I'm surprised the dance scene from Billy Elliot where he dances in defiance of his father didn't make the list. Not even as an honorable mention. I'd say that one was pretty intense.
Cause they are counting down their picks for the most unhinged and downright disturbing dance scenes. I don't think Billy Elliot fall under that category. Intense but not disturbing or unhinged.
This list is wrongly titled. It should be the creepiest, or off-putting dances. Flashdance, Billy Elliot, West Side Story, etc, all have truly "Intense" dance scenes, just not necessarily creepy.
Other intense dance scenes: •Batman (1989)- The Joker and Vicky Vale dancing on top of the cathedral •Demon Knight- The lone survivor dancing with the demonic being
I think this list was misnamed. It should've been called Creepiest Dance Scenes rather than intense. All of these entries had weird, scary, bizarre or downright crazy dance scenes (I'm looking at you Susperia) vs. intense which could've included everything from Flashdance to A Chorus Line to Footloose.
Surprised 'Climax' isn't included aside from the snippet at the end. It's got constant dancing and once everyone's been dosed (unwittingly), the dancing gets really unhinged. I love it and can watch it over and over.
The subway scene in "Possession" (1981). Isabelle Adjani gave a terrifying brilliant performance of a woman going through a demonic possession all during a divorce.
The waltz from Labyrinth. Full of temptation, throbbing with longing for the beautiful dress. It's got to be the Tangerine Dream track though, the other just doesn't work.
I don't know if you ever done ballets but can you do some top 10 ballet dream roles? Like Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker? Or Odette from Swan Lake and Giselle
You also forgot the movie, "Lair of the White Worm" with a very young Hugh Grant. Who doesn't love a great Irish ditty with a giant white worm joining the people dancing?!
@@christophercox936 I was hearing stories about BLACK SWAN using a body double way before I got to see it but, to be fair, just about every scene with Portman's face clearly visible while she was definitely dancing had Vincent Cassel telling her she was doing it wrong, or involved some camera trickery that could be expected to have viewers think that, if she could grow feathers, they could be artifically making her look better. Despite the common central theme of the hot girl going bananas, THE RED SHOES and BLACK SWAN do look very different, with the older film presented on a much larger scale with more characters, and the newer more focused and intense.
In Joker, the ballet in the bathroom after his first murder seems more intense to me. I think this writer has "intense" and "Interesting" filling the same criteria.
There's no context yet for Swan Lake? They've been mentioning it the whole movie through, it's essential for the full understanding of her transformation. I did not understand this comment.
“Legend” 1985 dance scene. 🙌 One of my all time favorite.
Mine too.
Ooooohhh yes, yes, yes!! Fantastic 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I'm surprised the dance scene from Billy Elliot where he dances in defiance of his father didn't make the list. Not even as an honorable mention. I'd say that one was pretty intense.
Me too
Cause they are counting down their picks for the most unhinged and downright disturbing dance scenes. I don't think Billy Elliot fall under that category. Intense but not disturbing or unhinged.
I think the dance in 19801's Legend, when the timid girl becomes the black bride deserves a spot in the list.
The Labyrinth dance sequence was choreographed by Gates McFadden, Dr Crusher from Star Trek Next Gen.
Labyrinth was an odd but nostalgic choice.
Literally Honourable Mention:
Deadpool and Wolverine’s Bye(3x) Dance at Logan’s Gravestone
This list is wrongly titled. It should be the creepiest, or off-putting dances. Flashdance, Billy Elliot, West Side Story, etc, all have truly "Intense" dance scenes, just not necessarily creepy.
Opening scene from White Nights with Mikhail Baryshnikov.
That was an amazing scene. MB had so much muscular control, it was hypnotic.
I thought I'd see the Grand Central Station dance sequence from The Fisher King. That was magnificent.
Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge was pretty hypnotic.
I adore Nathalie Portman in Black Swan. She was briliant
How is the end of Saltburn not on this list?! I realize you would have had to blur out the naughty bits, but that was truly unhinged.
Just about everything in that movie is unhinged😂
I can't believe that the club scene from Jacob's Ladder didn't make this list. It's one of the most intensely horrific dance scenes I've ever seen.
Other intense dance scenes:
•Batman (1989)- The Joker and Vicky Vale dancing on top of the cathedral
•Demon Knight- The lone survivor dancing with the demonic being
Not even an honorable mention for El Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge?
I think this list was misnamed. It should've been called Creepiest Dance Scenes rather than intense. All of these entries had weird, scary, bizarre or downright crazy dance scenes (I'm looking at you Susperia) vs. intense which could've included everything from Flashdance to A Chorus Line to Footloose.
Lili's dance in Legend deserves to be first and it didn't even get an honorable mention. Who TF writes this junk?
I would argue that the Joker's public bathroom dance after his first kill was more intense than the stairs dance.
yes Legend should be in this list.
Flashdance and Dirty Dancing. The fact so many people with little to no dancing experience shows the impact of both movies.
Don’t think anything is that intense in those movies.
A never forgot about the M3gan dance. It appears in my head whenever I dream or fantasize about anything. It’s still cool, though.
Surprised 'Climax' isn't included aside from the snippet at the end. It's got constant dancing and once everyone's been dosed (unwittingly), the dancing gets really unhinged. I love it and can watch it over and over.
Yea The Red Shoes is by far….by far the greatest. No competition.
Prologue from Black Swan. Happy monday night, Emily, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
The subway scene in "Possession" (1981). Isabelle Adjani gave a terrifying brilliant performance of a woman going through a demonic possession all during a divorce.
Disturbing!
Everyone is wrong. The absolute number one best dance scene is Sam Rockwell’s dance in Charlie’s Angels (2000).
Hmmm, no mention of Wednesday’s Dance? Not even a comment about it.
I love m3gan dance scene
Where was Emma Stone’s dance from Poor Things?
I think the Black Swan dance was more intense because it showed her fully embracing her darker half and become more complete as an individual.
I'm here for the Megan dance🤣
Billy Elliott!
The waltz from Labyrinth. Full of temptation, throbbing with longing for the beautiful dress. It's got to be the Tangerine Dream track though, the other just doesn't work.

I came in to mention Legend from 1985. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks it should have been included.
Moulin Rouge's Roxanne Tango was one of the most intense I've ever seen.
😂😂😂 iconic
No roxanne from moulan rough or the dream sequence from dont worry darling
Or the dance from vampire in brooklin or the drug induced dance from climax
Hedwig is my #1.
We need a pt 2
Singing in the Rain in a Clockwork Orange was pretty horrifying
Napoleon Dynamite, Billy Elliot, Saturday Night Fever in no particular order.
I think we have a different opinion of what "intense" means,
Is that "Hahn" in "Buffalo Bill's" basement?? He must not have liked that she wanted to be a surgeon at Grey's. 😂
The NCO dance in Fort Apache. Before the boy's go off to Fight Cochise.
Abigail should have been on this list!
You also forgot the movie, "Lair of the White Worm" with a very young Hugh Grant. Who doesn't love a great Irish ditty with a giant white worm joining the people dancing?!
I don’t think intense is the right word for the title of this video. It should be unnerving.
No Abigail? At least three scenes deserve at least an honorable mention.
"He had it coming" dance from "Chicago" was witty and fun and intense. Just not creepy, like all the dances in this ridiculously badly titled list.
I'd have thought the Red Shoes ballet was way ahead of most of the others - rather a lot were about male nutjobs swaying a bit
Definitely better then the black swan which used a body double and hid the fact until years after the Oscars.

Why do so many people enjoy so many disturbing things? Everyone likes to think that it doesn’t affect them, but it does. What a sad messed up world.
No Saturday Night Fever are you kidding me. Shame on this countdown
I don’t think there’s anything intense in that movie.
The gay bar scene from American Wedding.
Please include Barbie dance with the g a y Kens fighting for her. Weird stuff! 😂
Where's the dance battle between the Chipettes and those three woman in that one Alvin in the chipmunk movie!? /j
0:52 she looks like an Olsen sister.
A cross between an Olsen sister and Drew Barrymore
Tom Cruise: Tropic Thunder
Austin Powers!?
What about the brief dance scene in American Psycho?
There's no context yet for Swan Lake? They've been mentioning it the whole movie through, it's essential for the full understanding of her transformation. I did not understand this comment.
Um yeah Climax. The entire movie.
No Emma Stone in POOR THINGS ?????? What????? should have been #1 or at least top 3
Kind of sad Lily's dance from Legend didn't get an honorable mention
I am well and good creeped out now.
Abigail and Deadpool are missing
I would like to see the names of the dancer at the bottom like you have the singers.
And Salma??????
Buffalo Bill didn't dig the pit.. It's an old well..
you forgot Billy Elliot
"Intense" or "disturbing" dance? That's very different.
So…no nick swardson DDR scene? This list is atrocious.
Flashdance
Pearl + M3GAN a
You got served not being on here is criminal.. just saying
