Jill McCluskey Yeah I agree. She doesn’t seem to take a very gentle approach. I know she knows what she’s talking about but people usually get on the defensive side when you act with this attitude she has. She should really take notes from Jackson Galaxy from My Cat From Hell. He is very firm in his beliefs but does his best to fully educate the people on WHY you should do it a certain way, not look down on them for being unaware for so long. Especially with rabbits, where more people than not probably assume they are outside animals who get put up in a hutch all day. I personally support Lorelei for being a bunny activist and trying to educate people, but she has got to work on being gentler. This could’ve been a much more entertaining video if it wasn’t so uncomfortable the entire time.
Lorelie: so are we tossing it? Mother: or we could re sell it Lorelie: or you could donate it Mother probbly thinking: im not gonna buy something and give it away for free
Honestly the girl was more mature than her own parents. The girl genuinely wanted a better environment and living space for her rabbit and props to her for that. I feel really bad that she has to deal with parents like that, who clearly don’t understand rabbits.
The daughter was so CLEARLY honest while the parents seemed like they were telling a fabricated story. It's like the parents were sugar coating how they rly were with the rabbit.
I love the idea behind this video, but I would suggest trying some different techniques for talking to people. For example, with the shedding; "if you run a brush through this it'll get all of this out and make sure she's comfy!" Is a much better way than saying "well it seems like she hasn't been brushed in awhile...". It's all about how you say it. Keep making rabbit lives better!!
Jade Hershey Well it’s true. If you say “just don’t run in the streets next time” and give a smile to a kid who ran into the streets... chances are they will do it again because they didn’t get discipline ...
I agree with you. I have a feeling that if the cameras weren't there she wouldn't be talking to them like that. I think she was trying to make it look worse than it was so people would want to watch, but that really wasn't necessary... they were a nice family and there was no reason to be so shady
Yes, this is what I am trying so hard to strive for on my channel, giving advice & education in a non judgmental way. I alway keep in mind, we were all beginners at some point. When you approach with tact & an open mind people are much more receptive. I like this channel but I do see the tone you are referring to. I also try to let people know bunny care doesn’t have to look the same for every family. Weather you free roam or use NIC condo, give 3 hrs or 10 hrs of exercise, feed pellets or not we are all watching because we love our bunnies and want to do better for them. My motto is share the bunny love! 🐰❤️
Lorelei, You’re a terrific person, who’s providing an excellent service to people free of charge. If other’s have a better way of doing things they should try doing this themselves. Please don’t take the negatives to heart, and keep doing in your own way for those of us who appreciate it! You and Lennon are adorable together!
I was thinking the same thing, this girl is only 13. She seemed more bitchy towards this girl rather than the other girl from the last video with the bunny hoarder 🤔
I can relate to that girl. It seems like she wants to care for the bunny, but her parents are stopping her. Also, my one rabbit LOVES to chew toilet paper rolls.

Y’all saying she was rude she isn’t gonna sugar coat something that is serious this bunny is clearly loving and doesn’t need to have poor living conditions.and I’m so glad that the bunny is in better living conditions
The way the girl was fidgeting throughout most of the video and nervously looking over at her parents when you was asked some of the questions, I can they probably argue a lot/tell her off or controlling. The girl really enjoyed having someone there to help being on her side as the parents couldn’t argue. The parents also seemed surprised when the camera was filming like they knew they couldn’t complain about anything which is sad :( I hope they listened to the advice in this video and didn’t just get the hutch back. Also I hope that the girl is ok and that I was wrong 🥺💕
I love this concept and i hope you turn it into a series. I thought that you would of recommended another rabbit for that family as they tend to do better but I'm pretty sure there is a reason.
@@cascadestars Rabbits are extremely social animals with a hierarchy by nature. They do well in pairs or even small groups. So many people try pairing their bunnies up one or two times and give up when it doesn't work, labeling their bunny as "better alone." (Which every now and then there is a bun that's better solitary but it's rare) Most owners don't realize that sometimes you literally go through 6-7 rabs before your pet picks one it likes. Experienced owners know that the bun chooses the pairing, not the owner. That's why in rabbit rescues "rabbit dating" is common practice. If you give it the time and energy, and gods it takes quite a few "dates" sometimes, your rab will find a partner and be SOOOOO much happier. :3
I would totally get the hutch out of the trash not even gonna lie. My buns are free roam but I think you could totally use the hutch indoors. She got the hutch for Christmas and they spent 2 hours assembling it? Like come ON. I understand-- buns don't belong in hutches and cages their whole life. Totally with you there. But there's a lot you could do with the hutch... use it as a hidey house, add more stories (my buns love climbing up and down things), etc. I just felt bad when they kept saying it was a Christmas present and that they took awhile assembling it and everything and Lorelei didn't even acknowledge that. Everyone starts somewhere and honestly you could tell they cared. They said they bought the biggest hutch they could find and still gave the bun a playpen. I don't know... I just feel like this could have been approached in a more sensitive way... but that's just me.
I have a large cardboard box for my bunnies hide-a-way, but that hutch! Wow that's the cat's meow of hide-a-ways! Strawberry could certainly use that for "time alone". Not a fan of this 1/2 hour show; was hard to watch. Everybody has to start somewhere, but I don't think Loreilei is the one to promote a good rabbit care series for television. In short quips she's definitely watchable, beyond that, nah. But I do like the idea of it though, too many people don't know how to properly care for their bunnies. And this family is giving Strawberry a far better life than most bunnies get in their dinky cages. Kudos to that family!
@@piggylover4808 I totally agree with you! No hate to Lorelei, but she is quite opinionated when it comes to bunny care. There isn't only one right or wrong way to take care of bunnies-- and her approach isn't the only one that works. The feeling I was getting from watching these videos is that she thinks its her way or the highway. Like for example with the water bottle? It looked like a fine water bottle to me. I don't know if it leaked or not, but Lorelei looked straight up disgusted when she saw it. My bunnies drink out of a bowl, but they honestly don't have a preference. Both bowls and bottles have pros and cons, but like I said, there isn't just ONE right way to do things. Another popular bunny care channel is Hook's Hollands Ohio Holland Lops, and she uses water bottles. I actually bought the same water bottle that she has and it works really well, but I switched to using a bowl when I moved to my new apartment so my buns don't keep me up at night. Donating the bottle was a fine idea, but she didn't really give the family a choice... that's what bothered me.
The hutch definitely could still have some use! I like the idea of it being a hide,, I also like people with smaller cages turning them into a hay feeder because the rabbit can grab plenty of hay between the bars
I commented this because I thought our two reactions may have been funny, I’m obviously worried about the bunny, I absolutely love animals I fact I have 3 - 2 cats and a husky. I didn’t mean for anybody to take it the wrong way.
Her care, though not perfect, was a lot better than most. She's definitely trying her best. I thought you came on a little strong with picking apart her setup.
Brittney L I mean my rabbits live outside in a hutch just like hers but way bigger? I don’t understand what’s wrong with rabbits being outside? And she seems to be a lot better than many other people I have seen.
@@Katy-ix7tt Domestic rabbits and wild rabbits can't reproduce with one another because they've evolved so differently. So, the domestic breeds that we keep as pets, although from the same family, would not survive as easily as a wild rabbit. 😊
I feel like the parents won’t even take the advice. I feel like the daughter was really listening on how to help her bunny, but the parents were just nit really listening and they’re still going to do it their own way. I may be the only one that feels like this, but I just wanted to put it out there
Reading through the comments I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt the way I did after watching this. If another episode of this “series” comes out, I really hope Lorelei takes what everyone is saying about her tone/attitude into consideration.
Hello Lorelei! I don’t know if you will see this, but I wanted to tell you, how to maybe communicate with the people you help, in a way that would more likely get them to listen to the information you are telling them. And this is in absolutely no way hate. I love you and Lennon soo much. And I don’t expect to be listened to. I’m in no way in the position to tell you what to do. I’ve just noticed that when I’m personally trying to tell someone something that they don’t want to hear, it is easier for them to listen, when you ask them if they would want to do what they should do. For example, when you were telling them that they were going to throw away the hutch, and that the bunny was going to free roam. The don’t want to hear that. I’ve grown up with a lot of Narcissistic and bull headed people, and I’m not saying they were. But I find it easier to instead of suggesting, get them to think of it themselves. So a more effective way of getting your points through, would be to say. “ do you feel comfortable free roaming the bunny permanently? And would you be open to bunny proofing the place, and seeing how it works out. Also, are you able to get the bunny a more efficient litter box that could be filled with a lot more hay?” Again, I am not in any way accusing you of anything. But just try to think of how they feel when you are critiquing they’re setup. They might feel how you feel when someone tell you how to communicate to them better.... lol again I love you and Lennon so much. 💗💗💗💗
She definalty has a condescending tone. Her way isnt the only way. They could've free roamed her and moved the hutch inside. Wouldve been nice for when you need them safe and out of the way for a minute. Also would have been a good home base for the bunny to have her own space
@@user-ee7kb6sf5g Don't you think that by leaving the hutch they would be more likely to just put it outside again and go back to their old ways? Throwing it away was a good idea. Plus, Strawberry already has enough hiding spaces, Lorelei has taken care of that.
The parents were trying to defend themselves the whole time, while the daughter was honest and probably wanted the help the most to make the bunny’s life as great as possible
You gave great advice but there were a few times your tone of voice was a bit harsh and I thought the girl was going to get upset. The parents should know better, both about rabbit care and about taking constructive criticism, but the girl seemed young and like she may have taken your tone and wording personally. Hopefully that’s not the case, but it was certainly a fear of mine as I watched.
Bunnys require more than dogs or cats as far as care. They are so much different than any other pet. I wish she would have come to visit me first before we got our bunny. Its called tough love. They need to learn how to incorporate that beautiful bunny into their family. They are like any other family member. They are not farm animals or meat rabbits. Hutches are for hamsters, not bunnys.
I agree with all your advice but damn. I wouldn’t be surprised if none of your advice was received. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they got rid of the poor bunny after that ordeal.
Lucy Gonzalez I’m getting the feeling that the parents are not looking forward to changing their house to accommodate accommodate a pet. Or the fact that the rabbit actually will need more hay (money and effort) than they expected. Thus, I doubt if the family came by all this without a third-party like Lorelei, the decision would be different.
I feel so bad for the kid, she was worried for the bunny, and for no one teaching her how to take care of one properly, she did a pretty good job, you can just see that shes almost in tears at 13:36. I feel so bad for her 😭
I feel like you should be more uplifting and positively/kindly recommend & give tips to them on this or that, while respecting the home. It just feels like you're awkwardly roasting them xp
@@ahmedfaz1371 I rephrased my response for you. I'm not bullying anyone, I am just giving my opinion. Bullying is a constant act of rudeness and intentions to harm. Which I do not.
i have a hatred for the mother saying things like “haha i never knew those were in there” while the daughter is being more responsible then the parents
I want to like this series but even after watching it a second time, the entire video is sooo awkward lol, I hope that she learns to change her attitude if she wants people to be receptive to her advice. so many times she glares rudely at the young girl, and doesnt acknowledge that their mistakes arent fully their fault. many are uneducated with rabbit care. I just feel like she made them feel guilty and bad and that isnt exactly necessary in order to instill change.
I agree that their mistakes aren't their fault but not once in that ENTIRE video did she "glare rudely" at anyone. She was a bit harsh but the family took it quite well. It's not nice too hate on anyone even if you wern't trying too.
I felt bad for the little girl, I could tell she knew the situation was wrong but her parents weren’t listening. And also I thought it was funny when this happened... Lorelei:does she have any chew t- hiiii baby aww your such a cutie!!! That’s literally me😂 Edit: Lorelei liked it!! I just got starstruck!!
Ok but you really didn’t have to throw out the hutch could have been donated to a rescue I know the one in my location uses them also could have just been a home base sort of thing
I really respect the ambition of trying to do this sort of series independently. I imagine it will be challenging without the benefit of a support team like those who do these types of things on television have. Coming into someone's home and reinstructing them as to how they do things could easily come across as more combative when it's literally just an inividual with a single camera person. This actually went much smoother than I would have thought.
She’s a child...obviously as a young girl she’ll need to be educated about taking care of a bunny, which is a very hard animal to upkeep. So, I’d say, instead of being extremely judgmental and arrogant, be more polite and have some manners in someone else’s home 👌🏻
She's very strict and kinda rude in her way but she means no harm just that she can rephrase sentences to be a more neutral and not make then sound like they are doing the worst job in the world tho she's very precise in saying what to do
trevell freeman are you telling the person who is just trying to give her some good advice on how to not seem so harsh and cocky like she knows everything? Or is this a hate comment? Either way YOU go to hell
Mmmhm the way she told them that they were going to permanently roam her inside and throw out the hutch was uncalled for. Could've kept it as a safe place for Berry. Free roaming isnt always the best for every family either. Could be suggested moving the pen and hutch inside for at night/when they aren't home
I disagree. If they kept the hutch they would have put the rabbit back outdoors. The hutch was enabling them to keep their rabbit in an improper housing situation. It's almost like a hoarder in the sense that you have to throw away everything that's enabling their bad behavior
@@Moon_samurai128 keeping a rabbit in a hutch with an attached exersize pen is not "improper" housing if the bun is getting time outside of the habitat when they're home. Bunnies can live perfectly happy lives being "crated" just like dogs
@@user-ee7kb6sf5g but the pen is improper for outside use. The top isn't even enclosed to keep out predators. If they really wanted to keep the rabbit safe they would have at least chicken wired the top so the enclosure would be secure. And bunnies are not dogs. They are prey animals and extremely vulnerable when left outside unattended. If you're going to "crate" them, crate them properly
@@monarchscried4915 Ok? He could resell it 😭 if a person who’s good with bunnies is truna help u why would u talk back over a hutch that prolly cost like 200 dollars??
like she walked into their house and made them feel extremely insecure.. she didn’t even praise them for trying their best with their efforts. this family was simply uneducated and didn’t deserve to be as put down as they were. except for the toy part..
I honestly wish I had listened to you sooner on free roaming, I’m now free roaming my second rabbit and so happy now! He flops wherever he wants even though my room isn’t that big I can tell he appreciates us sharing the room now. He sleeps on my blankets in my closet. He doesn’t chew cords or wood so that’s a plus he also encourages me to keep my room clean. 💕🤧
When you told them to throw away the stuff they didn’t use you could’ve just said “we can keep this in case you need it later” and you didn’t need to throw away the hutch.
I don’t understand the strong disagreements towards trashing the hutch. It really is a big step towards making the bunnies life better and if they never threw it away then who knows, they might’ve went back to their old way by putting the bunny in it again. Also, the bunny hates the hutch and would probably never like to use it due to past experiences of being shoved in there. It might be a good idea to donate/ sell it, but I just feel like it doesn’t require so much hate/ disagreement comments and concerns on this situation. Also, Loreili most likely knows what’s best for the hutch situation since she herself was with them and experience first hand the hutch and how reluctant they would be to throw it away, which means there’s still a chance they want to use it. It was for the best and so much criticism shouldn’t be held on this small problem.
When people get defensive and act super uncomfortable around you ... it means you aren’t approaching them the right way. I suggest being a little kinder and more open- minded to others .
Mia Sullivan Yeah especially bc that girl obviously was trying her best to take care of that rabbit. And I think she was being overdramatic about certain things
Lily Smith yeah like she just thinks all rabbits need to be like people and I understand her but she has to understand other people don’t feel the same as her and she can’t force it on people if that makes sense
All pets: Kid: can we get a pet daddy? Dad: ok *gets bunny* Mom: did you have to get a bunny! I hate it Bunny: mother you are now my favorite thing Kid: I love you Bunny: nah
Yes that’s what I was thinking. Hutches can be good if used properly. Like as a home base indoors with the door open for the bunny to use as a place to hide or hang out.

Coming from Germany I actually don't have that much of a problem with how she talks since we communicate in a really honest way as well without beautifying anything. BUT the problem I have with the video is that it seems to me that she thinks she knows everything best and the family has to do it exactly like she wants it to be. Honestly there are so many different ways to keep your rabbits happy and healthy. Besides that I personally think she should at first solve her own rabbit situation, cause encouraging others to keep rabbits alone is an absolute No-Go for me 🤷🏻

I thought that you would of recommended another rabbit for that family as they tend to do better but I'm pretty sure there is a reason.
why would she have recommended another rabbit?
@@HangryKitsune Same. My buns fought several times while bonding and now they're a happy husbun and wife duo. :)
ZeroG151 it’s not just you, I totally agree with you!’
@@ZeroG151 I actually gave my bun both a water bottle and a bowl .. but he chooses to drink from the water bottle much to my surprise.
The hutch definitely could still have some use! I like the idea of it being a hide,, I also like people with smaller cages turning them into a hay feeder because the rabbit can grab plenty of hay between the bars

Reading through the comments I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt the way I did after watching this. If another episode of this “series” comes out, I really hope Lorelei takes what everyone is saying about her tone/attitude into consideration.
Exactly.
I LOVE how honest you are, and the girls responding but, the parents are just like frozen not saying anything
Earrame Saranam Nice suggestion (I was kind of thinking the same thing) But tbh I’ve seen more people being more mean
She definalty has a condescending tone. Her way isnt the only way. They could've free roamed her and moved the hutch inside. Wouldve been nice for when you need them safe and out of the way for a minute. Also would have been a good home base for the bunny to have her own space
Yeah, as I got further into the video I thought, 'is she usually like this?'.
@@user-ee7kb6sf5g Don't you think that by leaving the hutch they would be more likely to just put it outside again and go back to their old ways? Throwing it away was a good idea. Plus, Strawberry already has enough hiding spaces, Lorelei has taken care of that.
@@user-ee7kb6sf5g And btw how rude of you to judge her by the tone of her voice.
I was thinking I could not do this, as I would be yelling at people!
I wouldve told her to leave tbh. Dont talk down to people when you say your trying to help educate them

especially considering the girl reached out to her in the first place... clearly she was open to change
Hutches are for hamsters, not bunnys.
awww the girl looks like she’s gonna cry of happiness when you showed her all the gifts you got her.

I dont think that was the issue, I think she really could have spoken a bit differently and given them the information in a less condescending tone
She’s a child...obviously as a young girl she’ll need to be educated about taking care of a bunny, which is a very hard animal to upkeep. So, I’d say, instead of being extremely judgmental and arrogant, be more polite and have some manners in someone else’s home 👌🏻

Justcallme Jack41 yeah but they don’t know that. What she says just makes her sound cocky. (To them, at least)
You could’ve put the hutch in the house as a hide rather than throwing it away
yeah idk why shes so against them if they arent living in it, it can be fine for them to hang out in
Mmmhm the way she told them that they were going to permanently roam her inside and throw out the hutch was uncalled for.
Bunnies can live perfectly happy lives being "crated" just like dogs

like she walked into their house and made them feel extremely insecure.. she didn’t even praise them for trying their best with their efforts. this family was simply uneducated and didn’t deserve to be as put down as they were. except for the toy part..
They probably got the hutch out of the trash by now tho😂😂
It’s just Humphrey ! No she paid them 90 dollars people don’t usually do that. Not to mention but I’m pretty sure they paid for everything so.
They definitely got it out of the trash XD They kept the hutch and got $90.
I would have fished it out. Too. Sell it on E - Bay.
Lorelai with bunnies: HI 🥺💕💖💜🥰😇

@@hamztergurltv3299 LOL duh
Look how gently he put that hutch in the dumpster, I know the dad going to pick that cage back out the dumpster as soon they’re gone 😂🤣😂🤣
Strawberry looked SO much more joyfull by the end of the video! Great job!
When people get defensive and act super uncomfortable around you ... it means you aren’t approaching them the right way. I suggest being a little kinder and more open- minded to others .

I was talking to the girl who posted the video . Who else ?
I know what u mean she’s being sorta rude and is like *through this out*

Yeah especially bc that girl obviously was trying her best to take care of that rabbit. And I think she was being overdramatic about certain things
Lily Smith yeah like she just thinks all rabbits need to be like people and I understand her but she has to understand other people don’t feel the same as her and she can’t force it on people if that makes sense

Kid: can we get a pet daddy?
Dad: ok *gets bunny*

Go vegan if you care in the even slightest about emotional sentient beings
The crickets sounds when you said to free roam the bunny 😂😂😂
I know you are trying to help but could you show a bit more respect towards this family
Ooo, I’d totally be interested in a bunny makeover
You can do it yourselves~ 🙂
True she gave so much feedback that any one xould make a diy bunny makeover
Yeah, you’re right, thanks for the encouragement 😊
Me: watching rabbit videos

@@carlgordon8363 lol i have a hamster too and a bunny so theres reasons lmao
I love how you’re trying to help them and you even offered them money to throw it away
You could of used the hutch in the house as a little house, just like take the door off ..
grace sinton yes good ider I have a Channel if you wanna come and see it but you don’t have to
Yes that’s what I was thinking. Hutches can be good if used properly. Like as a home base indoors with the door open for the bunny to use as a place to hide or hang out.
Hello we are actually back here to tell you Strawberry is a lot happier. We thank you for all your knowledge about rabbits and how to make everything better with our setup. Meara did a lot of research and we think we are doing a lot better.Thank you also for the amazing new litter box, cage, toys and more! Hope you keep spreading to people how to actually care for rabbits. Kind regards, River, Meara and Strawberry 🍓PS. Also thanks from TJ
Aww this is so lovely. Hopefully Lorelei reads this soon. Strawberry is the cutest bun and you have a gorgeous daughter. May you all live a happy long life together with lil Strawberry!!
Thanks so much!
Belinda Rigg :) Thanks for being better people than expectations. I hope a happier Strawberry has been giving you love in return for all the effort you had made on her behalf~
Where’s the hutch now? The bet y’all got it back out
•cloudy• Sky no we did not actually. Still using the one she got for us!! Such a big change for Strawberry.
You are making these animals life’s better you are an amazing person and human being
I guarantee they took that hutch back out after you left, the nerve of telling someone to throw away their Christmas gift! All you had to say was keep the hutch open at all times, simple.
It would be a nice hide for the rabbit then...
It is living out side, and the hutch was to small even with it open because it can climb out of the cage ..
They could have just used it inside
Vy Cao that’s the point leave it open so it can be a hang out area for the bunny
Besides that I personally think she should at first solve her own rabbit situation, cause encouraging others to keep rabbits alone is an absolute No-Go for me 🤷🏻
Thank you! I agree
@@HangryKitsune genau meine Gedanken! Ich find's auch echt schlimm dass ihre Zuschauer einen regelrecht attackieren wenn man etwas anders sieht.
Genau)) I agree she wasn't rude in any way, its called constructive criticism. If she didn't do it, nothing would have changed.
Supi!
Keine Ahnung, wirkt einfach komisch.

I was waiting for someone else to notice this..
My Mr. Spock still doesnt like being picked up much. He usually jumps in my lap anyways!
I like. How in all these episodes she not only shows them how to make a better cage but it also shows them how to help them take care of their bunnies better
