very good instructions, I repaired my notebook following these instructions and saved 300 euros. The replacement part cost 51 euros, the repair at the service center would have cost 350 according to an offer. For 10 minutes of work!
Thank you, the black tape behind the led look hidden for me, I thought it was metal, until I try to pull it, it works flawless, kind of afraid it's gonna snap in the middle, the tape very strong Laptop type is IdeaPad 1 14AMN7 82VF
Thanks. I have the same laptop with a TN matrix (N140HGA-EA1). I ordered an IPS-ADS matrix (NV140FHM-N4C). I will change it myself. On my matrix, the interface type is eDP1.2. On the new matrix eDP1.3. I found on the forum that both interfaces are interchangeable.
Hi, my laptop same model has been gradually appearing vertical violet lines could it be a connectivity issue or do i need to replace the screen entirely?

Great video sir! I am wondering if it is possible to change from TN screen to IPS screen? I really like mine with i5 + Nvidia MX Graphic, but the only downside is the TN screen. Some online shop are selling it but I am afraid if the seller does not know the difference between TN and IPS.
For the sake of 10 minutes, disconnect the battery. The fuze blows by just looking at it. Your method to power down does not remove the power from the display backlight circuit, so my fuze got blown. Otherwise, good video.
Hi, I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14ADA05 81W0 with a broken TN HD display. Can I replace/upgrade it with a IPS FHD display? My laptop has the AMD Athlon Gold 3150U
@@rickstechrepairs Damn it, I just cancelled one for a TN HD panel because the seller says I can't. Well, I'm gonna have to wait for that upgrade. And may I ask one more thing? I've seen the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14 does come with a larger 45Wh (11.34V) battery instead of the smaller 30Wh (7.6V) battery. Can I swap the smaller one with a larger one?

i would usually expect eDP1.3 to also support earlier versions
May I know the update for that laptop?
Hi i am same laptop, i am in United Kingdom Manchester... Where can I get the panel from with similar specs?
I did this without disconnecting the battery and have blown backlight fuse. How come yours didn’t blow fuse?
Thank you soo much! You literally saved me 🙏🏻
Glad I could help!
This was really helpful. Thanks mate.
your welcome :)

Changing panel should be possible, if you wanted to get fancy you could try a 144hz panel

that can be done
I think I having this problem, the screen is not lighting up at all but I can tell it is connected. Where is this fuze located?
@@d.chaney8615 it is the motherboard very close to the screen connector. Marked FG3301.
Do you know where the fuse is? How will I recognize her?
You are supposed to disconnect the battery first to prevent backlight problem. 75% of the case will result in backlight problem
true, personally yet to have an issue aslong as the device is powered off

TN / IPS / VA Panels would all work.
aslong as you use the same 30Pin or 40Pin eDP connection
regarding the battery open it up and see if the laptop has enough space

would it perhabs be possible to upgrade the screen to a better OLED or LED variant?
I don't think so. You could possibly get a higher resolution screen,
If you have a 720p display, you could upgrade to 1080
