I checked your Etsy Shop, but didn't see any of these Lush Junk Journal Supply Kit. I'd LOVE to get my hands on one of these Epic Kits! It'd be a Christmas Gift for both My Mom & My 22-Year Old Daughter! All three of us love to get together at least two-to-three times a week & create together! It's definitely become all of our All-Time Favorite Times of The Month! There's just something about being able to sit down with both My Mom & Daughter & work together to create fun paper-Crafting Projects! We've been doing this for close to three years now... & We've created Several Cards, Christmas Ornaments, Planners, Writting Journals & Even created Two different BEAUTIFUL Junk Journals... As A Collaborative Effort! EVERYTHING we've created together... We've taken to Nursing Homes & Gifted the Projects to some of The SWEETEST older Ladies! ●You would've thought we gifted themba MILLION DOLLARS with the way they reacted!!! They just couldn't believe that ANYONE thought of them enough to handmake ANYTHING for them... MUCH LESS something that they could actually use to write down Old Stores & Special Memories that they wanted others in their Family to remember! Just a few weeks ago, Mom, My Daughter & I went by "Gaston Place" just to go check on our New Friends. We took some sweet little handmade packets to gift them; Which had things inside like Hot Coaco, Tea, Peppermints & a few other Special Things we knew they's truly appreciate; & Especially things that'd make them smile!!! After giving all but one of our Special Gifts away; We went to look for Geraldine Button... She was a Super-Sweet Lady who reminded me of mt Very Own Grandmother!!! We walked into her Room & my HEART DROPPED because the wall inwhich she always hung all of her Most Loved & Cherished Things (To include things we'd gifted het; Aling with a Polaroid Picture one of The Nurses has snapped of her with My Mom, My Daughter & Me! ●●● NOT ONLY WAS THAT NO LONGER hanging on the wall, but the entire wall was completely blank!!! Deep Down, I felt like I knew what'd happened, but I didn't Date say anything to my Mom or Young Daughter! I went to the Nurse's Station to ask whete Miss Geraldine was... & The look on her face told me Everything! *BUT* The Nurse asked me to go get My Mom & Daughter real quick (Which I did) & we followed the Nurse into a room we'd never been inside of. We walked inside & the Nurse shut the door. I was immediately confused.. Until I noticed a young lady sitting in the chair in the corner! She literally looked like a much younger version of Miss Geraldine! She had a lap full of different things; One being a pretty little box, Covered with Lace. I sat next to her & introduced myself, but before I could even say my name; The Lady looked me dead in the eyes & said, "I know who you are. I know who all three of you are... She called me by name; Pointed to my Mom & then My Daughter & spoke our names. It wasn't until she opened the Box (It was a large shoebox that someone had covered with Beautiful Paper & Lace. She pulled out Every single Gift we'd ever give Miss Geraldine. She pulled the 1st Junk Journal we gifted Miss Geraldine out & opened it. She attempted to start reading what all Her Grandmother had Writting inside, but she chocked up & could'nt continue. She handed me the Book & I made sure she was wanting me to read wgat I saw written inside. ALL FOUR OF US WERE IN TEARS AS I READ THE PRECIOUS WORDS MISS GERALDINE HAD WRITTIN IN THE HANDMADE JOURNAL WE'D MADE & GIFTED HER! Her Granddaughter asked if we wanted to take it back with us. My Mom chimed in & said ABSOLUTELY NOT! That is all Your's! I'd NEVER be able to text you ANY of The PRECIOUS WORDS SHECREAD; AS I KNOW MY TEARS WOULD KEEP ME FROM BEING ABLE TO SEE TO TEXT! It truly touched my heart!!! One of my favorite things to use is to recycle packaging into mybJournals! I've even surprised myself at just how Beautiful some of the things (Like Shakers) We were able to create just by using Empty Packaging!!! I'll NEVER forget that day!!!
My favorite part of my junk journaling adventure is making snippit rolls with my paper, fabric, lace and scraps of anything else I can find. I just watched your casita video and fell in love with the darling little houses. Thank you for your contribution to our community.
My favorite would be old books with different fonts. I love the gothic font and have never found a book with that font. I also love books written in different languages. Thanks for sharing your art with us!
Oh! There's a drawing, too! My favorite junky junk item so far, with my journal-and-a-half under my belt, is doilies! I've been using them in my card making for several years...even fabric ones that I find in thrift stores. The paper ones can be stamped on, too, and I'm loving that effect. 1 a.m., September 6, 2023. I love paper crafting. I'm 71 and just discovered junk journals. Working on learning enough to make my first one. I have plenty of junk to put in several! My favorite place to find things to use is bags, rappers, and anything else with restaurant logos on them. I've got a ton of things like that, some even from fast food places 😊

I love junk mail with window envelopes, and parchment paper,and tea or avocado dying them. The texture and color. Awesome. Bits and pieces of my silk flowers. So many supplies ar hand.❤️
I love using charms and decoupaged wooden shapes, and small pictures to personalize the journals. I also like using die cuts that I have precut and colored.♥️Thank you!
I think my favorite junky item is wrapping paper. I save the paper from birthdays and holidays, line it with book pages, and sew it into envelopes. Fun, easy, and a great way to repurpose trash 😊

I love to repurpose tags of any kind. I cover them with old book pages, Washi tape, die cuts, stamps…anything. I think they make you want to lift them out and read them 😊

My favorite junky-junk is to use scripture verses - handwritten, found anywhere and to tuck somewhere (like hiding His word in our hearts). I love using old atlas pages and ledger paper too!

I find folding the flap down helps with durability too. My favorite things to use in junk journaling are vintage ephemera, vintage floral and/or butterfly prints, and all types of vintage and modern papers! I love to use junk mail envelopes because you can do so many different things with them. Thank you for the video on embossing the ones with windows, I tried making those last week. So much fun. When I discovered Junk Journaling like a year ago....I felt the EXACT same way as you. Like all the “Junk” I’d been saving & collecting for so long finally had a purpose....a way I could incorporate my love for it all in various ways and together all at once if I wanted too. I wondered how it had been around for so long and I had no clue about it, like where have you been all my life?! Lol 😆 But God’s timing is not always in like with our own and he allowed me to “stumble upon it” and a time in my life when I needed it the most and I’m so glad I did! ❤ Anyways...Your kits are too cute! I also have an entire portion of my stash set aside to create kits to share & sell on eBay &/or Etsy (still debating opening a shop). If I had to chose one item that I like to use....mmmmi just don’t know if I can choose JUST ONE! I like to tear apart cardboard boxes I get from orders in the mail and use part of the corrugated bits in my clusters. Speaking of clusters, I also love using snippets of Tulle in my clusters too...most of which I purchase at thrift stores. But I’d probably have to go with my book/music/magazine pages from Vintage & Antique books. Various unique texts, fonts, and foreign languages (which I have no idea what they say lol) combined with gorgeous graphics and/or hand drawn illustrations....all on a different types of papers which all have varied hues in the vintage rainbow. Hahaha 😆 They’re just so lovely and so much fun to play with. That being said, I have a SURPLUS of pages I need to use up! So, if you’re up for it, would love to see some videos on how you utilize your book pages. It’s likely that you’ve already done some, I’m rather new to your channel so I’m not sure...but hey it doesn’t hurt to do a few more 😉 Or perhaps share some new ideas or ways to use them up that you haven’t shared before. I’m here for it! 😊 Oh btw...in the video you said you were almost at 9K, but at the time I’m watching this you’re LESS THAN 200 away from 9,500!! 🙌🏼 That’s incredible! You’ll be at 10k in no time! Your kits are so cute! They’re also sold out. 😢 It’s super hard to pick a favorite item that I love to use, but currently I’m a little obsessed with journal “jewelry.” I’ve been making beads, and charms, and fiber-filled dangles. But I love making envelopes and curating interesting images from everywhere. My style is so eclectic, pretty much anything I think is beautiful or interesting goes into my works. I also love textiles of every sort. Repurposing things makes me giddy!

I love to use cereal and pizza boxes in my junk journals as they have so many uses. I am a lover of recycled fabrics as I use a lot of them to make bags, cushion covers and even some clothing so i have lots of fabric scraps that I also love to use. Oh! There's a drawing, too! My favorite junky junk item so far, with my journal-and-a-half under my belt, is doilies! I've been using them in my card making for several years...even fabric ones that I find in thrift stores. The paper ones can be stamped on, too, and I'm loving that effect. 1 a.m., September 6, 2023. I love paper crafting. I'm 71 and just discovered junk journals. Working on learning enough to make my first one. I have plenty of junk to put in several! My favorite place to find things to use is bags, rappers, and anything else with restaurant logos on them. I've got a ton of things like that, some even from fast food places 😊

I find folding the flap down helps with durability too. My favorite things to use in junk journaling are vintage ephemera, vintage floral and/or butterfly prints, and all types of vintage and modern papers! I recently found a box of my great grandmother's lace edged hankies. It was packed away in my mother's stuff since she moved over 50 years ago!!! I fell in love with your little houses - they are so cute and unique! This is my first time commenting after I subscribed. I love to use junk mail envelopes because you can do so many different things with them. Thank you for the video on embossing the ones with windows, I tried making those last week. So much fun. It was the first time I ever put ink on an embossing folder. Working on my first little golden book journal. Thanks for sharing yours, I've used some of the same things in mine. When I discovered Junk Journaling like a year ago....I felt the EXACT same way as you. Like all the “Junk” I’d been saving & collecting for so long finally had a purpose....a way I could incorporate my love for it all in various ways and together all at once if I wanted too. I wondered how it had been around for so long and I had no clue about it, like where have you been all my life?! Lol 😆 But God’s timing is not always in like with our own and he allowed me to “stumble upon it” and a time in my life when I needed it the most and I’m so glad I did! ❤ Anyways...Your kits are too cute! I also have an entire portion of my stash set aside to create kits to share & sell on eBay &/or Etsy (still debating opening a shop). If I had to chose one item that I like to use....mmmmi just don’t know if I can choose JUST ONE! I like to tear apart cardboard boxes I get from orders in the mail and use part of the corrugated bits in my clusters. Speaking of clusters, I also love using snippets of Tulle in my clusters too...most of which I purchase at thrift stores. But I’d probably have to go with my book/music/magazine pages from Vintage & Antique books. Various unique texts, fonts, and foreign languages (which I have no idea what they say lol) combined with gorgeous graphics and/or hand drawn illustrations....all on a different types of papers which all have varied hues in the vintage rainbow. Hahaha 😆 They’re just so lovely and so much fun to play with. That being said, I have a SURPLUS of pages I need to use up! So, if you’re up for it, would love to see some videos on how you utilize your book pages. It’s likely that you’ve already done some, I’m rather new to your channel so I’m not sure...but hey it doesn’t hurt to do a few more 😉 Or perhaps share some new ideas or ways to use them up that you haven’t shared before. I’m here for it! 😊 Oh btw...in the video you said you were almost at 9K, but at the time I’m watching this you’re LESS THAN 200 away from 9,500!! 🙌🏼 That’s incredible! You’ll be at 10k in no time! I am a lover of recycled fabrics as I use a lot of them to make bags, cushion covers and even some clothing so i have lots of fabric scraps that I also love to use. I love adding old vintage letters to my junk journals as people don’t write them much anymore. So sad, to lose this form of communication!
I agree. But journaling in the form of a letter to yourself would be a great addition to our journals, too.
