Been listening to this chart since 1986 and I never get tired of it. Saw Janis at a master class in Cleveland in 2005 and wow - what a gal, what a winner!
Such a fabulous singer, how incredible that she is also a part of Manhattan Transfer. That these people ended up together tells me that there is so much more to life then just random chance.
I have loved her since I was 15 and her lead vocals dominated The Manhattan Transfer. What a fantastic vocalist and artistic interpreter. So shamelessly under appreciated!
Written by and originally recorded by Bob Dorough, Janis Siegel owns this song. This is a song I always play loud, and let Janis’ voice and the superb accompaniment envelope me. It’s especially wonderful when I am listening with headphones. 🖤
I'm certain I've said before, here on RUclips. "Jazz Summit" with Jon Hendricks, Janis Siegel, Bobby McFerrin and Dianne Reeves singing as a Quartet in San Francisco.... many years ago, one fine, fun performance... A night I remember well.
Spectacular vocal ,,, great band,,, impeccable,,,

Beautiful
When did I first hear this 1987 ? Does not matter, still one of the best recordings ever. Perfection !
Great song for a great girl. I was a Manhattan Transfer fan from their first album.

Fabulously smoky song from an eternally talented chanteuse.
Great sound on this upload. Thanks so much. The original video has bad sound. I remember when this came out. I was blown away. Still am.
