Saw the sad news about Randy Meisner passing today, (what a talented artist he was), and meantime saw a story that Timothy Schmit had passed. I’ve sat here in tears listening to his songs with Eagles. “I can’t tell you why” has always been my favorite, but there was never a bad one. Then my son tells me it is a hoax. Thank God! I am am absolutely not ready to lose this beautiful person!
Timothy B. Schmit played a huge part of any band or solo music he has been a part of. His solos or harmonies are perfect and the lyrics of his songs he has written are beautiful and touching. Henley and Frey get much of the credit for the EAGLES success, but Randy MEISNER, TIMOTHY B. Schmit, Don FELDER, Joe WALSH and the other talents that played along side them ALL made that band what they became, and without the entire talents within the band made them, THE EAGLES, and they all deserve the credit for the greatness the EAGLES achieved. There is a certain "magic" that comes together with a certain group of people and the personalities that make up a band. It always saddens me when someone or two members wants to take the credit for the success of a band's successes or failures. Bands always bring magic to our lives. It will always be so. Let the music work it's magic and don't try steal the credit that everyone deserves a little part the credit for.

I lost a mom and brother who took his life and I dedicated this song to them.Its deep and Timothy client be a better person to sing it with such a gentle approach to his life angelic soul, always have seen him like that the peacemaker.Bewutiful soul Tim

The last song she ever sang her hands were raised in the air praising the Lord she just came off a respirator singing. That does not happen. If it is a gift u have it forever even at death. I started loving the music of POCO back in 1967-68 when I was in college, especially Timothy's renown voice that we have all gotten to know. In my mind, one of the most awesome, if not the best, of any talented singers to hit the folk music scene. His voice is one of a kind that I feel will live on forever. Best thing about Tim is that he is so humble and down to earth regarding his talent; what a great human being and such a beautiful gift he has give the world with this singing. I can listen to his songs day in and day out and never get bored;; he is truly a pleasure to listen to.

Followed Tim's career from early on, even before Poco. He only gets better with age, would have loved to see a concert with Timothy B. Schmit and Dan Fogelberg together on the same stage and set. Their vocals would have meshed together like a band of angels.

Hello Mary Scott. We too love the Eagles, and Timothy and Joe and Don Felder and Don Henley And Glen. Whats great about the Eagles music is that new generations are coming through and hearing these time less songs and love their music. Their music takes me back to a time when life was uncomplicated and the Eagles soared .. They are much loved here in NZ. Even Joe had an ephithany here which led to his abstaining from alcohol and drugs to this day..
One day I was making glasses at a TSO north of Houston, and the radio station I was listening to was interviewing Timothy B., I walked over to the phone and dialed the number, and you know how it's always usually busy when you try to call the shows like that on the radio, well it started ringing and Timothy answered. I didn't really even have a question for him but I said' Well , why did you leave Poco? " already knowing the answer, but he was joking with me about it and signed a photograph and mailed it to me. Have it hanging on the wall at work. Been a fan of Timothy since the Poco days.
