I visited Kai Mara noodles today around 2pm. Chicken was sold out and only feet left, but I asked to have the pork toppings in the soup that normally goes with chicken. Delicious! First time having this sweet kind of soup, would recommend as well!

I’m a tad bias because I’m Vietnamese, but I would highly recommend Vietnam. I’ve been living in the states for the past 45 years and never had a desire to go when I was younger. Then I watched the Anthony Bourdain/Obama video and I decided to book my first trip in 2017. I’ve been back four times since then. It’s a beautiful country and the food and coffee scene is amazing. No matter where you decide to go though, I look forward to seeing that particular country through your creative lens.
@@FloraandNote I would start off in Hanoi (see Water Puppet Show, people watch at Hoan Kiem, have a cafe sua da on Train street) then go to either Sapa, Ninh Binh, and/or Ha Long Bay. Then head to the beach town of Danang and then go to Hoi An from there. It’s definitely touristy, but it’s very photogenic and charming. I usually head to Saigon (HCM) from there. Check out suitcase monkey’s video on Vietnam and/or Int Affair’s videos on Vietnam. If you do happen to go and need food recommendations, let me know. If you have time, Dalat is a lovely town near the mountains, so it’s a lot cooler than most of Vietnam.
So many things to do and see in Vietnam. I loved it there, esp the northern parts Hoi An, Hanoi , and my favorite ...Sapa. ... but of all the places you listed I have not been to Sri Lanka and would love to see there. Loved the video!

That's amazing! We recommend checking out some of our favourite beaches (Silver Beach, Ban Tai Beach and Chaweng Beach), visit some cafes (Lay Lagom, CoCo Tam), restaurants (The Fish), local Tuesday Market at Nathon Pier and book a day trip to Ang Thong National Park.

Hey there....those noodles.....yummy! I would suggest Myanmar if its open to international traveller. Yangon being the gateway one can spend a night the most and leave for places like, Mandalay, Bagan, Inle Lake and if you can travel to the north do it. I hope this helps.

@@FloraandNote I was there in the early 80s in Angeles city before Mt Ararat Exploded. I'm sure everything has changed a lot since then. Most of the people are super friendly and willing to help you out. But it was a very poor country. So there were areas that you just didn't go to. It had a criminal element in areas. But like anyplace you have to pay attention to your surroundings ECT . It was a beautiful country and lots of hand made crafts ECT. The food was amazing. The people were generally amazing.
Bali or Vietnam........I have been to Bali and love that place especially Balinese culture, wood carving, painting and so on. You will have a lot to do in Bali with your work.
@@FloraandNote I stayed in Kuta and Nusa Dua (beach) area. At that time I like Nusa Dua beach area better and the hotel is Grand Hyatt Bali (Holiday Inn in Nusa Dua also not bad). Bali these days has so many types/choices of hotels to fit your budget just like in Thailand, I heard some place in the mountain also very nice but make sure to explore the Hindu temples by volcano and ocean, rice fields, handcrafted/painting and their culture. I like Bali a lot because the island has so much to offer in culture with Hinduism influenced just like Thailand with Buddhism influenced. You will not be disappointed if you decide to go there.

We flew into Hanoi and bused all the way to Ho Chi Minh City. In Hanoi it would be the French Quarter, Halong Bay overnight on a Junk. Awesome trip. Car and driver to see caves. At the south end a lovely time on Phu Quoc Island. The island wasn't developed for tourists so roads were hit and miss. We just did what the locals did, road motorbikes and got around easily enough. Beautiful country. This was in the mid 2000's.

We love Vietnamese food! We miss the full basket of fresh herbs they give you with every meal too. The Tom yum noodles reminded me of Bo Kho (Vietnamese braised beef and tomato noodles) 👍
Brilliant video guys. The food looked delicious. Check out Kota Kinabalu it's in Malaysian Borneo. The Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre is a must see and the Steam Train Ride through the jungle is amazing. I stayed at the Jesselton Hotel which is a restored colonial hotel from 1954 and there is a market right outside the front of the hotel every Sunday, it runs the length the entire of the street . The best food is at El Centro and they have pub quiz nights every Wednesday and other theme nights during the week. 🙏👍

We flew into Hanoi and bused all the way to Ho Chi Minh City. In Hanoi it would be the French Quarter, Halong Bay overnight on a Junk. Awesome trip. Car and driver to see caves. At the south end a lovely time on Phu Quoc Island. The island wasn't developed for tourists so roads were hit and miss. We just did what the locals did, road motorbikes and got around easily enough. Beautiful country. This was in the mid 2000's.
Go to Vietnam…Ho Chi MIn City and Dalat. Dalat has beautiful gardens and stay at the Dalat Edensee Lake Resort and Spa

We aren’t ready to leave Thailand for good 😅 I think we’ll take trips here and there.. but come back to explore more of Thailand. There’s still a lot to see!

We love Taiwan! That was our last international trip before all the craziness started in 2020.

We love Vietnamese food! We miss the full basket of fresh herbs they give you with every meal too. The Tom yum noodles reminded me of Bo Kho (Vietnamese braised beef and tomato noodles) 👍
Brilliant video guys. The food looked delicious. Check out Kota Kinabalu it's in Malaysian Borneo. The Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre is a must see and the Steam Train Ride through the jungle is amazing. I stayed at the Jesselton Hotel which is a restored colonial hotel from 1954 and there is a market right outside the front of the hotel every Sunday, it runs the length the entire of the street . The best food is at El Centro and they have pub quiz nights every Wednesday and other theme nights during the week. 🙏👍
