    Is cyber warfare nowadays a bigger part of the country's security than fighting with bombs and bullets? Is it's importance overlooked since it's not in the daily news?

      I think govt. Official doesn't give much attention to it due to the lack of "action/drama" involved compared to actual combat ... people who keep burying their heads in the sand and stood nothing for re-election 😁😁😁

    I don't know why you left out the fact that STUXNET is one of the most complexe computer viruses ever made. It would actually target multiple types of computers and exploit them if it could, otherwise it would remain dormant. The source code was not released, it's just that the virus was spread and people were able to reverse engineer it in order to get the equivalent to the source code.

    • @ChairmanMeow1
      @ChairmanMeow1 2 года назад

      It affected Siemens machines only I think. The virus affected the rate of spin of the centrifuges that were refining uranium. Made them spin way too fast and ruin all their uranium on top of ruining the centrifuges completely themselves. Ingenious.

      Iran isn’t very stable. And with the things that going down in Middle East, it’s probably not a good thing for them to have nukes. Especially with their relations with Isreal and Saudi Arabia... There’s basically a little Cold War with Iran and Saudi Arabia
      Also America isn’t the only country that is trusted with nukes.

  • @FutureAIDev2015

    One minor nitpick. StuxNet didn't cause the centrifuges to suddenly go as fast as the motors could physically spin so they exploded like if you spin a CD with an angle grinder, rather they spun them probably 50% over specification for a while, then suddenly slowed them down to a crawl. This caused a more gradual failure that would have been much harder to detect.
    Exploding the motors all at once would create a big "bang!" sound that would alert the staff immediately.

      Dalton Morgan that's their religious belief. Everyone is free to believe in whatever they want. If people are happy about it then let them be. I haven't heard about their religious leaders misusing their powers or just hurting people in any way. Why can't the world just let them be? What has Iran done to the world that other so called 'peaceful' nations haven't?

    Question. If the centrifuges that enrich the Uranium 235 explode, isn't that nuclear? Like, leading to radioactive fallout and stuff? And also, wouldn't there have been casualties from such an explosion? From that many exploding centrifuges? Leading to my second question: Ethics?

    • @wackojacko586
      @wackojacko586 Год назад

      Centrifuges exoloding is not very radioactive since the chain reaction to initiate nuclear fission has not yet started, this is just creating the radioactive uranium isotopes to be used in the chain reaction. Casuality because of explosion is also minimal since there wont be human presence near a revolving centrifuge (my guess since the centrifuges are delicate they would be kept isolated away from dust and such other things).
      Your 2nd question ethics - lol

So why not other countries can have Nukes, I know there are tension between Iran and Isreal but We have UN which can make a norms about it and make every country to sing the agreement to not use nukes as first strike if made the country will face serious consequences. In 1980's they put Spying satellites on (India) to stop developing nuclear power even for energy purpose but eventually they become successful that's the reason India doesn't sings NPT(Non-proliferation Treaty). Also it had singed no first strike policy till date they had prove there word. If US want to disarm the nuclear weapons and stop developing, surely but first those who had more weapons. If US disarms the nukes I am sure other countries will definitely otherwise things like selling nuclear secrates will go on and also terrorism. 🖖

    I don't understand how it's always "o.k" for Israel and U.S to have nukes, but whenever some oriental/eastern nation starts developing it U.S sees it as a threat of war and a "bad" thing. Either everyone is alowed to produce nuclear weapons or no one is - it is extremely hypocritical to sabotage such projects if U.S was the first country ti develop, test and eventually (being the only one) use it on civilians. Countless times have western countries commited such acts of war justifying them as "neceassary" for stability or peace while objectively looking U.S still has the most nuked and was the only country to use them on civilian targets. U.S cannot police the worl and is actually the only country that cannot be trusted with nuclear weapons. De-weaponize the world

    • @juicyllama2097
      @juicyllama2097 6 лет назад +5

      Milan Radovic de-weaponizing the world is a terrible idea! People who are actually gonna to use such a terrible device will still get their hands on one and then no one would be able to defend themselves. Also, the U.S. can be trusted with nuclear power maybe not with trump but he’ll be gone anyways while many countries would abuse the power.

      Because Iran is unstable. The USA, Israel, France, UK, Russia, India and China are not very likely to use them as they are moderately to very stable. Can’t really say the same for North Korea, Iran, or Pakistan. Also, nuclear weapons actually prevent us from going to war. Countries usually don’t want to fight other countries who have nukes. Hell, nukes are what prevented the Cold War from escalating.

The EU had every right to be pissed because they knew how harmful Trump’s decision was regarding this matter. I’m half Iranian, and I have a huge problem looking at America not taking this matter seriously. Of course Iran has done bad things, but didn’t mean we had to sabotage a deal that the world negotiated years for. It’s embarrassing.

    I think nations should be allowed to develop nuclear energy, but nuclear weapons are a whole 'nother ballpark. Yes, nukes dissuade other countries from attacking, but that's only if they're just there for show, so to speak. Iran seemed to want to go the way of North Korea, that's when nuclear development is dangerous.
    Stuxnet is a really gray area. On one hand it was the start of cyberweapons, on another hand it was made literally to stop some mad person from getting nukes.

    I thought it would be funny if I created a sort of virus, put it on a cheap usb, and plug it into a school computer. The virus would simply go to a random online game store and download every free game on the store, then repeat. I thought “oh, it will just confuse the school for a bit.” It turns out the code I copied and pasted included a bit I didn’t catch where it would also jump to all the contacts the computer had. I destroyed the entire school computer system, along with some of the smart boards and teacher computers. I found this out when they held an assembly asking who had done it. They never caught me and I did it in sixth grade so they were still searching when I left. The estimated damage was worth about $20K
