just don't anger the police. otherwise pickens is a wonderful place to live ! beautiful county , lake and mountain country . only problem is that Pickens is getting too big, the bigger a town gets the worse it gets. we want it to stay small.. most of us anyway. the big wheels hungry for money want the growth , witch is not good for a peaceful town..
I agree with you which is precisely why we have decided to stay put and not move to South Carolina. The greed and lack of common sense of the decision makers, developers, and realtors is fueling the feeding frenzy and the locals will be left holding the bag. Their greed, shortsightedness, and irresponsibility is so thick you can cut it with a knife! It should be obvious to anyone with enough common sense and consciousness to fill a thimble! These greedmiesters are all in the same bath tub washing each others back as they laugh all the way to the bank using locals for patsy's! Yes, these greedmiesters are the elephant in the room that no one seems to want to talk about. Well I just did and will continue to do so! Am I upset? Sure I am because we would have been good neighbors living among those of like mind. Liberals are taking over the state and you can bet your bottom dollar that many of them will do everything in their power to turn South Carolina into the hell holes they fled from. Look around you - it's already begun to take hold. Developments with houses packed together like canned sardines, the overcrowding, and what about the traffic nightmares and crazy drivers from predominantly libitard states are having locals in many areas pulling their hair out! Remember this; if crime has not increased in many of these areas - there is a very good chance it will. When you see an unbalanced focus on "the arts" wake up and watch the snowball rolling down the mountain. These numbskulls destroy everything they touch - its a darn shame!

personally I don't think it will grow like the other areas have because it's farther away from the big interstates.
