Ive always loved the W8, since I first saw it at the New York auto show in the early 90s. There was a Ferrari F40 there, but the W8 is what I went home dreaming about. Looks like this owner needs a new gas door strut. But I love that he has it out and about.
Cocaine already is a car. The DeLorean. It's perfect because the DMC-12 is just a big ball of confusion just like what people think they know about cocaine.
242mph recorded top speed!! I LOVED this as a kid. So many buttons inside, insane speed and looks, fighter aircraft digital display. It was even more mental than the kings of mental, Lamborghini. As a 17 year old car nut, this was IT! Rarer than rocking horse shit, too. Gerry Wiegart, I salute you.
That was never a recorded top speed. That was an estimate from the manufacturer. Car and Driver reported that with the factory gearing and engine at redline the actual top speed would be 218 mph.

I loved this car when it first arrived on the scene in the early 90s, and I still love it! I was so lucky to speak with a representative of the company at the time. And they were so gracious to actually mail me a brochure of the W8 Twin Turbo (which I hate I no longer have). I've only ever seen one of these on the streets of Los Angeles. And that's saying alot as to how rare they are. Considering you can see just about any kind of superexotic in L.A. I'll never forget it, a red colored Vector W8 Twin Turbo (like the one in the movie Rising Sun) passing opposite me on the 405 freeway. As a footnote, I met Wesley Snipes during pre-production for the film "Rising Sun".
This car is so awesome that I love it. The first time i've seen this car is in Gran Turismo 2 and it also made an appearance in the 1993 movie called Rising Sun. Out of all the exotics out there, this one doesn't get much love, which is sad. You couldn't imagine how much one of them costs nowadays.
Faster than ANY European super car, proof that America is the innovator, EU just steals our technology and over prices their pieces of crap for only ignorant Americans to buy
Nice looking car for its era but this was no American innovation that Europe had to steal technology from , this was a 4000 pound car with a 3 speed transmission from an Oldsmobile , the Porsche 959 came out in 1986 with all wheel drive , 6 speed manual transmission and can do 0-60 in 3.6 seconds , oh yeah , and the Porsche didn't need its own tow truck to haul it around because it won't start .
What would you call that style of wheel? I'm looking for something similar. A slicer? I think somebody made a fairly popular wheel back in the day that looked much like that. Naturally I don't need the crazy dimensions. Any help would be appreciated.
+Hanz Solobuger in the early 1980s, Road & Track test drove this and listed the price at around $250-280,000, which was a LOT of money in those days. I have heard of a Vector go on the auction block for almost $500,000. I have no idea what made it more special than the other W8s as there were very few made.
I would be sweating being valet and knowing this is a rare car and if I break it I would buy it... and that would break me-- they're probably aware of that, and it's why they had it parked so far away from the others lol
The Automotive world has its share of odd and bizarre autos, some ugly and some horrible and "THEN" there is this abomination from bloody hell. If I had it my way I would drive it like I stole it, crash it and burn it to da ground. Yes it is that hideous.

This vehicle has been my dream car for over 20 years.

Scott Lantz actually you could imagine the price on one. About 3million
King of Kings what do you mean american innovator? innovator of what exactly???
This car is so good, it could beat other hypercars that were made a decade or two after it was made
The Cars are so rare you not found any new Video of a W2 in youtube
Bad ass car with GM twin turbo reliability and easy maintenance.
stunning project and car Jerry Wiegert.
I adore this design. :(
If this car was built in Italy everyone would be talking about it out of all the exotic cars ever made this one will always stand out for me.
At approx. 0.55. Did someone say “ Delorean”? I know its not for everyone to recognice a rare car like tjhis, but a Delorean!
I think it would be interesting to see this car design in new electric supercars!
Still my favorite supercar, just freaking awesome

It looks like the love child of a Countach and Ford GT
Pretty rare car, I actually like the design!
What a sight! 😮
If Synthwave was a car, this is how it would look like.
Love the car , and was truly a short drive !
If robocop were a car XD
That throaty rumble sounds awesome. 😛👍
I would love to own one of these one day... but that will never happen - I'd even own a replica if someone would modernize the interior to 2018 specs.
Vector did not have a w8 engine.it was powered by a chevy v8 engine coupled to a front wheel drive system mounted in the vectors rear end.
That car is the sheet😎
Yes that's the way to do it.
This is the one i like with the different vents and deeper front spoiler...no 2 vector w8s are the same
what an extremely beautiful car. This design should be redone in carbon fiber
“It was legendary threw a tv out the Montage “
Fantastic!
Can somebody make a video of a Vector driving in the rain? I want to see what it's like with the strangely arranged wipers in motion.
I'll get right on it...

largol33t1 currently a vector w8 costs 1.6 million US dollars
One just sold at auction for 320k
Well over $500K in today's market ..
