Nice selection of supplies. One thing that works for me when traveling is, I pre-stamp on different papers and bring them along instead of stamps and ink … less bulky. Have fun on your trip!

I have a clear bag I take to go see my grandkids. I bring that because if we go to a semi-pro baseball game, that's all I can take in the stadium. When I travel, it gets filled with my junk journal supplies, and I can see everything that's in there. If I need to use it, I dump the supplies into my suitcase temporarily. Works great for me.

How fun love that bag. I too made a Journal for my trip, and I made one for my soon to be daughter-in-law. We went to Peru to the sacred valley where Cusco in Machu Picchu is. We were so busy and came home so tired every night we never had a chance to get into our journals. My travel bag was a series of Ziploc baggies very similar to your supplies with lots of goodies that just went for the ride and never got used. 😁
What a fantastic trip! Peru is on my bucket list. My oldest granddaughters paternal grandparents live near Lima and we miss them so much. How amazing you were in Machu Picchu! Wow! Even though you didn't get a chance to use your journal supplies on your trip better safe than sorry, hehehe. Hope you get a chance to document your wonderful trip.

I'm a Bible study gal, and for whatever reason I started seeing recommended videos for "junk journals". Someone, please.... what is a junk journal? I only clicked on this video because of the bag. I am planning to start taking some short two to three day trips and I want something that will accommodate my Bible and my study tools that also won't drag me down. So I figured that while I was here, perhaps someone would be kind enough to tell me what this trend is? Thank you in advance for your help.
Welcome and Thank you for stopping by! A junk journal, in a nutshell, is a handmade journal/book made up mainly from things that would typically be discarded however, newer items can also be used. A junk journaler typically reuses things like old papers, magazine pages, old books, scrapbook papers, wrapping paper, packaging, digital printables, junk mail, etc. to create a journal. We bind it ourselves using different techniques. These junk journals can be used for memory keeping, daily journaling, travel journaling, documenting similar to scrapbooking and as a planner. There is not wrong way of creating a junk journal. It is a creative outlet and mainly focused on repurposing "junky" paper goods or textiles in new ways. I hope you found this helpful. I have a case to travel with to make journals or ephemera, basically mass makes to work on. I never thought about taking a finished journal.😂

You need foam under cardstock when using clear blocks for the best image.
This is the first time I’ve used fun foam with clear stamps. I’ve never needed it before.

Hi there. Try this to see if it helps your stamps work. I have found that this helps when I first use them and the image isn’t complete when stamped. Prime the stamp: Before adding ink, you can prime the stamp by rubbing it with a white eraser or the oils of your skin to help the ink stick. You can also season the stamp by inking it on a stamp pad and stamping it off a few times. Good luck!
Thanks for the tip! I have primed my stamps. These, however, were not cut or molded properly and are uneven on the backs (the flat side of the stamp) which prevent an even stamp. I found that by using the fun foam it provided just enough cushion to even out the stamped image. I appreciate you sharing your tips with us! :)
Great product but, is it available with a shoulder strap? Would be great if it could be carried hands free! Just thinking.
This one does not have a shoulder strap. I specifically searched for a travel case without a shoulder strap since I already wear a small cross body bag and this case will go into my tote. I did see a different one with shoulder strap that looked pretty cool, too.
There’s one by STM, scribbles that matter, on Amazon with a shoulder strap. Comes in several colors, too. I have the yellow 😊
