So what about the signatures in this absolutely gorgeous journal?? Are they digitals and what kind of paper? The texture looks coffee dyed, but these look way better than any I have seen. Do you have a video on making them? Too many questions? 😆
It is a mix of digitals and coffee dyed but I made this over a year ago so the only digitals I remember are the ones from The Journal Boat on Etsy. I'm glad you like them. I don't have a video unfortunately. I was doing an in-person class and wanted to illustrate the binding in of the signatures. It has sat there since then...now it is loved once again!
As a newbie to JJ & your channel, I love how easy you are to follow.

Wow! I absolutely enjoyed watching your video and now intend to binge watch your channel! I am new to Junk Journaling, although I have been a very avid crafter for 40+ years. For quite a while, I was very involved with scrapbooking. I see now that my style was more like the Junk Journal (which I didn't even know was a thing!) Now I have a new purpose for my supplies of paper, stamps, stickers, punches, inks, and the list goes on! Thank you so much for the inspiration!

Love your journal, just love the flip down pockets they look really good on a page. Do you love blue & brown tones in junk journals? they go well together. Love all these ideas, thank you for teaching us to be creative. xx
I do love blue and browns. My favorite combination is teal blue and copper or rust. Something just draws me in to that combination.

This video was quite inspiring. And I love the 30 minute time frame. I don't have a lot of time to watch videos so I find myself searching for the 10 ,15 or 30 minute videos to enjoy while I'm having a cup of coffee in the morning or on my lunch break at work. Short format works best for me. Anyway, this was a great video for me, both in the time frame and, most importantly, the inspiration you shared. Thank you!

I feel the same about shorter videos. I found out that if you touch the little gear icon at the top of the page it gives you the option to play the video up to two times faster, thus you can watch longer videos in a shorter time!

I would like to see more and bigger writing space. And easier writing areas. The flipping up and down writing off the book would be very hard to write on.

Hi DJ, 😊, I have been wanting to start my first journal but didn’t really know where to begin. Choosing the themes of ‘blue’ and ‘floral’ gives me a good foundation to start. It is also ‘general’ enough that I should be able to find enough papers to make both the journal and ephemera. I LOVE ❤ your five pages and how simple they are to achieve. However, I know it will take me all day to choose papers and make the goodies, not just 30 minutes! 😂 Have a great day and thanks for sharing. 😊

Im so pleased to find you making a journal of blues! Ive been collecting things for an "altered book" blue Chinoiserie themed journal for myself and maybe a second if there are enough materials left over.
I have painted several chinoiserie designs from ancient books photos and am always watching for asian style paper to include. You have given me many useful ideas! I also found a book with a navy blue cloth cover and a very wide spine that I'll use. Im watching for ideas on painting a small floral design on the cover and preserving the cover as best I can.
