Many of his trees, in the more impressionist style of work, take on somewhat human characteristics in spiritual ways. Absolutely beautiful, thank you.

I've loved Inness for years, and it's so great to see so many paintings together on a lit computer screen. His work, especially his later work, transcends the genre of landscape painter of any school. He discovered the connection between the inner life of nature and the inner light of ourselves.

What an absolute resource these videos are. I've been interested in Inness's work for awhile, but would only seem to find it occasionally reproduced in books or rarely in person in a museum. To see the work in such depth really deepens my admiration for it.

Wonderful luminescent landscape painter that has thematic and spiritual preoccupations shared by Russian artists of the 19 century.Thank you for soul nourishment.

First time I've seen his work. Such beautiful landscapes. Love the lighter paintings. Faded out mood is amazing. Pops of intense colors every now and then. 😍

I have never encountered a landscape drawn by Inness. I feel the softness of the soil, grass and trees. Looking at the sunset picture, the sun seems to go back to the soil

Jade, to me there is often a melancholy or an almost terrifying quietude even to some of his works, something so raw and enigmatic. Most cannot deny his unique vision and talents. He is world renowned even though many are often unaware.

George Inness, né à Newburgh, État de New York le 1er mai 1825 et mort à Bridge of Allan, Écosse, le 3 août 1894 (à 69 ans), est un peintre américain.
    Biographie
