulled down to 1.5v. Stupid cars 😤😂😂😂😂
you have to do both of these things; (1) strip back the wiring that you intend to use and count the individual strands (2) measure or accurately assess the Thickness of the replacement strands with the older original ones, and if possible go for slightly thicker to reduce the resistance, do remember to keep the replacement wiring as short as physically possible, as having a lot of excessively long wiring just bundled up afterward will cause Can errors, they need to be Twisted to counteract magnetic interference and uphold transmission of data integrity.
A device can port is dragging the CAN L voltage low?. "If multiple devices are connected on the network, the CAN voltage measured will be the average of all devices, and you will not be able to determine if one device has failed."
It’s more & more complicated it’s getting Peter😅great patience and diagnostic work

Oh & thanks for watching & commenting 🙏🙏

I’m sticking up part 2 in a few minutes, a little bit of Saturday entertainment Damien 😉🙏🙏

Interesting case, I think I would unplug the abs and the scm to see if the can low goes back to normal.

Hi can i use speaker wire to repair CAN bus wires? Would it work
you have to do both of these things; (1) strip back the wiring that you intend to use and count the individual strands (2) measure or accurately assess the Thickness of the replacement strands with the older original ones, and if possible go for slightly thicker to reduce the resistance, do remember to keep the replacement wiring as short as physically possible, as having a lot of excessively long wiring just bundled up afterward will cause Can errors, they need to be Twisted to counteract magnetic interference and uphold transmission of data integrity.
Jesus Pete you do get them lol but you’re the man for it such a clever clever guy where you get that brain power from 😊
I’m just the exact same as any one, but I don’t like to not be able to fix a thing so just keep on going until it’s done 🤷🏼♂️😂😂

Sounds very interesting 🧐. It was the radar sensor that fixed it. Can low came back after fitting and programming 💪💪
Good comment though & thanks 🙏🙏
Awesome
It only gets really awesome by the end when I figure out what’s going on. But this little yoke was testing 😬😬😬
