Pro tip: When using a hole saw in fiberglass, plastic, or similar, run the drill in reverse first. That will prevent any splintering or tearing before you start cutting into the material in the forward direction. Great job on the install!
That's a good tip! There was a whole battery/drill fiasco when I moved to the exterior to drill. So, I didn't even think about it until it was too late. Luckily everything turned out just fine. Thanks for watching! 😊
Thanks for this video. I am going to be adding a washer and dryer to my Reflection and the dealer was wanting $700 to install. I'll definitely be doing this one myself.
When I designed and built my houseboat I ran the vent straight down through floor using a rectangular adapter to the 4” vent. No hose to collect lint and a narrow slot opening.
Thank you so much!!! We have been wanting to install our dryer vent ourselves after getting a $500+ quote, but same here, scared of drilling the hole to the outside. I showed my hubby and he saw how easy it was and he is a lot more comfortable with the process! Super helpful and can’t wait to see more videos 🤙🏼🫶🏼
was looking around for a washer dryer install for GD 375RES and came across you guys . loved your channel , we also loved the old configuration on this model . when we ordered our 2022 375res we thought we where getting the washer / dryer on the right and big closet on the left. well when we went to pick up our RV low and behold we saw the change . we did have the washer and dryer installed at dealer ship before we pick it up , make long story short my washer and dryer collapsed at bottom and will be removing it and rework the bottom make stronger and replace units . thanks for your video I know what's going on behind them Thanks TOM & KELLY
We are about to install a washer and dryer in our RV. This video was very helpful!! I was wondering about the plug ins for the washer and dryer though. Am I able to get the regular three prong (think that’s maybe a 110??) for them!???? Where do I get those??
I have the exact same set-up and your video may have been all I needed to get a vented dryer. Thanks a bunch!! What model number washer/dryer did you get?
Great video..just what i was looking for. A few questions though, you bolted the washer / dryer together and the washer in the FRONT to the floor. What stops the one piece unit from now tipping forward. I would think an L-bracket on the top front might be needed.... (p.s. this is Bruce on my wife's account ) Also i would have thought you would have used stainless mesh water hoses for the washer instead of just rubber. How will you now winterize the washer ?
Thanks for watching! We haven't had an issue with it being secured to the floor in the front. I did the same in our last rig, which was a toyhauler with the hookups in the garage in the back, which can be VERY bouncy back there. We've drove from Maryland to California and never had an issue with it tipping. It will be a much smoother ride with it being in the front/over our truck. So, I'm not really concerned that it will tip, and if it does, the closet door will keep it from.tipping completely over. We full-time and have only ever had to winterize once because our last RV had to get serviced in the winter . When I did it, I disconnected the water and blew out the lines with air. When it was time to do the washer, I turned the washer on, set it to warm water so it would try to fill both cold and hot water and started it while under pressure from my air compressor. When the washer tried to fill, it blew the little bit of water out of the lines until it was just air. Then, I drained what little bit of water went into the washer. Hope this makes sense!
Could you let me know where you got your washer and dryer units? We’re looking for some for our fifth wheel and we’re not seeing anything below $2400 for Splendide machines. Thanks for your help.

Masking tape isn't a bad idea either.
I know this is a year old, but I wanted to say thanks for the info. Getting ready to install mine this weekend. I appreciate the help.

"I'm gonna puck," that is how i feel about it as we are about to start this project

Thank you SO much! I had no idea how we were supposed to vent the dryer when I saw that sticker!
Thanks for taking the time to put this together!
No problem! Thanks for watching!

Great job no fear! Do you remeber the diameter of the hole you drilled in the trailer wall? I'm thinking of switching my cheap vent to this one.
Wow!! That was awesome!!
Thanks for watching!
Good information. Thank you for sharing this. We are preparing to do the same thing in our rv.
I just found you ! Where are you now? I don’t see any recent videos . ❤
Great video thank you
Excellent video

I would like to know also. I want one for my RV.

Also, the dryer only weighs 1/3 of what the washer weighs, so it's not very top heavy. Glad the video helped you out!
good job
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
I like it nice job.
Is the washer mounted to the floor?
what are the model numbers for those?
Who’s the goofball that brought the battery😂
Ha! 🤔 just some random guy! 🤣😉

I was quoted $2500 from a local Rv place, then I went to camping world and got the same Splendide washer and dryer for $1700.
Home Depot online has compact washers and dryers and the device to attach them to each other for around 1500.00.
Our RV place quoted $3,200, ya…right. Nope!
