Highly recommend Abraham hicks on the subject of autism. How it is a decision made from non physical to be “untrainable” away from Source perspective for the benefit of teaching the laws of the universe. Great stuff!
My teacher is autistic like me - he is very far along the awakened path - so it's not an obstacle. I also believe my Buddhist practice has saved my life & helped immensely with living with ASD. This video is logical & informative - it also fits my personal experience of awakening - which has at time been like riding a bull. But patience - it does work!
ADHD (diagnosed) and probably Autistic (self diagnosed) I hadn’t meditated for over 10 year, started meditating again and had an initial awakening after 20 minutes sitting. Still can’t get my flippin laundry done though or answer a phone call!
So true about the dopamine hits, and I’ve never heard anyone else talk about it this way before. It feels like the past ~2 years my system has naturally been weaning off the “dopamine hits” until everything was the same taste. And I also totally took a nap/rest after every “insight” b/c the body mind needed to adjust.
Hi Sarah - The intersection between awakening and neurodiversity is an incredibly important conversation. Thank you for trusting yourself to light this flame.
Hi Sarah- I appreciate your insight on our need to take some down time during various phases of our awakening. In the lived awakening experience, those parts of iSelf that was buried, or masked; deemed to divergent from the populace, have re-emerged in some beautiful ways. In order for the re-emergence to occur, I’ve allowed myself some down time as you so aptly stated and encouraged. Yet, I remember I carried around a certain level of guilt during those periods of integration down time. I didn’t understand that it was normal for me to rest and allow for a fuller adaptation, integration to unfold. But I did rest, simply because I absolutely needed to. There was no other choice. I also appreciate how you have noticed as a group a tendency to remain fixed or at times rigid in our thinking. That was me until the awakening, and layer by layer that rigidity has fallen away. Paradox has been a saving grace. The ability to sit in it all/all is welcomed has been like sips of cool spring water and a hot summers day. On some level I wish our paths had crossed a few years ago and learned some ways of working with this awakening. Yeah, knowing about how to work with this would have been helpful, yet there has been an elegance to the ways in which life itself has supported this unfoldment. It’s all welcomed. Thank you for this.
I am so glad we finally crossed paths, my dear. It’s been a joy to work with you and know you. And what you describe here is indeed the elegance and intelligence of your own being guiding you through this awakening process. No guilt for downtime and rest! Neurodivergent burnout is a thing. And also awakening burnout is a thing so… You have permission to tend to your being. xo
Hello! I had been meditating for over 8 years to combat anxiety and depression only to be diagnosed this year that I am an gifted and AuDHD. Right before my diagnosis I took my practice up a notch by adding in binaural beat meditation, my favorite being The Triad Mind. But I realized that sometimes I would be mentally exhausted after a session and now thanks to your video I now know why :-) I had never even thought about the fact that I could reach a spiritual awakening too! Either way thanks for the video!
Yeah, sometimes binaural beats can be overstimulating. There are some good solfeggio frequency music tracks on this platform. That might be a better choice. And of course, sitting meditation where you’re simply resting with your breath is always a good way to go!
Diagnosed Asperger's at age 40 (I'm 46 now). Had my first notable spiritually transformative experience the morning the Mayan calendar "ended" in 2012 after having a shared death experience when my mum crossed over. Had another shared death experience in January 2022 followed by a Kundalini awakening, and then a near-death-like experience in May of this year lol. My soul has been busy busy! 😅
Thank you,i have Bi Polar and i am on the spiritual path( no path:) for 2 years now and i never heard somebody talk about mental disorders and awakening, it is needed.
Hi there, I’m glad you found my channel. I honestly don’t know a lot about bipolar, but you will find content here on neurodivergence and spirituality. Stick around for more videos. I hope they will be helpful to you on your pathless path! 💛
I’m gonna end up just like you. I believe we go through a few awakenings in our lifetime. I have been thru one or two, and every day I pray and meditate and connect to source. I was diagnosed with adhd at 6. Tbh since I’m also a woman, I feel my autistic diagnosis is hiding under wraps. I was even able to become a nurse but lost it after a mental breakdown where I took three different bottles of meds on the job. Went to jail too. It’s changed my life for the better tho bc mentally and emotionally I could Not take being a nurse in a level one trauma hospital. My issue is Medicaid. It’s hard to get a behavior health who can diagnosis me with autism. But I have every single symptom in the book. Down to the socializing and being extremely emotionally sensitive/ overstimulated constantly. High functioning just gets swept under the rug. I hope to get a proper diagnosis one day.
Hi, working in a level one trauma hospital sounds very stressful. I’m sorry it got so hard for you. As you know, self diagnosis is totally valid. And deeply knowing ourselves is part of the awakening path so you are right on track. And yes, awakening does tend to come in stages. I have another video on here where I share about the various awakenings that I underwent. I’m glad you’re here! 💛
I watch all of this video and went back to your spiritual awakening story video before commenting. You gave accounts of numerous transcendental experiences and my question are related to how they applied to and integrated with practical living outside of meditation. Like how were you before an experience? what are some of the things you did differently afterwards? I feel like there was enough information to track the impactful experiences but no information to correlate them with your path of development. Thanks in advance.
Thank you I appreciate that. I think I tend to want to shorten the description of these pivotal moments on my path, but I know it is instructional to talk about my day to day life experiences before and after. Because my life is utterly different than it was before these realizations. I will be doing a video or two about that. Thanks again.
This is so helpful and I think it goes some way to explaining why the body-mind system of a HSP might be more reticent to surrendering and letting go into true nature? ❤
Yeah, I think so. I mean as highly sensitive people we have been adapting and protecting in certain ways for a very long time. Spiritual awakening brings a softening of defenses. Which seems to be why, when one starts to work with softening overall, true nature can shine through. And for highly sensitive people it’s right there. The veils are thin. 💛
@@SarahTaylor-LightOfYourBeingyeah, I'm hsp and introverted intuitive, 80 years old, and the DEPTHS I experience now as I awaken are intense! overwhelming and disorienting and yes, I seem to becoming clairvoyant or something, seeing auras and these light shows without even trying, and in general seeing through this glittering field of light, it's been rough, it really has..I'm so grateful you're speaking about this, it's incredibly meaningful, thank you ✌️💐
Hello! I have found that it’s so important after deep spiritual openings to engage the body in practices like walking or swimming; gentle yoga and even weightlifting if you can during this time. We are meant to be fully here in these bodies, as spirit incarnate. I wish you well and I hope you’ll stick around for more videos! 💛

That's really good, yes! Resting is key. Our systems are doing a software update after such insights! ;)

Yeah I’m in burnout now, was really bad for a couple months. I awakened in April and it was really intense. This video is great thank you.
Didn’t fully know I was autistic until after and it’s been a mind bending experience and realization. 35 years old.
It can be mind bending! xo
