With Ana's damage reduction, she will not only no longer 2-shot Tracer (as mentioned in the video), but she also will no longer be able to 3-shot heroes who have 225 hp. So this nerf is actually a lot more impactful than just affecting her matchup against Tracer.

Illaris' deployable just gave a minor buff to widow. Now she can be pocketed without the need of a dedicated teammate.
That's if thr widow doesn't panic and grapples away
Then she is waistibg most of her healing on a character that dont need healing.
@@captain4865If she and her team is pushed she can immediately redeploy it with no cooldown. Also if she's paired with a main healer there's not much of a difference. It can make flanking a widow a lot more annoying now.

I swear, Everytime Brig gets a small buff to her HP or Shield, they revert it the next patch.
Because her counters aren't meta, the people who do actually play her are good at her giving her bloated stats and the game is balanced based on the top 1% of players, not the 99%.

Game is balanced around what the basement dwellers like flats have to say.
I hate that Lifeweavers ult gives that much overhealth. It makes brigs ult(that just also got nerfed) less unique, just like how Junker Queens shout used to be a better brig ult
Tree of life needed a buff, and I think this works. However, I wish Brig gave armor again instead of just overhealth.
They’re working on complete rework/revamp for brig’s ult anyway, so it’s better to give her functions to other heroes. The devs say it’s taking long because they have to make the new visuals for her new ult from scratch and so on.

25 hp is a massive buff. They pretty much just reverted those changes
They buffed him where he's most effective and nerfed where he's not supposed to be good. I think this is overall a buff but still allows other hitscans be viable.

I really liked how they made cassidy a playable character for a couple months by increasing his fall off range but with the cost of that extra 25 health now hes just ashe but worse again. Great.

The Hanzo wall climb nerf kinda hurt, I loved wall climbing an off angle to get a pick 🤧 not being able to 2 tap a Tracer as Ana is gonna suck too
I truly didn't expect them to nerf Brig. Fine with the ult charge increase, but that shield change is gonna mess with my muscle memory for a while. Like that 50 to me is the difference from a paper shield to a somewhat viable shield. Also still not a fan of the ult change too.
Ya I can’t comprehend how in the world they came to the conclusion that her survivability is too high when every other support bar LW, zen and ana have better survivability through their mobility or abilities. Brig still has a 250 hp hero hitbox and never should’ve been lowered to 250 hp
same bro;that 50 made me go from a thrower to an being actually good at the hero
If they had made it to where she can still use her dash skill without the shield, minus the bashing effect, that would have actually been a pretty good trade-off. I don't know why she can't do that to begin with. Once her shield is gone she's a fish out of water and is easier to kill than any other character in the game.
The ult charge increase is just stupid but I think the player base really hates brig because they don't realize how underwhelming she can be outside of top 500. They see she's really strong in the current top tier meta but then fail to realize that doesn't matter everywhere. I have to switch off from brig a good chunk of the time because adapting to her is pretty simple, just focus her shields until they break and she's nearly worthless. Ana has been a strong pick for years in almost every tier but i guess she gets a pass because you can kill her more easily once you're right on top of her? idgi
Just play a real hero that takes more than a couple brain cells to play

Love pretty much all of these changes. I was worried that Orisa was gonna be insanely OP after getting the fortify health buff, but now we know it's a counter-balance to the Armor DR update.

Orisa makes the game boring, S2 was the worst meta by far. Let's keep her as a good hero in Bronze but don't make her brain-dead playstyle good in higher ranks.
Not sure if anyone noticed but the kiriko kunai change means that you cant headshot melee to delete tracers anymore.
They'll live with about 7hp

But you still can with 2 bodyshots, technically easier.
And you still can do 1 headshot and 1 bodyshot, so not that bad.
plus ana now doesnt do 150 anymore. i actually like the change but thats because i play tracer. i only play very rarely so when i came back i had no clue ana had a damage increase and she kept 2 shotting me without me recalling because i was used to 70

@@listlie HAHA YEH THAT. every time i thought i must have taken a tick of damage from somewhere and i never recalled until i figured it out
@@aeni13 They only reason that it was a big advantage in that match up was that the kunai + melee animation cancel meant that the tracer couldn't react with recall or blink if you caught her unaware. Tracers kit means that one shots or hard CC are the only ways to consistently threaten her, anything else and her E can negate it and her blinks make her incredible at disengaging. Being able to two tap her with two primary fires is not nearly as much of a threat to her.
I'm not weighing in on whether it's a good or bad change before I've played it, but it's definitely a significant nerf to that match up in particular.

@skullfluffy Yep, haven't played in months. Been playing Mercy since s1 of OW1 and all they've ever do to her is nerf nerf nerf. Think she's ever been buffed like twice and they didn't last long at all.

tesla cannon secondary fire recovery time nerf will likely mean that using it right before landing could result in lower damage as you may have to wait longer to continue firing , ill have to test it. but the charge speed buff makes it much better for priming backliners pre jump or mid jump which is what you should be doing instead anyway for max dmg
The change to it and suzu seem like they're trying to push people to use the abilities properly
After testing it seems to be a nerf in my opinion. Typically with secondary fire, you are more or less pre charging in between engages to have a shot ready for someone that walks into your kill range, doing this now and then following up with primary makes for less damage on your engage a lot of the time. This change effectively makes poking easier, but hurts your combos and overall engages. I really dont understand why they made this change other than as a stealth micro nerf to winston to force a meta change therefore creating artificial content through variety

@@Antonio-ys5zd Even up on walls you’re a big target for hitscans who won’t have a problem hitting you. The buff only being applied during amp which is 12s cooldown is what makes the change not too broken

As a Hanzo player, I'm fine with nerfing Hanzo, but why did they revert the change they made years ago. The arrow keeping it's draw position felt very fluid for his kit and made him feel less sluggish.
Because they have no idea how to balance Hanzo. This change made me so sad.

Honestly I'm scared for Ram. Idk how bad the dmg reduction fix would be but it makes Ram have less survivability. Hopefully he doesn't really feel it but I love playing him so if he goes down imma be sad.
Best patch for a while (well for me as a doom main lol) questionable desicions to Orisa and Kiriko but every else seems really cool

@@Az-ecimThe crit damge isn't decreased strongly. It goes from 120 to 112.5 Still twoshots 200/225 heroes so it doesnt matter. Body shot dmg got buffed. Suzu heals either 10 less than before or 20 more than before or something. So it's not really nerf either. dmg changes make kiriko more noob friendly without doing anything to the bullshit twoshot crit

Im glad they finaly came around to doom but in all honesty the damage of stuck abilities wasn't really the problem, its just that doom requires an aggresive and in your face playstyle that could be easily countered by a bunch of heroes such as: Orisa, cassidy, sombra, ana, zen, mercy which is a lineup that are aggressive hard counters and could at points completely negate his abilities.
9:50 Funnily enough despite identifying instantly its a buff the test makes it look like a nerf as the before dies quicker DUE to the higher spread when aiming at the chest.

These patch updates are the best and most useful info dumps about seasonal changes regarding Overwatch literally anywhere
So how does the damage reduction cap thing work? It says the cap is meant to be 50% but there’s some abilities like Doom and Ramattra block that are meant to be higher than that (Ram block is 75%). Does it mean Doom and Ram’s blocks now do less reduction?
NOOOOO as a Tracer main, I loved sticking the ultimate in a meka being destroyed, so Dva would die as soon as she gets ejected

I remember back in OW1 when the ability for Hanzo to keep his arrow after wall climbing was huge and a massive QoL feature because he felt extremely sluggish and vulnerable after a wall climb.
yeh i used it a lot to be less predictable and actually able to sometimes shoot a shot at a widow without peaking into her crosshair, im actually really upset about this one. i used it all the time :/

@@hihigocat aah i did not know that but its still very dumb. it definitely will make the gameplay a lot less smooth as i dont think i ever fully charged it before starting the wall climb. i usually used the time to aim after finishing the wall climb to charge it over the headshot one shot number

Bastion and Ilari has kinda been insane rn. As a DPS player there's not much you can do because he's basically immortal.
Bait turret and dive pylon. Boom, both are dead. Literally just get good
With all these buff i'm scared of the progression line of tracer, there's gonna be a wall of skills that many player won't be able to pass for be able to playing it in higher rank and even get it effective in lower rank with all these support/tank buff. (good good, really good for ana damage nerf :))

As a cass main, im not really happy with the changes. HP buff is nice but the damage fall off hurts. I rather have longer range than more hp.

After the last nade nerf I havent really seen people complaining about it. Only braindead people who dive cass as a doomfist or tracer.
The nade was OP when it did 130 damage, now its just the hinder thats good, but not even OP. Defenitely not if ur opponents can think and know how to play around it.

@@Az-ecimBro thinks everyone has that 90% sleep dart accuracy. Ana's nade doesn't need any cd nerfs either. If they nerf it any further, they'll have to buff its healing. Ana will just be easier to kill with the constant nerfs.
I love all these changes and new content. Great work Blizzard. I have been saying since the OW2 release that there needs to be another hitscan support, and that there needs to be a support with deployable health packs. A healing beacon is a close enough analogue for me. Thanks for the concise and informative breakdown of the updates KarQ.

as a tracer main im pretty happy to see ana's damage nerf but that new hero just took her place lmao. still as hard now or maybe a bit harder cause illari heals a ton and fires pretty quickly
The changes on Ana and Kiriko seems pretty ok to me, but the damage reduction on both will kinda hurt me against Tracer.

Now that they nerfed Mercy's damage boost which the community actually asked before the GA and healing nerfs, why not revert those nerfs back. At least the GA nerf to match the beam connection time and the res times.

I like the buffs to bastion since it's my main but I don't think it'll stay long. Especially the healing bc Bastion will have quite the survivability and I think it'll cause some player complaints

Well darn, a competent Tracer on the enemy team is now once more a sign that you might wanna swap off Ana. The two-shot was tricky enough to full off as-is, but now you either need to land three or combo two shots into a nade/melee.
Orisa already didn’t die during fortify so the health buff is whatever but the falloff range being increased is the annoying part

Finally bastion got some of his healing back, also masive W for all bastion players. Im so f*cking happy the nade actually does something now :') / Edit i hate the nade change, when they made the fuze shorter they some how made the knock back when nade jumping worse, i cant jump up to half of the old spots i use to.
yeah bro, as a bastion main i agree. Good changes. Nade now deals 130 which is deadly for tracer/widow since detonation time is low and u need 1 shot less to kill them
I was thinking the same thing. Horizontal jumps are still great but trying to get a really high jump is impossible now

@@MrClonedzerobro, 25hp doesn't do much. When he got nerfed to 200hp no one even felt it. 10m is too much. His only strong side is now countering dive characters

Before he was basically just a worse Ashe, did the same midrange marksman playstyle. Now he's more close range but tankier.

@@MrClonedzero he also cant be 1 shotted by hanzo now which was a problem for me. and he can survive much longer against characters like genji and tracer since he has a slightly bigger body then most dps characters.
imo its a big buff if youre against any character that isnt a sniper or against a pharah that shoots rockets from spawn

I personally found the suzu boop to be extremely useful for hitting an easy headshot on an up close enemy. Kinda sad thats gone. Whatever shes still uber buster imo.

I agree, but now discord needs a nerf. Becuase as of now I believe they are currently both at 25% and discord should always be lower than damage boost.

Absolutely nothing for Roadhog despite being the worst hero for the past 2 seasons. Imagine if something like this happened to Mercy. They would respond and buff her RIGHT AWAY. Roadhog is the only hero that’s never been picked in OWL. Remember when they said “We will adjust Roadhog soon after we have addressed the hook combo”? That was 8 months ago LMFAO. As if we needed more proof that the devs don’t even play their own game.
