So the other night I heard a horn that sounded like an RS3L... but it didn't have it's signature RS bark. So I thought... it might have been a Prime, or a pre-RS Leslie (I'd think those would be more rare on railroads than RS heads)... one final thing I considered is that they got a hand on a Nathan RL 3B, 1L and 1 which should play a Cdim, same as the RS3L. I'm guessing that's what the K3LP is? I'm surprised to learn it uses a 2P1L. I'll have to look into it!
I hope the one with the 2PC 1L will sound better. I actually prefer the 1PC 1L version as it has to match the others. The K3LP in this video has the bells mounted correctly, but the bell 3B should be reversed to match the Leslie horns. It's like taking an RS3L with the 44 reversed
Where do you find/get these vintage horns? I have been trying to find a Buell Trombone G-2027 for the longest time but am not able to find any. Wondering if there are any other websites you use to find these kind of horns. Also is there a place to look up part numbers on listings where people are not very clear. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks man! And to be honest I just hunt around a lot on eBay,marketplace and other platforms like that. As far as a place to look things up not really. I have an Instagram. If you have any questions just shoot me a PM over there
Can't wait to hear all of them
Man you should go on tour with all these horns! Come here to Texas at Saginaw!
Your still the King
That transition era K5 is sweet, also the Frisco 5T is a great addition being the Frisco serving Memphis.

A K3LP with a 2PC 1L? I bet it sounds amazing like a RS3L or S3L!
I don't know where people get the Early K5HL's from, as that horn is on my wishlist!
Iv got a Early K5HL with a 2P1L I’m considering selling. Its ex BNSF if you’re interested. Holler at me over on my Instagram if so 😉
@@TheHornKing That would be great, but the question is how can I find one myself, and how much it costs?
Everyone's talking about the K3LP, but here's a mutt idea: The K4H! Basically it's just a normal K3H but with a KS-5 added to mimic the Leslie S4T.
Yea that could be pretty sweet
Cant wait to hear em, especially the K3LP and maybe if you have the time a horn battle with the K3LP/S3L/RS3L.

great video friend, how expensive can a horn be? since I would like to have one
Really just depends. K3s range from $700-$800. K5s from $1100-$1300. RS5Ts from $1600-$2000
@@TheHornKing thank you, I need to start save money
