don,t make me cry again. well it,s wierd but i think i loved her not less than those hero characters though she was evil but it was charismatic charming evil. her love for Tatsumi and that final moments of her truely burned my chest. i hope some day she will be reunited with the one she cherishes.

But even with that strength she couldn’t earn or forcefully obtain Tatsumi’s love and that’s most likely why she ended up falling madly in love with him because she desired it badly, an obstacle that couldn’t be reached. Which makes sense on why she still felt so much love for him even after he died as a “weakling”. She may never understand why she felt that way but she at least left the world with the key that freed her from the ideology her father engraved within her mind.

Esdeath and Bols has the saddest death theme. Both are monsters who found the love of their life. Both died wanting to see their partner one last time. Esdeath also died wanting for her unrequited love to be returned. Romantic Love was a new feeling for Esdeath and she was actually changing. Perhaps in a different time, Tatsumi change Esdeath to be better but we will never know.
For some weird reason I loved esdeath, maybe I like yandere girls in anime :p she is the best one I love so far but I guess its also because she had such a dark heart yet with tatsumi she felt some kind of light she couldn't understand. Also she is beautiful and sexy.

@@tonyboss1875 Not really, she is just doing her job as an Imperial millitary member. If Esdeath is evil then is our country's millitary personnel is evil too ? I don't think so, and the night raid aren't good people too. They killed lots of imperial soldiers who most likely has family to feed food to and innocent citizens gets caught in the collateral damage.
Honestly I don't think the subplot about Esdeath looking for a lover and falling for Tatsumi should have existed at all. It's completely out of character and seems to only be done for fanservice reasons. It also added nothing to the story except revealing information that was either completely irrelevant to the plot (like Esdeath's backstory) or one that the Boss, Najenda already knew (like her Teigu's power). Had it been done away with altogether, I believe not only the series would be better, but it would also be better for Esdeath as a character, and possibly even leave a door open for her to develop a real, healthy relationship with one of the Jaegers.
it's always the complicated girls or shy ones in most cases that always have trouble with love only to understand it as they meet their end. manga took a different route in this case since they let esdeath die alone in the latest chapter
